How do you feel about the way she treated Firestar before, back when she was younger?

She didn't treat him nicely at first, but I'm glad she learned that what she was doing was wrong. I mean most of her treatment of him was when she was an apprentice, so I don't think it can really be held against her.

Unnecessarily rude, she's always been aggressive specially towards things she doesn't trust or like, and I love that about her as a character! I don't feel good reading bullies though :c and while I love Sandstorm reading her being mean to Firepaw as apprentices makes me sad always ahahah, plus I'm not a fan of the trope of bullied guy makes bully girl fall in love with him, or any of the romances in Warriors to be honest In conclusion: I wouldn't change a thing but it's not for me </3

While it is good that Sandstorm overcame her bias against Firestar's heritage, it is still one of the reasons why I don't ship them. I'm aware this behaviour she had was due to the way the Clans spoke about and treated outsiders but will never like how this trope of "falling in love with a former bully" got shown with FireSand.

Sandstorm treated Firestar really badly and romance trope or not, I'm glad she stopped and that they were able to live happily together. <//3

It was okay in the long run, so I don't mind aaall too much. Still, even after they got together, I do think Sandstorm was unfair to Firestar - and annoying - at times. They are usually seen as a drama free couple, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows if you look at late TPB and FQ. Right now I'm mainly thinking about when Sandstorm was upset she wasn't getting an apprentice, or when she went 'you never really wanted me as your mate'.
My headcanon is that Sandstorm mellowed with time obviously, but also that her journey with Firestar, Squirrelpaw going missing in Midnight and the destruction of the forest all played a part in that.

Rubbed me the wrong way. Even after re-reading the series, I still wasn't fond of it, so I'm also not fond of SandFire either. Back when I first read the series, I myself was dealing with bullying, in school, and I found it kinda repulsive to see their relationship end up the way it did. While later in the years I tolerated the pairing, but from a writing stand point I still don't think it's a good relationship. If anything Sand's character ended up just becoming an accessory to Firestar's character, and the only time I ever found her interesting was either with Dustpelt, or when she was an elder interacting with Alderheart.

I didin't mind it that much, i'm glad she learned from her mistakes though and treated him better later on.

It was just an apprentice's mistake, and I don't blame her too much, because Bluestar's ThunderClan was very biased against kittypets. I don't hold it against her, even though I didn't like her treatment to Firepaw. It'll be like judging Dovewing and Ivypool back when they were apprentices. Sandpaw learned and moved on (even quicker than Dustpaw) and is now kind towards kittypets.
