Before getting straight to the point, a little backstory. Apologies for being a bit dry.
For months I've been developing a small pet project that goes by the name of "WispClan" - a group of highly spiritual, passive cats that live in a dense birch forest by the sea.
Rewind the tape. A birch forest by the sea. Many questions arise from this, including:
What subspecies of birch trees are these?
Are there any other species of trees?
What types of flora/fungi/etc. thrive in this location?
What types of fauna can be found in this environment?
What is the climate and the weather like?
What is the topography like?
The answer to all these questions eludes me still. I made the perhaps foolish mistake of not basing this territory off of any real world location(s). The closest match I could find would be the Baltic sea, but further research will be required to see if this is a satisfactory location to extrapolate information and inspire my worldbuilding from.
Speaking of which, I've done countless hours of research on all of the subjects above with little to no results. All I'm finding are extensive lists of plants (very few of which grow in the same locations, or even on the same continents) while the remaining websites include charities, plant-a-tree causes, Minecraft posts, etc. The Internet is littered with these off topic of irrelevant discussions. Haha
To get to the point, I'm throwing my hands up in the air and I've finally considered asking for help. If anyone would like to assist me in developing this territory as part of a collab project, that would be really swell of you. :') Full credit will go towards your assistance of course!
Trust me, I know what I'm doing, writing wise.
I am perfectly capable of writing their lore, their ranking system, culture, traditions, allegiances, character profiles, etc. on my own - and I have been - but the backbone of all of this, WispClan's home, has remained an arduous task for me since day 1.
