I was just thinking through this, and I wondered if I could make a timeline in a theoretical world where the cats aged like humans that would actually be consistent with the storyline - that is, cats are old when they are supposed to be old in the story, young when they are supposed to be young, no one lives an impossibly long lifespan and no one is having children at an age that would be impossibly young/old for a human (though at least human men can have children at any age). I had to change a few things to make things work with humans having way longer childhoods, for example, but nothing really plot significant except, of course, for Mistystar not being able to live that long and having to be killed off earlier. Also, with the leaders' nine lives, I will assume in this universe that they don't literally die nine times but just are blessed by StarClan in a way that makes them be able to survive seemingly deadly things sometimes and be likely to live a long time. And also of course they aren't entirely like humans since they still have litters of children. I'm also assuming that kits become apprentices at 13 years old, and when they become a warrior varies, usually 16-19 years old. So let's start.
Let's say Bluestar and Snowfur are born in year 0. Whitestorm is born in year 20, and Snowfur dies in year 2
3 at 23 years old or well not necessarily because it depends on what time of the year you were born, but let's assume for simplicities sake that everyone iii the age the current year - year they were born). So Whitestorm is 3 years old when Bluestar has to tell him about his mother's death. I put Tigerstar's birth in year 19, making him a year older than Whitestorm. If you were going with the literal series timeline, Whitestorm is a full-grown warrior by the time Bluestar has her kits, but Bluestar is still described as young with it being a point that she describes herself as young and foolish at the time. That doesn't work with the human lifespan timeline, so let's say Bluestar is 28 at the time - still young, but old enough that, given how societies until modern times have often expected people to have children early, it would be a point that cats are surprised she hasn't had kits yet as it is in the book.
I then have Into the Wild start in year 64. With Firestar and Graystripe being new apprentices at the beginning of the book, they would be 13 years old, born in the year 51. Sandstorm, Dustpelt and Ravenpaw are the older apprentices, let's say they are all born in year 49. By the end of this book, Firestar and Graystripe are already warriors and made warriors early, while the older apprentices aren't (reinforcing that they have to have gotten made warriors as early as possible for the older apprentices to not seem to have waited an absurdly long time as apprentices). So let's say the whole book lasts 3 years, ending in the year 67 with Graystripe and Firestar becoming warriors at 16 years old. I also have Yellowfang born in year 3, and meeting Firestar in year 66 when she is 63 years old (she is described as old, though she isn't so old that she can't fight).
Concerning the age of some of the warriors born before Into the Wild: In canon, even though Bluestar is implied in the first series to have been leader for a long time, all of the births of characters are pushed to before she became deputy to the point where It seems there is a missing generation between Mousefur/Mistystar etc. and Firestar/Graystripe etc. I can absolutely move the birth of Redtail, Spottedleaf and Willowpelt ahead to year 37 to make up for this, though, since their birth being where it is is just a non-plot relevant footnote and Spottedleaf is supposed to be young as of Into the Wild, with it being a point that she died tragically young. Redtail dies in year 64 at the age of 27, Spottedleaf dies in year 67 at the age of 30. Frostfur and Brindleface's births do not get moved ahead, though, since Frostfur needs to be old enough to be one of the elders left behind in TNP. I also moved Mousefur and Runningwind's births to year 40 rather than being older than Mistystar and Stonefur, both to keep Mousefur a young warrior at the beginning of TPB as she's described, and to avoid her being improbably old at the time of her death. As for Darkstripe and Longtail, who were actually born in this "missing generation" in canon: I have Darkstripe be born in year 33, old enough to be considered a senior warrior by ITW and to be Longtail's mentor, and Longtail born in the year 46, making him having just become a warrior by ITW, which is how he's described in the book.
Every original series book after Into the Wild then takes place over the course of 2 years. In Fire and Ice, Cinderpelt and Brackenfur are stated to have been made apprentices a little early; I made them born in year 55, making them 12 years old upon apprenticeship at the beginning of the book. Swiftpaw, who is apprenticed around the same time at a normal age, was born in year 54. This 2 year per book timespan poses a problem; Cloudtail, who is a newborn kit in Fire and Ice, can't possibly grow fast enough to become an apprentice and then somehow end up a warrior before Swiftpaw et al. I instead had him be born in 58 and already be 10 years old when Firestar takes him in, this actually works better than canon with explaining why he was so attached to the kittypet life.
