WELCOME There was something sharp in one of your paws but you didn't have time for that now. You had to keep going, even as your lungs screamed out for oxygen. Running was your only option. You didn't know what would happen if you stopped but something deep and instinctual within you whispered that death would follow soon after. The undergrowth was denser here, harder to navigate - especially in the dark. Even your superior feline eyesight couldn't seem to adjust to this amount of shadow or maybe you were just running on too much adrenaline.
A snap behind you sent a bolt of fear straight to your heart. Willing yourself to move faster, you ducked under a gooseberry bush, some stray spines catching onto your fur. Letting out a whimper full of both fear and pain, you try to extract yourself from the fruit-bearing plant, desperate to be away from the... creature chasing you. The rustle of underbrush in front of you turned your blood to ice in your veins. Frozen in terror, your wide eyes locked on a cat-like thing. It padded towards you leisurely, as though it had all the time in the world. Its fur was as dark ginger but it's eyes... they were pitch black. As it grew closer you realized what you thought had been tall ears were actually short horns atop the beast's head.
Unable to move, you let out a loud scream. The creature merely smirked at you. "Found you, little rabbit," it purred, revealing itself to be feminine of nature - at least to your ears. Her inky eyes bore into you, sending shivers racing down your spine. Desperation drove you to struggle violently against the bush, claws flashing in the light as you dug into the ground. The spines dug into your skin and the smell of blood wafted into the air.
"How delicious you smell," the monster cooed, stepping closer to you while scenting the air. Crying out, you finally were able to tug yourself free of the gooseberry bush your eyes searched wildly for some sort of escape route.
"Now, no-" but before the thing could continue whatever it was about to say there was a flash from out of the bushes, and a cat launched itself at the creature. The creature snarled and turned to meet it, wrestling the smaller feline to the ground.
"Hey, civilian, get moving. They'll take care of the demon," a voice from your left barked, startling you. With a gasp, your head whipped around to find another cat waiting impatiently in a small opening in the thick brush you hadn't noticed before. They gave a sharp jerk of their head, clearly commanding you to follow them. Did they say demon? Unwilling to stay near the large horned creature, you rushed after the irritated feline.
"So you do have a brain? I'll take you back to camp so our medicine cats can look at your wounds, otherwise, you'll attract even more trouble," the cat snorted, shaking their head before casting you a side glance. Your heart was still racing in your chest and your legs shook with every step but you forced yourself to continue on.
"Wha-what was th-that?" you demanded finally. The muscular feline leading the way paused, turning to cast you an analyzing glance before flashing a large, slightly terrifying grin.
"Just another day in paradise. Welcome to HallowedClan, kid."

ABOUT We are no ordinary clan. We are quite unusual actually and knows about topics most other cats dismiss as fantasy and myth. Not our clan, we know it's all real. Demons and monsters? They exist in our world and they are pure chaos and creatures of darkness. But that's why we train, that's why we hunt. We work and risk our necks so that the world is a safer place, at least in our little corner. We live by a code of honor that binds us together tighter than any demon could ever hope to unravel. Life for us isn't always rainbows and butterflies but we do what we have to in order to survive. Welcome to HallowedClan, keep your claws sharp but your wits sharper.
HallowedClan cats come from all walks of life, seeing as years ago they were two clans and some rogues, merging together to create one group. A great mixture of fur colors, lengths, and textures can be found here. It is rarer to see smaller built cats, as they don't often survive the rigorous training and hunting that take place. Most cats are muscular or agile with strong legs and long tails for good balance. Scars are extremely common in the clan and are worn as badges of honor and pride, even seen as a mark of beauty. It isn't rare to see a cat with a necklace, as warlocks wear amulets strapped with vines to show which animal spirit they are bound to.
