Do you think she'd live a happier life there as a kittypet?

if briarlight decided to become one on her own and wasn't guilt tripped or pittied into becoming one, i think it'd suit her. she would be given the best health care by the twolegs (if she was picked up by good people of course). i think she'd live longer in a more realistic way.

I can't see her happy as one, she's a very important part to ThunderClan and enjoyed being a warrior, and all the things she did. Why Briarlight anyways, and not a cat like Dovewing or even Tigerstar 1.0? Dovewing has so much clan drama she would want a break from, and Tigerstar might have been better with a father figure of some sort.

She'd probably have a better life there since knowing us Twolegs, they would have spoiled her to the death. But I don't think she'd be happy being away from her friends, family, and life as a Clan cat. I guess it's best that she didn't become a kittypet for the sake of her happiness.

I think she would have had a great life and have been very much doted on. And she could have gotten one of those cat wheelchairs and gone ZOOOOMMMM

why briarlight specifically? This question literally gets asked in regards to several cats regularly

This question literally gets asked in regards to several cats regularly which ones? Dovewing, Ivypool now, mass threads theorizing on how cats would be if they were kittypets. There's nothing off with this thread.

don't think being a kittypet would be the ideal for briar, she had so many friends and family in thunderclan I couldn't see her wanting to leave.

She would get better care for her condition if she had caring twolegs, but she would also probably never get to see her clanmates and family again, so maybe not.

Dovewing, Ivypool now, mass threads theorizing on how cats would be if they were kittypets. There's nothing off with this thread. I think the main issue here is the repeated idea I see in this fandom that disabled characters are inherently burdens or lesser than their peers. As a disabled fan, it’s incredibly concerning to see that people think the two options for a disabled character are “function exactly in the way their abled peers function with no difficulty” or “be shoved out of warrior life entirely”. Accommodations are entirely possible in the warrior cats universe and it’s just really tiring to watch people pretend like they aren’t.

Understable, though tbh it seems you're just looking for a fight over a mundane question. You read as defensive. Sorry if I'm mistaken.

She would get better care for her condition if she had caring twolegs, but she would also probably never get to see her clanmates and family again, so maybe not. TNR programs could probably help with Briarlight. While most TNR programs wouldn't let a paraplegic cat back out, Warriors doesn't have to be totally realistic. Briarlight's main issue would spinal fluid and possible some bedding issues, one of which the cats have found a way around.

It also isn’t just this thread, it’s a pattern I’ve noticed on here I kind of just want people to take a minute and really think about what their posts are implying and the kinds of messages that sends to disabled fans.

If it’s a pattern that you’ve noticed on WCRP, then I would highly suggest that you report it to staff. It’s our kind of issue to deal with and take care of. Otherwise, I don’t believe there is a reason to change the topic of a thread unless absolutely necessary. Sometimes changing the topic of a thread can create problems such as toxicity and fights. I know that isn’t what you’re aiming for here, but this post could have been posted elsewhere on its own thread, pm’d to someone, or sent in a report.

That's actually a part of my AVoS rewrite. Briarlight becomes sick again, so Jayfeather brings her to a twoleg nest, since he knows she'll have a better chance of survival there. Millie told him that her owners took her to vet, so he believed her. Jayfeather tries to get her back to ThunderClan once she's fully recovered, but Briarlight tells him that she likes her new life and would like to stay in the twoleg place. I like to think her new owners built her a little kitty wheelchair.