With the 2 year-per-book timespan, Bluestar is 64 at the beginning of TPB, 71 when she is betrayed by Tigerclaw, and 75 at the time of her death. This fits with her being described as old and, like I said, implied to have a long leadership, as well as how Vicky has said her breakdown was intended to have some components of dementia given her old age. Crookedstar and Oakheart are older than Bluestar, I made them a year older and born in -1. Oakheart, of course, dies in year 64 at the age of 65, Crookedstar dies early in a Dangerous Path in year 73 at the age of 74. Willowbreeze and Graypool are younger than Crookedstar, but Graypool is also an elder by TPB and even going senile by a Dangerous Path, let's say they are born in year 3 and Graypool dies in 74 at 71 years old. Willowbreeze dies soon after giving birth to Silverstream and has to be young enough to be able to have children, and Silverstream is clearly still supposed to be a young warrior naively in love when she's introduced; I put Willowbreeze's death and Silverstream's birth in the year 45.
So onto Forest of Secrets, where Silverstream herself dies in the last year of it, year 71, at 26 years old. Now here I have to bend the timeline a bit; the ShadowClan plague, Runningwind's death and Tigerstar's ascension to leadership all have to occur right after Forest of Secrets ends, because it's a plot point that Nightstar got sick too quickly after finding out about Brokenstar's death to be able to get to the moonstone. Even with the changed nine lives mechanics I described, it's still a plot point that he only has one and doesn't have that protection. Nightstar's described as old, though he's later shown to have retired early so I can get away with not making him as old as the other elders, not to mention his littermate Clawface still being alive and a warrior; I put their birth at year 7, with Clawface dying in year 70 at the age of 63 and Nightstar dying in year 71 at the age of 64. Runningwind dies in year 71 too, at the age of 31. The fire where Yellowfang dies still occurs two years after the end of the last book, in year 73 - Yellowfang dies at 70 years old.
By the end of A Dangerous Path (year 75), it's noted that the oldest apprentices are way too old to not have been made warriors already - Swiftpaw is 21 years old while Brightheart and Thornclaw are 20, while 17-year old Cloudtail gets to be a warrior. I made Ashfur and Ferncloud actually younger than Cloudtail here, born in year 61, since even though they are technically older the books treat them as though they are younger, lumping Cloudtail and not them in with the "older apprentices" in ADP and then having Firestar see them as too young to be made warriors at the end of TDH. By the way, this solves an inconsistency that exists in the books; Frostfur's kits are kidnapped at 3 moons old and then are suddenly 5 moons and almost apprentices. Here, Ashfur and Ferncloud can be the ones kidnapped to become early warriors instead. I change the timeline a bit with Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt, who are no longer old enough to become apprentices in ADP, to avoid them ending up ridiculously older than the rest of the TNP cast (the Squirrel/Bramble age difference is bad enough as is). So they are now born in 67, are 8 years old when they would have become apprentices in the books, and Tawnykit (paw) is 10 years old when she runs away to join ShadowClan - which is already younger than intended by the narrative, I couldn't move their age any further down. Speaking of the TNP cast, Feathertail and Stormfur are also a lot younger than they are in the books when the events of the Darkest Hour go down. They are only 5 years old when Stonefur is killed defending them in year 76 at the age of 48. The final battle with BloodClan occurs in year 77, marking the deaths of Tigerstar (58 years old), Whitestorm (57 years old) and Darkstripe (44 years old). Scourge himself was a kit when apprentice Tigerstar attacked him, let's say he was 7 years old and it was year 36, with Tigerstar as a 17-year old apprentice. That makes Scourge born in year 29, and dying in year 77 at the age of 48.
As an aside, I had to separate Goldenflower and Lionheart from being littermates. Lionheart is described as old and nearing retirement at the beginning of TPB, while Goldenflower has to be young enough by human standards to have children in Forest of Secrets, and young enough to plausibly not be left behind with other elders like Frostfur in Dawn. I put Lionheart's birth in year 5 (dies in year 66 at 61 years old) and Goldenflower's in year 22 (so she is 45 when she gives birth to Tawnypelt and Bramblestar), which is 3 years older than Frostfur, enough that it's plausible that she could have just been in better health and able to make the journey, and old enough for it to make sense for her to die "of old age" in the TNP/PoT timeskip. There's also Speckletail, who is their mother in canon and could plausibly be Goldenflower's now, but not Lionheart's. But this would make her too old to have Snowkit, who is Bramblestar's age. Making her young enough to be Snowkit's mother would make her not old enough to become an elder when she does. Her being portrayed as the youngest elder and most able to fight in the Darkest Hour would actually make her fit well into the generation gap between Bluestar's generation and Whitestorm's where I don't have any cats born, though that would make her fit as the mother of neither Snowkit nor Goldenflower.