Weapons -- Silver Claws - these are caps that cats wear on their claws. Coated in blessed water. They are made by exorcists with their ability to shape metal. -- Blessed Water - water blessed by StarClan. This is carried in capsules that can be worn around a cats neck or is used as a coating. Exorcists and Medicine Cats can both produce blessed water. -- Silver Fangs - these are more rare, as they are harder to apply and more permanent. Made by exorcists. -- Abilities - this varies depending on the cat. Genetic or blessed. -- Iron Claws - useful against enemies that aren't effected by silver. Made by exorcist.HISTORY Years ago, there lived two clans, one that made their home in the forest and the other made their home in what is now the Amber Desert. The two got along for many seasons in harmony, until the demons came. They wreaked havoc between the clans, pitting the TimberClan and SandClan against one another and later starting a vicious war. These battles were bloody and violent, leaving few unscathed. In the end, both clans suffered huge losses, so large that barely ten cats remained in either clan. Hickoryspark, deputy of TimberClan, and Redwind, the medicine cat of SandClan were the only two higher-ranking cats left and as they stared at what remained of their clans, the two realized the mistake the war had been. StarClan wasn't appeased by their simple realization and a mere apology couldn't soothe their wrath. A terrible earthquake shook both territories and the nearby twoleg town, which was quickly deserted. After the end of this disaster, the two clans were forced to work together to rebuild, settling in a makeshift home in the shrublands.
Their peace didn't last long, however, as a rogue group showed up, claiming to be mercenaries. They hunted creatures that the broken clan cats had only just begun to discover were real. An uprising or strigoi and demons sent them running from their home and luckily the mercs helped them find a safe place to make a more permanent camp, a large twoleg building made from stone. The rogues explained that the building was made on hallowed ground, which made it impossible for full-blooded demons and strigoi to enter. The clan cats begged the mercenaries to stay and a few did decide to stay, helping to train them in the way of monster hunting. StarClan approved of this new direction, as it was keeping the clan safe, so they awarded the clan with more gifts, like blessed water, special abilities, and amulets that gave them certain gifts.
One of the mercenaries, a huge tom named Flint, became the first new leader of HallowedClan. He was awarded the name Flintstar and given his nine lives. His reign was a prosperous one as the clan settled into their new home, scoping out new spots within the territory to call home. Redwind was given the ability to call the deceased back from the grave and speak with them directly and all medicine cats after her were also blessed with the gift. Hickoryspark was made General and helped improve relations between benevolent ghosts and the clan.
Soon enough hybrids began popping up with the clan, half-breeds between monsters and cats. They were treated differently depending on what they were mixed with but most fight for and believe in equal rights, especially since being a hybrid can aid in being a better mercenary. TRADITIONS Lone Trials -- When a Private looking to become a Mercenary graduates from their apprenticeship they must go on a hunt. This hunt is done alone with Mercenaries and Medicine Cats on standby. To complete this task and become a full-fledged Mercenary they must find and successfully kill the monster named by their Mentor. The difficulty of the monster will often decide the pecking order for the new Mercenary within the ranks.
Ivory Lapidary -- When gems and stones from the Ivory Ruins are brought back to camp they must be blessed by Starclan and turned into amulets. Lapidary is the process in which the cats form their amulets and bond with their animal patron. Once this is complete they will have the ability to access the animal's powers and abilities. Privates will often put their own spin into their amulets so each one is different.
Hallowed Funeral -- When a clan cat has died their remains must be buried within the confines of the Garden of Memories. Known as a Hallowed Funeral the cats remains are placed in a deep hole blessed by an Exorcist. It's said that cats improperly buried cannot be risen by Necromancers and will be unable to speak to the clan.
Herb Run -- While not an official tradition, the Herb Run is done at the Upwalkers Den. Privates will often dare each other to climb the barbed wire and ivy-covered fence and return with herbs to prove their courage. It's not encouraged and is often banned, but what kind of Private looking to prove their worth would turn down the chance?
Spectral Migration -- Every year a large group of wandering spectral cats will visit the camp. These cats cannot be spoken with and will often ignore the clan cats completely, even Necromancers are unable to commune with these dead. If they are respected, and with a bit of luck, it's said they will sometimes leave rare and unusual items found on their eternal journey. Occasionally you may catch a spirit looking at you. What this means for the cat has not been proven, but some think it's a sign of bad luck.
