Over the years, I've seen it said many times that it would've been better for Power of Three and Omen of the Stars to just be condensed down into a single arc, generally because the two are already so closely connected and because it would cut down on the filler both arcs had.
Do you think it would've been better to have the two arcs condensed into one arc?

hollyleaf staying the third and completely the three prophecy in one arc would be the ideal. them not progressing the prophecy or dark forest within power of three lead to such a boring and waste of an arc. they got rid of hollyleaf, didnt focus onthe prophecy, i dont like how the prophecy was split into two whole arcs just to itself.

No. There's two distinct stories being told, and shoving all of it into one arc would have made a horrifically rushed story that doesn't have enough time for any of the stuff people love about both arcs (mainly the cast and character work, which would all but disappear if the arcs were combined).

No, I think they're better as separate arcs. I'd prefer some boring fillers over an extremely rushed and undeveloped arc with all that content shoved in it.

I would've liked the story being altered into something else and that being an arc.

If you cut out the Tiger x Dove and Lion x Cinder drama in OOTS it might have fit into one arc lol. In fact, cut out the whole Cinderheart role, make her someone called Sootwhisker or something after her uncles.

It felt like the writers were writing Power of Three on the fly with only a few major events planned (ahem.. Ashfur for one). They couldn't figure out what to do, so they just extended it in Omen of the Stars. I think Power of Three would have been a lot better with more planning. Rock, Midnight, and the ancients were loose ends that I feel the writers struggled to really connect and make it significant to the overall plot. Of course, they couldn't figure out a power for Hollyleaf, so they fixed that oops in Omen of the Stars by making sure Dovewing had her power planned from the start.

Power of Three works so well because it's a tragedy. The prophecy destroyed Hollyleaf's life, for all the power that Lionblaze and Jayfeather had they were useless, everyone was humiliated by the deranged ramblings of a single, powerless cat.
Fusing it with OOTS takes a chainsaw to much of what made PoT good because now the stakes are too high for any kind of tragic ending. It would be a huge mistake to fuse those two things together in the service of avoiding filler when mashing them together like this would lead to an arc grossly incongruous with its themes and ideas.

Nah, I like them separated. POT is excellent enough on its own and I feel like stuffing all the events from OOTS into there would ruin it.
