How do these cats stand being bit by squirrels, rats, etc? I mean I'm sure their prey struggles and fights back sometimes right?
Short story: the other day before I went to work, I woke up and found a baby squirrel in my kitchen. I caught him half asleep with oven mitts and he still managed to bite through and break the skin on my finger. I also work with some angry cats at my hospital every day and this was a THOUSAND TIMES more painful than getting scratched there. Aside from the fact that Warriors cats aren't fixed so at least the tom's will have thicker skin, I don't know how they handle it. xD

Longtail got messed up by a rabbit and ended up blind, and several cats have died to rats (Foxheart, Rainfur, Hailstar). There's also herbs for rat bites

I'm aware, but I'm just speaking about day to day hunting. Just something to think about.

Wild garlic is used for rat bites but Idk about the others, that's a good question

Tbh honest most people I know would rather get bit by a rat than have their arms shredded and bitten by a cat. Rats don’t really faze me that much, even when they break skin. One time, a rat bit through my finger nail. It hurt, but I didn’t realize how badly he got me until a couple hours later when I took off my glove, behold a hand coated in blood. Oops
Rabbits on the other hand, they got fricking talons on their hind paws. I have permanent lines on my arms from being scratched by rabbits. And their bites, they HURT. Even when they barely get you and don’t break skin, the pinching and crushing motion they can do with their blunt teeth and strong jaws is the true meaning of pain. Meanwhile WindClan hunts these animals, animals probably the same size as them, with no problem everyday. Cats have fur to protect them so there’s that?

I'd assume that these cats are so used to hunting by now that they've perfected their hunting techniques so they won't get severely injured just going on a day-to-day hunting patrol.