Ranking Tournament -- Cats who partake in this competition will be able to raise their rank among the Mercenaries and are often held in high regard by the rest of the clan. Privates have their own branch of the competition, and those who do well in the competitions often have an easier time becoming a full fledged Mercenary. Those who do not partake in the battles will more often than not bet on those who they thing will win, trading small items or the best pieces of prey. This happens every four moons.

TERRITORY & CAMP HallowedClan's camp is set up in an abandoned church, which has two floors and a small loft. The main floor is the main hub of camp and where everyone sleeps, aside from the mothers and their kits. Otherwise, the clan sleeps in clusters across the floor and pews, making nests wherever they choose to. This encourages closer bonds between the clan and families. The prey pile rests in the far corner, about two tail-lengths from the large stone alter, White Stone, that the leader uses for meetings and announcements. Dens in this clan act more as work spaces. The medicine den is also on this level, though only ill or injured cats actually sleep inside of it. On the second floor, the elders den, nursery, and leaders den are tucked safely away by a set of sturdy stone steps. The small loft space is where the exorcists have their den.
Leaders Den - Made up of a fallen beam, covered with a large velvet curtain, the den isn't very large but it doesn't have to be. This is a place where important decisions are made, almost like a war room of sorts. The curtain acts like a privacy screen and the thick velvet cancels out much sound so it really is one of the quietest places in the camp.
Medicine Den - The only den on the first floor so that injured or ill cats wouldn't have to be carried or dragged up a flight of stairs. Four pews were pushed together and form a secure little corner of the church, offering a semi-private place to rest. The stone walls have been worn and carved into shelving units for herbs. Nests are made up along the walls for patients.
Exorcist Den - This den is all the way at the top of the building and in the old treasury room. Lots of old silver lies up here, which is good for the clan. There are holes in the roof over the loft, which leaves deep puddles all over their floor, which they use to make Blessed Water. They have the most area space but a bunch of clutter lying about so one has to place their paws carefully.
Nursery - This is a room that at one point must have been some sort of closet or pantry. It's large enough to fit four queens and their kits comfortably, with a high window that lets in warm, colorful light. The entrance to the den is hidden behind one of the elder's bookcases and very narrow, the most protected area. It also has a secret panic room underneath one of the cornerstones. The floor is covered in pale carpet and pieces of the curtain.
Elders - This is the most open of areas. Just a grouping of twoleg bookcases. They use the bookshelves to store stone pictures drawn with dyes made from berries of the creatures the clan discovers, acting as a bestiary. They also keep an eye on trinkets and store extra silver on their shelves.
Hemlock Lake: A expansive lake created by surrounding boulders and covered by a heavy fog that never seems to clear. It feeds the three rivers snaking throughout the forest territory. The water is murky and dark, it's nearly impossible to see the bottom which makes it difficult for fishing. Frogs and some water-based herbs can be found around the banks, however. Cats who visit the lake at night when the fog is at its worst will swear they hear the water lapping against something huge cutting through the dark waves. No matter what is causing these noises, it would be wise to be careful when nearing the water's edge. Some call it Molly’s Lake in reference to the rumored monster living within.
Forbidden Shrine: The building that serves as our camp was not only a church but an orphanage as well and the children would often wander off into the woods to play. Their dolls and trinkets now hang from the trees and bushes, leaving a somber hush over the area. When cats were first populating the area, a group of kittens got lost in this section of the woods and one disappeared, never to be seen again. This is why cats who wander too close to this small area of the forest will hear the crying of a kit begging for you to come closer, begging for help. It's advised that you never wander close and never bend to the voice's will. The Forbidden Shrine is rumored to be home to some sort of arachnid based monster since the area is always covered in webbing. Undergrowth and trees don't grow here, so herbs can't be found bit it's a good source of cobwebs when necessary.
