I'm not ignoring anything about his character. There's stuff that I literally just didn't know happened until this point. I literally said lmao good point earlier because again, half the stuff that happened with him I haven't read with him yet. Like I get it it's annoying to have someone ignore someone's character, but don't act like someone's doing that when they haven't read all the material with him. I've read up to like omen of the stars, bramblestar's storm, and the snippet where he hits on her during Purdy's funeral, and that was a while back tbh. like I don't know exactly what screamed that I was ignoring his character but I'm mostly going off what I know personally. AS WELL AS I feel like his social relationships are very important towards thinking about apprentices. There's been instances where a cat's beliefs and social life has bled into their apprentices. Like idk why would I feel the need to actively lie by ignoring facts about him that I didn't know/remember in the first place. I just remember him being creepy. Like I'm not mad and I know y'all aren't either but I don't think it's very much a constructive debate to jump out and say that I'm ignoring his character
I get that. I was unaware that you hadn’t read that far. I’m just very used to people letting their hate and bias for a character blind them to what actually happens in the story and they use that as an excuse to attack people, which has happened very recently in this fandom. I apologize if I upset you. I promise you nobody is mad at you or saying you can’t have your opinions based on what you know. I just was explaining what does happen in the books. Once you read that far, you’ll see the scene I was talking about. I was glad they added it in and assured that he didn’t make a fuss at all of her choosing Tigerheart.

Phew, I’ll tell you, AVOS is…something to get through, but by the end it’ll show Dovewing and Tigerheart’s loooong dragging story and will show Bumblestripe’s reaction to it. The whole arc is just a big frustration at times but other parts are pretty good, so I’d say give it a read if you want!

If this person wants to understand DovexTiger, then I recommend to them Tigerheart's Shadow. It won't explain much of Bumblestripe and his reaction to it, but some of it shows how Ivypool feels about Tigerheart, and how Tigerheart feels about his family and Dovewing. It's a good book to look into if they wanna understand Dovewing and Tigerheart together as a couple.

Or, in my case, if they want to experience the rawest rage and the basic finishing point of my faith in the series of a whole, you can get it all in Tigerheart’s Shadow as well lmaooo.

Agreed, imo that book just shows how insufferable and selfish both DoveTiger can be. You don't understand how badly I just wanted Ivypool to finally out them for the traitorous cowards they were. That entire book is the best way to give yourself a migraine.

Imagine my face just crumpling when they announced a Tigerheart SE and I knew in my heart that it meant Rowanstar was gonna get kicked down even harder and die simply so this insufferable Tiger-clone could get Gary-Stu powers and become leader. I sat there and thought “This is the book that ends it all, here we go.”
