On polls I've made in the past asking about the favorite from a list of kits, when it comes to Dustpelt x Ferncloud's kits, Foxleap usually wins though, with Icecloud not being far behind. However, I recently read Spiderleg's full wiki, and I was in the process of reading Birchfall's, and they actually seem like two characters who had interesting personalities, and they also seem quite different form each other. So, with the usual winners of Foxleap and Icecloud out of the way, who do you like more out of these two brothers?

birchfall is so underrated...if people actually looked into his character, they'd realize he DOES have stuff to him. he's kind, attaches to people easily because of his naivity and soft heart, he's in tune with emotions. his losses early in his life, his sisters and then his shadowclan friends applekit and toadkit, made him this way. he also wishes to be mentor and is disappointed when whitewing gets an apprentice and he doesnt. he is also shown to be very upset when berrynose shuts him down about his old friendship with apple and toad...he CARES a LOT. thats how he is. when he's on the journey to find sol, he expresses love and worry for his pregnant mate whitewing. he's sweet. in oots, he's a stern father to dovepaw when she talks about her visions. when he tells ivypool about the dark forest, it's clear that he's still naive in nature and is one of the easily manipulated trainees who is obvlisious to the true purpose of it. he was a kit for majority of TNP. he wasn't born during tigerstar's reign, and he has little memory of hawkfrost because he was just a SUPER new apprentice when that stuff happened at the end of TNP. he's naive to the dark forest, which isnt his fault at all. he's not dumb. just naive and easily trusting because of how much of an emotional person he is. plus, birchfall is very hurt afterward when his father disowns him and wont even let him help burry ferncloud poor guy

I feel that he is often overlooked, because his shining moments were in arcs with a lot of new and exciting characters (at least for the fandom POV, I found everyone in TNP boring as and annoying as heck except Leafpool until the Crowfeather thing, and then she became annoying and boring as heck too) though, I can understand why other people would like these characters, they're just not my cup of tea. Then in POT, he had who I'll admit, the best written protagonists in that arc, and it also had some of the best background characterization. I feel that if Birchfall was a character in the first arc or AVOS, he'd have a bit more focus, though, idk.