Upwalkers Den: A rundown twoleg place at the end of an old and overgrown trail coming from Ghastly Hollow. It was once home to a large family but it hasn't seen human contact in many years. The windows are boarded up and there are only two easily accessible entrances into the building. One is through a hole in the back of the chimney which leads directly into the hearth. The upstairs flooring is unstable and rotting but the bottom floor is full of mice, rats, and cobwebs. The upper level is home to a few bird nests since there are many holes in the upper windows. It is of course, pretty dangerous to go upstairs and most clan cats don't attempt it. The only other entrance available to felines would be the backdoor, which has a large split in it and leads to an old kitchen. Within the fence sits a garden housing hard to find herbs like catmint, parsley, chamomile, and lavender. Privates will often dare each other to climb the barbed wire and ivy-covered fence and return with herbs to prove their courage. Unfortunately not all return. There appears to be a creature of some sort inside the house that stalks in the shadows. It strikes very sporadically, you'll never know if it will decide to grab you, which is why most fully trained mercenaries go in groups into the den and only during the day.
The Garden of Memory: This is a very sacred place for the clan. It is an abandoned twoleg graveyard that they have taken over as their own. A few ghosts can be seen floating around freely up and down the stones, though one, in particular, is always in the Garden of Memory, as he guards it. His name is Jackdaw, and he seems to be just a hair short of insane but he takes his job of guard very seriously - even if it is self-imposed. The clan mainly looks upon him fondly, like a crazy old uncle. Cats who have earned a proper burial are buried here so that their spirits may ascend to StarClan and or be brought back through necromancy. Cats who have committed crimes or acts of betrayal are sent down Quick Dawn Stream, refused the opportunity to be welcomed into StarClan.
The Stone Circle: Beneath camp, only accessible outside by a set out hidden stairs around back of the abandoned church, is the training grounds. The roof is arched and there is a single square window which lets in most of the light. There are three levels of flooring, the highest one being used for training that has to do with abilities that an apprentice may possess. The second level is for hunting practice, littered with moss balls and stones used for pouncing. The third level is the lowest and the closest to the entrance. It's also the widest and instead of being made out of stone, it's made from dirt and there is a wide circle made with stones in the center. This is the battle ring, where a main demonstration could be given or two chosen apprentices will fight until one is forced to step outside the circle. Other battle practices are to be performed outside the ring. The Ranking Tournament takes place inside here, in the ring.
Ignis' Cave: At the far western border of territory, the master vampire makes his home. The cave entrance is deceptively small for such a large, deep cave but not many get to see the inside of it. Ignis is relatively friendly towards HallowedClan but he is a bit territorial of his home. It's polite to call for him at the entrance if he's needed, and some apprentices make a game of it during the day, trying to wake Ignis from his sleep.
Little Rush River: This is the longest river in the territory, running straight through and ending at Hemlock Lake. It runs near the camp and is the usual source of fresh drinking water for the clan. Good fishing in wider parts of the river is hard to come by and those areas are prone being slick with mud and sludge, so one has to be careful where they are placing their paws. Little Rush River is fairly easy going and freezes mostly solid during Leaf-bare, though it's thin enough to break near the camp. The crossing is generally easy as the water doesn't get very deep and there are few wide lengths of the river. Some sections of the water are so thin cats can jump from bank to bank.
Quick Dawn Stream: Fishing in this stream is a dangerous trial but some cats are able to pull it off. Mostly the clan uses this river for all the moss and water-based herbs that grow abundantly along the banks. The river was actually named for a young molly named Dawnflash who dove in to save a fallen private. She, unfortunately, didn't make it but her quick action saved a young life that day. Quick Dawn Stream is on the edge of their territory, along their far border which is advantageous to the clan because it is wide and extremely difficult to cross.
Rolling Boulder Creek: This little creek is covered with rocks, hence the name. It runs very shortly through their territory, in the more dense forest beside Hemlock Lake. A silver mine exists somewhere along the creek farther down and this is where some of our silver supply comes from. You'll find silver nuggets lying amongst the pebbles and rocks and the clan will send excavation patrols when they're in need of more. The rocks make for very easy crossing and frogs and toads, even some crayfish are common in this area.
