I remember the rudeness. That ruined TBC for me, too. I'm sorry you had people talk crap about you. The idea for TBC was great, but the same darn cats keep taking the spotlight. These editors can't give them a break and use new characters. IKR , seriously This Series feels like Call of Duty . Yearly Releases that Feel exactly the same from the Previous with a slight mixing of the ingredients without adding anything different . TBC could of been #1 and the first 2 books were thrilling , 3rd was a little bland and slow paced , But now that it’s been revealed who the impostor is , and how he apparently garnered these powers , It Feels like CoD Ghosts Campaign, Super Contrived and very little explanation and backstory to why everything is happening , and why Ashfur wants to basically Destroy Starclan , the Dark forest , and exact revenge on the Living Clans , cause they did what to him exactly ? Outside of Hollyleaf murdering him and Squirrelflight turning him down , how are all the other clans responsible for his suffering ? I mean if he had actually been Banished to the dark forest for his crimes , then I could see reason for wanting to seek revenge on them , but the rest of the clans? I just don’t see it . I guess the only rationalization is he’s actually become a Deranged Psychopath , an extremely delusional one at that . Exactly. It's ridiculous. I can see him seeking revenge on Hollyleaf, but the clans in general since Squirrelflight rejected him? Big yikes! He's insane.

I just wanna complain about Pouncetail. I mean, he was literally an apprentice in PoT, and he retired to the elders den in early Oots! Like what?! Willowshine was an apprentice alongside him, and she was STILL AN APPRENTICE when he RETIRED!! I headcanon that Willowshine, Dapplenose, Rainstorm, and Pouncetail are littermates, kits of Dawnflower and Reedwhisker.

But, like a couple moons after being a warrior? Actually, I have a new headcanon: He was attacked by a pike and his leg was injured, but it healed wrong, so he just retired instead of having to be disabled or smth

So to keep the complaints rolling , I wanted to Share what is personally one of my Biggest Peeves with the Series as a Whole , which has become much more Evident with TBC arc . Which when I originally started Reading , with Lost Stars and The Silent Thaw thoughts were pretty positive and I ranked it pretty high on my list of favorite arcs in the Series , since I really liked the Darker , Sinister, tension filled atmosphere and direction they were heading with it . Of course with now being fully Caught up with the Series , and Realizing that the main plot point being about codebreakers being punished , only being a Ruse to keep us off Ashfurs Trail as long as possible , and coming to also realize that the Erins decided to expand the Bramblesquirrel/ashfur Love triangle Drama from 3 Books ( twilight/sunset and Long shadows ) to 9 Books , cause the writers are clearly running out of ideas . TBC as it stands is currently in an Intense Battle with OoTS for Worst Arc ever imo , only thing not ensuring it’s Spot is that I have never reread OoTS since it First released .
Now I’ve already spoken out against the inconsistencies with this Series and how I hate them . But I’ve decided to go ahead and link some material that does a Far better job of explaining my disdain then I ever could .
New Powers as the Plot Demands Trope
Some authors seem to get bored of the same old powers. They add new ones to the same characters whenever they feel that a new power would open up a new story, or a new danger needs a new response, or just to spice things up. Advertisement:
Sometimes a retcon, a power upgrade, or some bit of Phlebotinum is employed to explain the new power, but other times the character does some fantastic feat they've never done before; when their friends say, "I didn't know you could do that!", they come back with either "I've never needed to, till now," or "Neither did I!" This kind of plot point is no big deal early in a story — a character who has only recently been empowered is fully justified in not knowing what they can do. Likewise, "neither did I until now" in an experienced character can be reasonable, if it's happening in some circumstance or special condition that the character has never encountered before. This trope generally applies when it's a steady parade of new powers that just keeps marching on. If the plot was crafted to fit the powers (as opposed to the powers changing to meet the needs of the plot) you have a Plot Tailored to the Party or a job for Aquaman. When the new ability is something overly narrow or silly, this often leads to Flight, Strength, Heart, as was common in The Silver Age of Comic Books. Suddenly Always Knew That is the same type of retcon as this, but instead of "Neither did I", the character will explain that You Didn't Ask. Advertisement:
Some characters get a pass on this due to a Swiss-Army Superpower, where a very flexible superpower is set from the start, or an Adaptive Ability, where their power is explicitly the power to acquire new powers. Science Heroes are supposed to be building custom devices to deal with bizarre circumstances. Wizards in high magic settings tend to have this as an inherent power too for similar reasons — go check the spellbook for the obscure ritual that will save the day in this specific situation, and it makes sense for them not to have used such a situational spell before they needed it. Creative use of a Morph Weapon or the like can also justify this. Tropes Are Tools, and many successful and loved works have characters whose power set just keeps surprisingly expanding. However, in stories meant to have at least some tension, this trope can slide into bad writing. The risk in showering down new powers constantly is that it becomes a go-to Deus ex Machina (or worse, an Ass Pull ). Having written themselves into a corner with a situation that's too overwhelming for our heroes to handle with the tools they've been given, the writer decides to have the hero conveniently learn the one ability needed to save the day. Do this too often, and it dulls the drama of any new situation that pops up later, as the audience won't respect the setting as having internal consistency or real limitations. This video explains it pretty well.
Which explains to a T what is happening in TBC , Ashfur has been Given Brand New Powers that have never been seen before for the sake of plot convenience, and so far from the first Five books there’s absolutely no explanation on how he got them .
And this Video explains in Detail my problems with the Warriors Universes Inconsistencies even Further, to get to what I’m referring too , skip video to 1:03:40
Anyway , I have very low expectations for ALiTM to Deliver a more satisfying ending then TLH did in OoTS , but hey I’ll stay optimistic for now and maybe , though very unlikely I’ll be pleasantly surprised for a change .

I don't like the most recent book. (5,000 posts!!!!! ) yeah I’ve read about 1/3 rd way through ALITM and can already tell it’s gonna have a very generic , cliche , uninspired , unimaginative, extremely cheesy seen in almost every child’s animated film ending to it . And tigerstar has only had 4 pages of Screentime so far and I already wanna tell him to STFU and plaster duct tape on his mouth .
