I love complaining, and I'm sure other people do too, however, I'm also aware that there are people tired of seeing all the complaints, so I made this thread so everyone can post their complaints, and if people don't want to read them, well, then they can avoid this thread.
My first complaint is that I wish they had given Tornear yellow eyes in the manga. I love the fact that we finally got official art of him, however, neither of his parents have blue eyes, and grey cats with blue eyes are SO overdone. I do like how he had the same tabby pattern as Mudclaw though, that was nice, I just wish he could have had yellow eyes. Ryestalk was grey with amber eyes Shrewclaw was brown with yellow eyes. Mudclaw was brown with amber eyes. Tornear being grey with yellow eyes would have been perfect.

Oh man, if you think those allegiances are bad, then you should see the ones for Leopardstar's Honor lol, they have Whitestorm listed as both a kit AND a warrior. Though, I do agree, like in Yellowfang's Secret, they had a dead Shrewclaw show up with his dad who is apparently now his mentor, at first, I thought it might have been Tornear before a name change, but then Barkfacepaw and MUDFURPAW showed up as medicine cat apprentices. MUDFUR.

And Hawkheartpaw I'm pretty sure he appeared as a warrior turned medicine cat in Yellowfang's Secret, however, in Goosefeather's Curse, he appeared as a medicine cat apprentice, which is super weird, because it came out after all the books that said Hawkheart was originally a warrior turned medicine cat, but in Goosefeather's Curse, they made it seem like he was a medicine cat from the start. He's also only slightly older than Goosefeather, but in Tallstar's Revenge, he was an old man when Goosefeather's littermate was an apprentice, it makes no sense to me at all.

I want Birchfall to be silver and Tawnypelt to be tawny. What is the point of giving them color names if they don't have the color?

This series has great world building, and so many things and characters to explore, but yet they tend to focus on the same cats who've already had their stories told pretty much inside and out.

I hate the books with multiple povs. They always at some point have a chapter end on a cliffhanger then switch to a character I don't care about. I hate this. It really makes me less motivated to finish the book. This is why the original series is my favorite.

WindClan is a loser clan, I'm sorry, but they have like no special traits anymore. In the first series, they were noted to be super fast, and to be the only clan that could catch rabbits, and in TPB, Sandstorm was noted to be like the only ThunderClan cat fast enough to catch rabbits. But then, Tigerclaw did his whole rabbit trap thing, and now even elders and RiverClan cats are catching rabbits. So, if they don't have this epic speed ability anymore, what do they have? What are they just going to snark their way out of a battle? I know I complain about the rabbit thing a lot, and I'm sorry, and I know the other clans have been catching rabbits here and there since forever, but lately, it seems like they've been doing it a lot more, and it has just taken away WindClan's one physical advantage they had over the other clans.

I have another complaint. Why can't they keep the sizes of cats straight? Like Tallstar, on the wiki, it says he's large, and in some of the books, it describes him as large too, but in some other books, he's described as small, so what is it? Tree too, they were surprised he was related to The Sisters, because he's small, now suddenly he's large? And WindClan as a whole, they are said to be the smallest cats in the forest, and their sizes are constantly being mentioned, but a lot of cats to come out of WindClan are described as large. None of this makes any sense to me.

I really wish the Clans kept their traits, by OotS it's like every Clan can fish. Running and rabbits were WindClan and swimming and fish were RiverClan's but it's not that unique now. Like, Cinderheart can swim

Rainsplash and ᏞᎪᎠᎽ Ꮎf fᎪᏁᎠᎾms ミ☆ If you guys are talking about Finleap being able to swim, it makes sense to me, because his grandmother Clovertail (who was a loner before joining SkyClan) could swim, and it's heavily implied that she's related to Heavystep or something. Maybe she taught him? Or she taught Sandynose and he taught him? Or something?

That would mean Violetshine and Twigbranch are part RiverClan too because Clovertail is their great-grandmother. I think. Clovertail is Tinycloud's mother, who is Pebbleshine's mother, who is Violet and Twig's mother, so yeah, that'd make Clovertail their great-grandmother.

So, I read TPONS and they once again caught a rabbit. I'm beginning to think that rabbits are the only things left to eat on this island, because I don't remember them catching anything else besides rabbits since like AVOS. I know they have shown scenes of cats bringing mice and stuff to the fresh-kill pile, but it seems like on a hunt that we see, they catch rabbits, and it's like WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM done in like 2.8 seconds. Like, they make it look sooo easy to catch a rabbit these days, and that's all they are ever shown catching.

Really agree with this. I want prey diversity in general!
I want the cats to really have wild cat diets. I want SkyClan cats to eat eggs and occasionally baby birds. WindClan can have moles and voles as well as buns. Maybe steal some chickens at the farm and other land based birds. ThunderClan can have their rodents (mice, squirrels, ratties), and RiverClan their fish. ShadowClan eating scaley things would be fun, I love the idea of them being scavengers too. In my head, ShadowClan interacts the most with kittypets and strays, and interpret the "warriors reject the soft life of a kittypet" rule as rejecting being a pet, not rejecting Twoleg scraps.
So disappointed we don't have hunting successes and more diverse prey/food. Where's my apprentices daring eachother to eat bugs?

Especially since more developed eggs will contain meat. I want to see a yolky boy!

I'm getting real sick of cats becoming leaders because of StarClan influence, shouldn't cats get the position on their own merits rather than getting a polished stepping stone from StarClan? It's like, there's no point in even striving to be leader, since StarClan already has them chosen from the very start. Also, in forbidden romances, it seems like StarClan has a lot to do with them too, like WHY!?! Didn't you guys make a code that you expect cats to follow? Yet, only the cats who break these codes seem to get leadership positions, what is everyone who actually follows the code supposed to think? At this point, I won't even blame any of the younger cats for breaking the code, because of what has been happening in the generations before them.

I'm tired of prophesized POV characters meant to do great things. Just let there be normal cats living their lives without a grand destiny. No one can do anything significant without there being a predestined sign from StarClan about it.
