"I'm sure you will." He purred, as he shifted onto his side, enjoying the feeling of the sun on his pelt. He still couldn't fully relax though, part of him worried about the tension in the clan. Did something happen? He had completely missed Leafstar's ceremony after all. He didn't even know who the deputy was. He glanced around the camp, hoping to fine a cat that may be able to give him updates. He was sure Fawnkit saw everything but he couldn't say he would trust a kit to give him an accurate retelling.

Swiftbreeze laughed and shook his head, once again he was embarrassed that the kit seemed to be able to read him so easily. He shifted his forepaws slightly as he thought of what to say, “I just missed something important, but it’s fine. I can get someone to fill me in later.” He explained.

Swiftbreeze perked up his ears, “I think you mean Leaf-“ he had to stop himself from using his leader’s warrior name, “ear, Leafstar. She is the one in charge of the clan.” He explained, giving her an amused look as he spoke. “She’s a very, very important cat.”

Darkriver fought the urge to find Owlpaw and take her out for training. She wondered if she should but knew the apprentice didn't really trust her or anyone in the clan. She shook her head and decided to leave well enough alone. She padded out of the camp and after a while made it deep into the forest. She scented the air and found herself padding towards a shrew. She stalked and pounced missing it by a whisker. She shook her head and scented the air again.


Doekit watched Swiftbreeze and Fawnkit talk and wondered why her sister trusted these cats. Cats who had done nothing to save her mother. Though she wasn't sure that Fawnkit realized their mother had died.

Swiftbreeze's ears perked up when she mentioned the prophecy, he had not expected Leafstar to have a prophecy so soon. He felt a little bad for the new leader, it must be slightly overwhelming to have so many events in such a small period of time. Still, he trusted Leafstar, he felt she would lead the clan well. "I'll be sure to ask someone then, thank you for telling me." He told her, feeling the burn of eyes on his pelt. He looked up and noticed Doekit staring at them from the medicine cat den, "it looks like your sister had grown curious."

Swiftbreeze glanced to Doekit for a moment, she certainly seemed cautious, but as he had thought previously, it was perfectly understandable. He would be too if he was at a strange place with strange cats. Part of him thought they would have been better off in the nursery even though they were close to apprentice age. "I see," he glanced back to Fawnkit, they two siblings were so different, it was as if one was the shadow of the other, "well, hopefully when you two become apprentices, she can find her place here." He mewed, hoping that Fawnkit wasn't secretly worried.
