What you are saying makes sense. Now that they are all reunited after so long, Silverstream may be worried about how this will all work out. She did not have to worry about actually 'sharing' Graystripe before. I think it's realistic to have doubts like that once the situation actually happens. If anything I'm a bit upset that Graystripe didn't immediately react to having her around.
Feathertail looks more OOC though.

bro the scene with feathertail and silverstream being jealous is so beyond cringy...
anyway i'm really happy graystripe has finally kicked the bucket apparently. *points* THAT'S WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
i also really wanted to see bristleroot but they don't even get an afterlife together. really sucks.

Seeing as there is no way that either Bramblestar or Squirrelflight will die in the remaining chapters because the action is clearly over after Bristlefrost's death, I will soon change my name, profile picture, status and signature to something else which I had planned out previously in anticipation of an outcome that just will never happen. I also wanted Lionblaze to either become leader or sacrifice himself to save Shadowsight after having it out for him the entire arc. He is probably going back to being a background warrior now that his storyline in TBC is done. Oh well. *sigh*

So I think I’ve figured out why I like the death scene so much and it has revived some of my fondness for Bristle. She was originally my favorite protagonist in the first book, but she eventually devolved into kind of a camera and had the sudden romance that felt like it came out of no where on her side

But with her death, I’m reminded of the more reckless and brave cat we were introduced to in the first TBC book. She’s not sad for herself dying, just regrets Rootspring’s sadness, because saving and serving her clan were always the most important things to her, and with her death, she’d accomplished that and was at peace. I felt like that was the original Bristle peeking through

The cats all wake up back in the living world. Shadowsight sees that Bristlefrost’s body was not dead, was not injured, but rather, it was completely gone. Their kin had come to meet them, looking all eager, they all reunite with their kin.

Ivypool looks at Shadowsight with narrowed eyes and asks him where Bristlefrost is. She asks Rootspring if they lost Bristlefrost, saying that her body was here and after taking her eyes away from her for a moment she was just completely gone. Mistystar answers for him, saying they indeed did and that she died a hero, pushing Ashfur into the river.

Bramblestar asks who wounded Graystripe so badly, Mistystar replies by telling him it was Ashfur. The moss covering his wound and loosened when reuniting with his body and blood was pouring out again. Dovewing notices Shadowsight is also back and he and Tigerstar embrace him. They fuss of his injury, which makes Breezepelt ask Crowfeather is he is hurt. Ivypool, while staring at the Moonpool, softly says they don’t even have Bristlefrost’s body to bury. Tree and Rootspring try to comfort her.

Graystripe is lying on his side in pain. Mothwing applies cobweb that the Sisters fetched, but Graystripe tells them he is going to StarClan. Bramblestar tells him ThunderClan has been lucky to have him. Graystripe tells him to say goodbye to the Clan and his kits for him, hoping they live long and happy lives. He tells Squirrelflight he gave Ashfur her message, which he carried to his death. Shadowisght adds that Ashfur is gone forever, wanting Squirrelflight to know that she will never have to deal with him again. He suggests that the medicine cats should meet at the Moonpool tomorrow to share with them, Mothwing agreeing while tending to Graystripe’s wounds.

Graystripe tells them it is no use and to let him go to StarClan. Mothwing doesn’t fight him and lets him put his head down and close his eyes.

Shadowsight’s paws are still on Graystripe’s belly when he feels a sudden stillness like he would in prey. Mothwing gently tells them he is gone.

Bramblestar crouches near Graystripe and lets out a long, low yowl, Squirrelflight joining him until every stone rings in their grief.

i hope im not the only one who hopes bristlefrost is actually gone. don’t get me wrong, she’s definitely one of my favorite protagonists besides twigbranch and dovewing, but i want her death to be truly impactful and not for the writers to go “oops, she’s not really gone and will be shoved into the body of one of spotfurs kits!”

and that’s good. even if i didn’t like that she died twice and never got the chance to go to starclan, i also don’t want her to just come back.

Wow. Graystripe was finally killed off. I was waiting for so long for this moment. Atleast he'll be with his loved ones again.
Also, i love just how well-written his death is. Luckily, the end to his story was satisfying.
