If the Graphic Novel is really called Exile from ShadowClan and will indeed take place in the old forest territory, then there is another cat besides Nightstar it might also refer to: Blackstar (formerly known as Blackfoot). He was also exiled (or rather chased out) by ShadowClan and was a loyal follower to Brokenstar and Tigerstar when they were rogues (and in the latters case even beyond those days). While it can be argued that he already has a Novella which only came out this year, he would not be the first one to get both of those things as Ravenpaw also first got a Novella in 2016 and a while later his own Graphic Novel in 2018.Granted, I could be completely wrong about this and it will end up having a different title and protagonist than what I'm imagining but this was just an idea. Edit: The crossed out information about Ravenpaw's GN is partly false as Ravenpaw's Path originally got released without color as a three parter until 2010, fully but still colorless in 2015 and finally as a colored version in 2018. Thank you to 𝓣𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓵 for pointing out this mistake.

The first part of Ravenpaw's Path came out way back in 2009, with the other two parts coming out in 2010; the 2018 one is just a colored compilation of what we already had. And even if it had only come out in 2018, there's still a two year gap between the two Ravenpaw stories.
I doubt Blackstar will be getting another story on him this soon, especially when his novella already basically covered the more important parts about his life prior to becoming leader anyway, while we saw his exile in and rejoining ShadowClan in Tigerclaw's Fury.

Oh yeah your're right, I was wonderng why it said 2018 for Ravenpaw's manga release when I got the colourless version back in 2014 as a present. Forgot about that for a minute there. My bad. I still think that there is the possibility it could be about Blackstar though as we also got enough hints and information about Mudclaw's rebellion in Starlight (which came out a long time ago a well) but he still got a (fabulous) manga regardless. I'm probably wrong but just thought it to be another idea on the ShadowClan manga protagonist's possible identity. Guess we'll find out who it is soon(ish) anyways.

Like you said, there's a big gap, so you can't really equate the two, and besides, TLH was originally meant to be the final book anyway. A Mudclaw story wouldn't have been on their minds back then. Leafstar is really the only one I can think of that got a graphic novel soon after getting another story mostly to herself, and even then, it was a sequel to SD and meant to give Sol's origin story. If Blackstar ever gets another story to himself, it'd probably make more sense for it to be focused on his fall from grace as a leader rather than just seeing his life as a rogue again. That'd actually be something interesting to see imo.

It's probably wishful thinking on my part as I wanted for Blackstar to get an SE like Leopardstar did because they both were involved in Stonefur's execution and went on to still be leaders and have (more or less) interesting storylines afterwards. Oh well, I'm hoping he'll get something else then, sometime in the future.