So now we get to the New Prophecy. Squirrelflight and Leafpool are 8-moon old apprentices at the beginning, let's say that translates to 15 years old. To cut down on the length of the time skip (which I'm trying to do whenever possible to save the early generations from being improbably old by the time we get to the later arcs, as well as minimize the age gap between them and the older TNP cats), let's say they were born pretty immediately after the end of the first series in year 77 - probably Sandstorm was pregnant with them by the end of TDH, with TNP starting in year 92. This of course messes with the Firestar's Quest timeline, but it really isn't a problem to move Firestar and Sandstorm's quest to later on when their kids are older because that means Leafstar won't be too ridiculously old by TBC (not sure the exact year I'd put them, but let's say Firestar's Quest takes place in year 84-85 range and Leafstar, Sharpclaw and Echosong are all young, around 20 years old, at the time. That would make them not that far from Bramblestar and Tawnypelt's age). Crowfeather is noted to almost be a warrior by the time of the journey, let's put his birth year as 75, making him 17 when he heads off on the journey. That gives us 15 year old Squirrelpaw, 17 year old Crowpaw, 21 year old Feathertail and Stormfur, and 25 year old Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt on the journey. Now, the expanded timeline gives me a chance to make the journey much longer than it was in canon, which would be cool for the story to allw the cats to really bond with each other rather than just what feels like a quick excursion to the ocean... so let's say the journey takes close to a year there and back, maybe not exactly a year but enough that it ends in year 94, where Feathertail dies at the age of 23.
For the other ThunderClan apprentices in TNP, they are canonically older than Squirrelfight and Leafpool but I've pushed Leaf and Squirrel's ages pretty far up and it would be weird for all of the cats to be born in the same year with a giant generation gap until Birchfall, so I had Whitewing born in 85 (which replaces her being an apprentice for unreasonably long with her not even being an apprentice until a little after the end of TNP!) and Spiderleg and Shrewpaw born in 80 (which also conveniently makes Ferncloud not so young when they were born that she would have had to have gotten pregnant as an apprentice). Birchfall and his siblings are supposed to be born just with the New Prophecy starts and are still nursing kits when everything is destroyed, so I put their birth at 92, with both Larchkit and Hollykit dying in 94 at just 2 years old. Shrewpaw also dies in 94, at 14 years old. Sorreltail, Sootfur and Rainwhisker are older than Squirrelflight and Leafpool, of course, with Sorreltail having to be around as a kit to get almost killed by Darkstripe; I made them born where they are in canon in the middle of Rising Storm, year 74.
The rest of TNP happens far quicker on the timeline than the original series. The cats get to the new territory in year 95, where Tallstar dies; he's quite a bit older than Bluestar and Crookedstar in canon but that would make him ridiculously old, so I had him born in year 5 and dying at the age of 90. Mudclaw also dies in 95; his age based on being Shrewclaw's kit is really old but Tallstar's also said to have been a leader when he was a kit, and it would be weird for him to be like 70 years old; I put him as born in 42 and dying at the age of 53. Onestar seems to be more or less a contemporary of Firestar and I have his birth year as 48. The badger attack happens in year 96, killing Cinderpelt (41 years old) and Sootfur (22 years old), while Cinderheart, Honeyfern and Poppyfrost are born at this time. This is of course also when Leafpool and Crowfeather run away together, and naturally Lionblaze, Hollyleaf and Jayfeather are born soon after that in 97.
Concerning Hawkfrost and Mothwing: they seem to be around Crowfeather's age with having just been made full warriors at the beginning of TNP, and need to be a few years younger than Feathertail for her to take care of them as kits, even if Feathertail is no longer a full warrior by the time Sasha arrives here. I put their birth year as 76 to get them as young as possible while stilll being warriors in TNP; the events of Sunset seem to fit with going over a short period of time, so Hawkfrost dies in 96 at the age of 20.
Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze become apprentices at the beginning of PoT, making them 13 and the year 110. Since they (well, besides Jayfeather) only become warriors by the end of the fourth book, I have each of the first four books take place over a year. Sunrise needs to take place over a short period of time, with Hollyleaf's breakdown being pretty immediate, it can just be set over the month between two gatherings as in canon, let's say Long Shadows and Sunrise together take place over less than a year. Ashfur is murdered in year 114 at the age of 53. To minimize time skips, let's have the PoT/OOTS time skip just be 6 months as in canon, and the whole of OOTS take place over a short period of time, too (years 115-119). This doesn't work with Dovewing and Ivypool being born at the end of PoT, since they have to be apprentices by The Fourth Apprentice, so I had the two born earlier in 102. But this of course means you have to squeeze in a lot of litters (Foxleap and Icecloud, Rosepetal and Toadstep, Briarlight Bumblestripe and Blossomfall) in between 97 and 102, while there's a big gap with no ThunderClan kits between 102 and Cherryfall and Molewhisker's birth in 115. Let's just say there was a baby boom after moving to the new territory... Tigerheart, Dawnpelt and Flametail I put as born in 99, just barely old enough to be warriors by OOTS while still being clearly younger than Lionblaze, Jayfeather and Hollyleaf as shown in Long Shadows. It also means that Birchfall is way too young to be Dove and Ivy's father, but it's not plot important that he's the father anyway.
Deaths include Honeyfern in 114 (18 years old), Longtail in 116 (70 years old), Flametail in 117 (18 years old), and the deaths in the great battle of year 119: Hollyleaf (22 years old), Firestar (68 years old), Mousefur (79 years old), Ferncloud (58 years old), Sorreltail (45 years old).
Trying to get the events of AVOS happening as quickly as possible to stop everyone from getting too old, Squirrelflight and Bramblestar have to make up in BrS for Alderheart and Sparkpelt to be born, let's say those events happen pretty quickly and they are born in 120. Needletail was a bit older, so she is born in 119. AVOS starts in 133 with Alderpaw as a new 13-year-old apprentice, and after their journey Needlepaw and Alderpaw find Twigkit and Violetkit, who have to be young enough to not have much memory of their mother - let's say 3 years old at the oldest, and we want them as old as possible to keep everyone young. So they were born in 130. I haven't read Hawkwing's Journey so I don't have a good sense of what a good year would be for him to have been born and how much time that book should take up. Let me know in the replies if you have an idea for where Hawkwing should fit in! The first half of Thunder and Shadow can take place three years later, so Twig and Violet are 6 years old. Let's say the 4 moon timeskip to the second half of Thunder and Shadow translates to 4 years in the "human lifespan" timeline, so ShadowClan breaks apart in 140 (allowing more development for the breakdown than in canon), and the events of Shattered Sky take place from then to the year 141, with deaths including Dawnpelt (42 years old) and Needletail (22 years old). I put Darktail's birth as late as possible with Onestar still being in the old territory when he's born, at 92 along with Birchfall, so he dies in 141 at the age of 49. This all means that Violetpaw and Twigpaw are only 11 years old (and would really be Violetkit and Twigkit) when all the Darktail stuff goes on, rather than being apprentices. They need to grow up in the second half of AVOS, though, which I have last until 148 when they are 18 years old. Also maybe Onestar killing Darktail would have to be changed, I doubt a 93 year old would be in any shape to do that, but a lot of people wanted Darktail to be killed by someone else anyway, I know I definitely do.
Squirrelflight's Hope takes place in 149 (Leafpool dies at the age of 72) and TBC starts right after that. But what about the TBC protagonists? Aren't Bristlefrost and Shadowsight born mid-AVOS and Rootspring is born after AVOS ends? Well, I have to move their births a little earlier. So now Shadowsight would have to be born in ThunderClan and Dovewing takes him and his siblings with him to run away, and since Violetshine is way too young to be Rootspring's mother he and Needleclaw would have to be Tree's kits with someone else who he takes with him to SkyClan (though it's not plot-important for Violetshine to be the mother, only for Tree to be the father). I have Bristlefrost born in 132, Shadowsight in 134 and Rootspring in 135. The end of Veil of Shadows takes place in 151 and everything after that happens fast-paced enough that that is still the year. So at this point Squirrelflight would be 74 years old and Bramblestar is 84 (again, really should be too old to be winning battles and such). Meanwhile Graystripe is 100 years old, of course it's possible for someone to occasionally live that long but it seems improbable that 96-year old Thornclaw, Brightheart and Brackenfur and 93-year old Cloudtail are also alive, plus Barley who is older than 100. Maybe in this universe some of them are dead by now, only Graystripe is actually relevant to the plot.
So that's everything up until the present! It was pretty fun to fit together the timeline to make this work out.

Crookedstar and Oakheart are older than Bluestar, I made them a year older and born in -1.
