I remember being around 9 or 10 and my friends and I would play these weird cat games at recess where we all had these really bizarre names that made no sense to me at the time, and we would "fight" and "hunt" and stuff like that. My friends kept telling me it was based on this book series they were reading, but I was adamant that I would not read them. I hated reading, I wanted nothing to do with them. Finally when I was around 11 my friend talked me into reading just the first chapter or two of Into the Wild over the summer - she let me borrow her book and I read the first few chapters at summer camp. And I loved it. I brought that book home and read the entire thing over the next two days or so. I begged my dad to take me to the book store to get the next one. I finished it within two days. So next time my dad took me to the book store, he let me get three. I finished them within a week. And so started the tradition of going to Borders (may be dating myself a bit here) every week when I'd go to my dad's house, he'd buy me the next few Warriors books and I would read all of them. I was hooked. I remember later that year, at Christmas, I was sitting on the couch reading a Warriors book (I don't remember which one) and my mom turned off the light because she wanted to sit with just the Christmas lights on while watching TV. I argued and told her that I was reading, asking her to turn it back on. I very clearly remember her saying "Can't you just watch TV like a normal kid?"
I was into Warriors for a few years. All of my friends stopped reading not too long after I started. It got lame for them. But I was hooked. I stopped reading sometime around 8th grade. I lost my interest as I got older. And then when I was 19, I came across an old Warriors book in my closet (specifically, Sunrise). It was filled with notes and drawings that I had done on the pages. And I tore through that entire book that night. I found a website that had PDFs for all of the Warriors books for free to download on my phone (the website no longer exists, and I do purchase the new ones now - at the time I was a cheap college student though). And I've been reading them ever since. I read them at night before I go to bed. It's always nice to have something familiar as I'm relaxing to get to sleep.

I started the books when I was five (first grade for me) after staring at Dark River in my schools library. Since it had just been released a month or two before hand it took me a while to get my hands on it. Had no clue that I needed to start with Into the Wild but eventually figured it out when the librarian told me. My parents would eventually buy me the whole series up to when it had been released so that I could read from the begining. Haven't stopped since lol, I own and have read every warriors book that's been released as of now. Don't regret it at all.

I think it was around 2008, a librarian recommended it to my sibling so they borrowed Into the Wild, but felt a little too old for it. But it looked interesting to me so I started reading it, and the rest is history.
Funny story, it took me at least two books before I realized that "Twolegs" is just... two legs. I kept reading it as one word, pronouncing it how it was spelled, and being very confused what that meant LOL. (Literally up until some point where a book mentioned them having two legs. I facepalmed so hard when I realized.)

I was introduced to Warrior Cats in School in 2016 or 2017 and thought it was crap. Later I searched for good books online and saw Warrior Cats again (im german) I started reading them, enjoyed them. Bought all of them until i read to The Silent Thaw. I then didnt want to wait for Veil Of Shadows to release in german, so I bought it in English.

But I for sure do .

My sister showed me a Scourge map. Then I found out that it was a book series. And it wasn't about Scourge

Spoiler threads period irritate me , because there so tempting to click and read through , cause part of me wants to spoil myself , and the other half resists the urge too. Never understood why people like spoiling all the goods before they read the book , kills the excitement .

My interest in Warriors started around 2009 (or 2008, I'm not sure) when a friend and I were at Barnes & Noble. She introduced me to it. I started with Midnight, read through the rest of The New Prophecy, and when back to The Prophecies Begin. I loved the journey and the characters, mostly Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. They were awesome!
I've liked reading for a while before that, but it was Warriors that made me love reading even more. However, it's been slightly disappointing the past year, so I now read them to see the end.
I only have a couple official merchandise, the Jayfeather and Squirrelflight plushies, so nothing unofficial.
