This is something for myself. I'm not going to make this story perfect, as it will be at the top of my head to help pass the time when I'm free.
Stripekit was born with her parents, Leafshade and Blazestorm. They were born in a clan, but the two warriors lost their clan due to a battle with rogues. Many of them were either scattered or became kittypets; their previous leader lost its nine lives. Leafshade, Stripekit's mother, had been hoping to rebuild their clan.
I wonder what it would have been like, living a clan life. Stripekit wanted to have the experience. Her mother told her that cats hunted and patrolled together; some shared prey, or fought battles and died for one another. It sounded a little scary.
Leafshade padded over to Stripekit and nuzzled her. The brown tabby she-cat brought her a pigeon. She dropped it and blinked her gorgeous emerald eyes.
"Eat, dear one," Leafshade purred. "I know prey is hard to find right now, but you must eat whatever we can find."
Stripekit blinked. She normally didn't like eating prey; she would rather have her mother's milk, but she was getting older, and Leafshade said that she needed to learn to eat some prey. So Stripekit nodded and began to pluck the feathers; some were stuck on her chin, and she had to sneeze. Leafshade let out a purr.
"Do you think there's any more clans out there?" Stripekit wondered. If there was one clan, surely there'd be more out there?
Leafshade tilted her head. "I'm not sure, dear," she murmured. "When FeatherClan disappeared, all their cats either died or became kittypets." She bowed her head as though she were sad. Stripekit felt sad for her mother. She probably misses her kin.
"Maybe we should find your kin!" Stripekit squeaked. "Do you think it's possible to find some of the older clan cats, and ask them to help rebuild FeatherClan? Because all we need are some warriors, a clan leader, a deputy, elders, and kits, right?"
"It's not as easy as that," Leafshade mewed. "There's also rules to follow, Stripekit, and we need four clans, not just one. Do you understand how many cats we'd have to find for this to work?"
Stripekit blinked. "But there's many kittypets out here in the neighborhood-"
"No." Leafshade lifted her paw to keep her kit quiet. "No more crazy ideas, Stripekit. I shouldn't have told you about my clan in the first place." The brown cat got up and picked Stripekit up by the scruff and dropped her in the nest. "Rest now, love," Leafshade murmured. "Tomorrow I'm going to teach you how to hunt, and Blazestorm will show you the area we live in."
Stripekit purred. She couldn't wait for her training tomorrow to become a better fighter and hunter.
