"I wonder if there is just more food for them here compared to what was in the forest, or maybe similar to csts and it just has to deal with lineage."

Darkriver nodded but couldnt speak with her mouth full of mouse. "your probaly right" she said when she finally swallowed her food. She sat down and started grooming her fur waiting for Iriscry to finish eating

Iriscry took a few more bites, soon finishing off her mouse, making a small hole to put the remains in, leaving it uncovered to let Darkrive put hers in the small hole. She licked at her fur quickly.

Darkriver looked at Iriscry thankfully as she scooped her remains in the whole and covered it up. She streatched luxuriously. "weathers nice today" she said " i wish i were on patrol with you this morning" she breathed in the air deeply taking in all the scents of camp and nature.

Iriscry covered the hole after Darkriver put her scraps in it. "There are still plenty of patrols to do today," she said. "I'm sure you'll get out there soon enough." She stood up stretching her legs abit. "But if you want we could go out for a walk?"

"I don't mind it," she said. "I'll be needing to train my apprentice later anyways." She enjoyed being active and doing things, finding that rest just made her feel uncomfortable during the day time. It just felt off to the she cat.

Iriscry thought for a bit. "Maybe close to that farm," she suggested. "Or we could head towards the twolegplace." Shebknew the farm would be safer since that twoleg kept cats themself and didn't seem to mind when clan cats showed up as long as they didn't disturb the cows.

im not fully sure we ever fully dedicated a place on the territory where the farm is, but it would need to be away from the burned forest since it is a farm that is still thriving, as for the town im not sure there either)

Darkriver scratched her ear quickly and followed Iriscry out of camp. She looked over at her clanmate and smiled mischievously. "race you to that rock over their" she flicked her tail at a larger stone sticking out of the ground quite a few foxlengths away, and raced ahead.

"But if your choices are already set I have no reason to doubt your decisions ofcourse." --- Hawkeyes258 // Ravenheart searching for Flamefall Ravenheart had left camp in search for her mate. She couldn't sit around any longer, watching Hawkstar just made resentment burn inside of her. Somewhere along the entrance she'd caught Flamefall's scent, so he shouldn't be too far away. Hopefully she would find him alone. (My apprentices are open!)

Quickpaw puffed her chest out a bit as Birchpaw agreed with her, “exactly! First we’re going to have to train together!” She mewed enthusiastically, taking it a bit too serious. But she enjoyed the thought of it in the moment, and it didn’t seem like a half bad idea. They could save the clan, and just like Birchpaw mentioned they could end up in the elders tales! Birchpaw twitches his whiskers in amusement at her. "Suppose, I could use some advice on the more advance hunting techniques." He could hunt well enough but certain prey like rabbits and birds were hard for him to catch. |

"Any particular reason why?" Hawkstar asked. He wanted to know what the young cat was thinking. Did he want the experience of training an apprentice or did he have a fondness for one of the kits? He had no reason to judge Sootwing especially considering the tom was loyal to him.
Foxfall, who was coming back from a patrol, spots Ravenheart and bounds up to her. "Hello beautiful." He purred brushing up against her. "Looking for something or someone?"

Sootwing paused for a moment, thinking over his reply. "I think I'm ready to be a mentor." He answered honestly. Though, he wasn't going to admit that he had a growing soft spot for them. Was that even true? Or did he just really want to be a mentor? He wasn't sure yet. "I'd like to teach them what it means to be a warrior; to become someone who trusts it's leader." The last part was a snide comment towards Heronpaw, who seemed to linger within hearing distance. But it could easily be taken as a comment towards the other warriors who didn't agree with Hawkstar.
// Ravenheart with Foxfall, in the forest
Ravenheart's eyes lit up at the sight of her mate and she purred as she felt his warmth against her pelt once again. She almost forgot why she was looking for him. After a moment of enjoying his presence her worries suddenly popped back into her head. "Oh uh.. I think we should go somewhere to talk.. Some place we won't be overheard." The last part was more of a whisper and her gaze had turned serious as she glanced around them, making sure no-one was there to follow the pair.

Hawkstar listens as Sootwing walked nodding his head at certain parts. "You have made some good points and I' will consider it." He didn't want to outright say that Sootwing was guaranteed an apprentice but wanted to keep him guessing.
Foxfall looked confused but didn't try and question it. "Let's head into the forest, We can talk there." He had a feeling this was something important.

Ravenheart nodded and padded further into the forest, stopping every once and again to see whether they would run into other cats. "I'm sorry Foxfall, I don't mean to worry you." She meowed once they reached a small clearing that was shielded by bushes and undergrowth. The warrior sat down on her haunches, facing Foxfall. Her eyes looked into his. This would change everything.. and she wasn't sure whether that was something she wanted to do. But she knew she couldn't keep this from him. She trusted her mate with her life. This wasn't something she could do alone.
