It seems like every prequel SE had a bully, who is your favorite and least favorite out of them?

Favorite is either Shrewclaw, Beetlenose, or Skyheart. One I found interesting, one was barely a bully imo, and the other we at least saw mature. Thistleclaw and Foxheart however were both incredibly annoying and never learned from their actions, but at least Thistleclaw was integral to the plot. Foxheart was just a bully for the sake of it.

It surprises me/makes me glad to see someone who doesn't absolutely hate Shrewclaw! He is second on my list, but I voted for Beetlenose, because I like him more, though, he did have more time to grow and mature than Shrewclaw did. I agree about Thistleclaw, Foxheart, I didn't really dislike much, but she was pretty annoying, I can't believe how fast they killed her off.

That is good how Skyheart matured, I just wish she would have faced something for what she did. Then again, she was a kit, and kits don't just learn that stuff on their own, but that shouldn't 100% excuse what she did.

What Skyheart did as a kit is one of the only times I've ever felt bad for Leopardstar (besides losing Brightsky and Whiteclaw). The fact that her parents didn't punish her for almost drowning a clanmate/denmate baffles me.

𝕱𝖑𝖚𝖙𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖋𝖆𝖑𝖑That's where I got my information as well! That sounds like a good idea to wait. FireleapBeetlenose is incredible, and his siblings are great too, I still don't understand why Voleclaw and Beetlenose seemed to switch personalities in the middle of the story though lol, I still like them all though.

Favorite is Shrewclaw, least favorite is Thistleclaw. I also chose Thistleclaw as my least favorite and Shrewclaw is a close second! Yea, Thistleclaw really sucks. He was the worst in Spottedleaf's Heart, it ruined him totally, he is a literal p3dophile now... I was thinking about putting Foxheart as my favorite bully, she was just such a b!tch and she never stopped being one, I thought she was funny.

𝐛𝐥𝟒𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐥Agreed, I thought Thistleclaw sucked before that, but that just threw his character completely into the ground. I don't think Foxheart was that bad honestly, and out of all the bullies, she wasn't bullying someone weaker, younger, and less aggressive than her. It seemed more like equal animosity between Yellowfang and Foxheart, rather than a bully/victim, but I still think she could be considered a bully, especially when Lizardstripe got involved with the bullying.

Agreed, and plus I don't see why she would be nice to Yellowfang, because Yellowfang was never nice to her, she was always complaining about her and refusing to play with her when they were younger. I know Foxheart isn't perfect, but yeah.

I haven't read these SEs in a long while and I haven't gotten a chance to read LH yet so I have no opinion on Skyheart yet (And I didn't look at what you guys talked about her so yea)
Beetlenose wasn't even that bad if I recall. He had moments ig but I don't remember disliking him at all. Just a little mean but he was a good cat.
I absolutely hate Shrewclaw. I don't think I ever felt anger towards a fictional cat before reading some of the stuff he's said. I hate how the book portrays him in a good-ish light at the end when Tallstar gets his 9 lives. Like shut up dude you bullied this cat for most of his life. It wasn't even in a playful way but deliberately hurtful.

I think Shrewclaw was a jerk too, but then I think about how he was a kit/apprentice for most of it, and he didn't learn that on his own, and only once did someone try to correct his behavior. He also didn't live long enough to fully mature and redeem himself like Beetlenose did, his death age on the wiki is listed as 15 moons old, whereas cats like Swiftpaw and Shrewpaw (TNP) were both killed off at 18 moons old. I can see why people wouldn't like him, but I just see him as a child who was never really ever taught any better until Tallstar beat the crap out of him. Though, that's not a good way to teach a lesson, it seemed to work for Shrewclaw.

Favorite was Foxheart, of course! (Maybe her fellow 1heart cat will dethrone her but I haven’t read LH yet.) I just enjoyed her both in SOTC and YS more than the others. (I also really like her name, even if it’s considered a TC insult.)
Least was Thistleclaw. He is the only one in the DF after all.

I see how you view him. I still don't think him being a child who was never taught better excuses him for his actions and words, however. I'm not saying that that is how you see him just to clarify! But, in general, I don't think the excessive bullying (and I think he also used claws during a training session with Tallpaw? I do not remember) can really be justified with anything.

I hope you're able to get the chance to re-read it again if you want to. I can understand that, I just like seeing all sides of a story, and even thinking about circumstances that could lead a character to behave the way they do before passing judgement, like in the case of Scorchfur, I'll admit he's an annoying jerk, but I also felt he was justified in feeling angry, his mate and one of his daughters got sick from yellowcough, and before Rowanstar, he was used to a leader who would have probably just fought Onestar with no mercy and taken the herbs to protect his clan, I'm not saying that's the right way to go about it, but I'm trying to look into the mind of a cat who was born and raised in one of the most hostile clans in the forest, before Rowanstar, Blackstar was the only leader he ever knew, and there's a stark difference between Blackstar and Rowanstar. However, there are some cases, where I have trouble understanding a character's perspective, mostly with forbidden relationships, because I'll never understand those. Shrewclaw did use his claws during a training session with Tallpaw, which was a jerk move, however, Tallstar is 2-3 moons younger than him, and he had just started training and was already showing Shrew up, so I can understand why he'd be angry, especially because he had such a low opinion of Tall to begin with, or so it seems, I believe that he could have been joking around, it doesn't make it right, but it seems plausible, and I'm not saying it's right to use your claws during a training session, but I can see why Shrew might feel a bit put out by it all. I know I'm probably most spouting BS, but this is how I few a lot of the "morally grey" characters.

mean and greenOh! Thank you so much, and you're welcome! That's understandable! Heck, I just read the newest novella pack just a few weeks ago, and most of it's already faded from my memory lol. I can't imagine re-reading all the Warriors books, I would die. I usually don't read any books more than once unless I reallyy get immersed into them like The Outsiders but that's a conversation for another thread haha.