Ghastly Hollow: This is a true ghost town, abandoned by humans for so many years that the buildings have begun to fall apart and crumble in certain areas. This is the clan's main monster-hunting ground, as there seems to be something about the old place that invites evil to spawn there. Actual ghosts can be seen pretty much everywhere throughout the hollow, a few of them more famous than others. There's Moxie, a large molly who basically runs Ghastly Hollow. Lief and his big brother Haze who like to play pranks on unsuspecting cats. Lucile, a grumpy elderly female who snarks at everyone. And then there's Spook, who as his name implies scares easily and rarely shows himself. Coyotes are a huge problem in this area since there are a few wild chickens living in the hollow. Twolegs have left many things behind and this is where the cats get some of their silver and even some small trinkets that they find pretty or unique. Privates are forbidden to go here without at least two mercenaries due to the danger levels.
Amber Desert: Beside the shrub-land that the Ghastly Hollow rests in is the wide Amber Desert. Hallowedclan territory doesn't span the whole desert, really only a small chunk of it. The sands are hot and red, but there is much life here. The Ivory Ruins, the Oasis, and Cactus Grove all reside in this section of the territory. This is also where phantoms can be seen, though no one truly knows what they are or even if they actually exist. It can be very easy to get turned around in the Amber Desert, so it's prudent to be careful and go with a trained group when traveling.
Ivory Ruins: Ruins found far within the Amber Desert, it's about two days trek from Ghastly Hollow and traveling herbs are always needed before taking the journey. Without a direct source of water, cats have taken to chewing on desert grass and taking the moisture from the few surrounding blades. The ruins are made of thick, pale stone and bones tend to lay scattered about - both of which earned this landmark its name. During nights with a full moon, you can see the shambling shapes of skeletal creatures doomed to wander there. Any animal that has died on the desert sands will eventually end up there, even clan cats can be forced to wander aimlessly if their body is not brought back. If provoked the skeletal animals will attack. Stones and gems gathered here are brought back to camp, blessed by StarClan, and then given to warlocks to use as amulets.
The Oasis: Not too far from Ghastly Hollow, a little under a day's walk, is the Oasis. As its name implies, it is a small watering hole in the Amber Desert, which the clan cats often use as a camping place on their travels to the Ivory Ruins. This is a great place to hunt for horned lizards, iguanas, desert mice, and the occasional jackrabbit. This surplus of prey also makes it an attraction to both natural predators, like coyotes and rattlesnakes, but also quite a few malicious creatures as well. The water may not be the clearest, nor really the coolest but it does well to clench thirst for traveling cats. If a cat is so inclined, a few smaller fish can be caught in the shallows.
Cactus Grove: As the name implies this is a grove of cacti in the Amber Desert. Not too far from Ivory Ruins, these cacti stand tall against the sky surrounded by a few bushes. This is another decent spot for desert hunting, especially birds and small mammals. One still needs to keep an eye out for scorpions, rattlesnakes and kingsnakes. Even the cacti themselves can pose a threat if one isn't careful of them. There are a great many legends of drinking cactus juice and how it gives you vividly prophetic dreams but rarely are there cats willing to take the risk.

CLAN RANKING SYSTEM Commander -- this is the leader of the clan. General -- this is the second in command. Medicine Cats -- there are four of them, the healers and necromancers(spiritual). Exorcists -- Mercenaries that specialize in exorcism. Mercenaries -- these are the warriors. Privates -- these are the trainees. Queens -- the mothers of the clan. Kits -- little ones who can't fend for themselves. Elders -- those who have retired, bestiary keepers.
Mercenary Rankings C-Rank -- These are the new mercenaries. They have a lot of work to do and a whole lot to prove to their superiors. They usually get stuck helping the privates with chores and are usually given weaker creatures to go after. Not allowed to be mentors.
B-Rank -- Mercenaries who have proved themselves or held the rank for a few moons belong here. They are allowed to mentor privates and are given much more respect than C-Rank cats. These mercenaries are allowed to go after more dangerous creatures.
A-Rank -- These mercenaries are greatly respected within the clan. They're often mentors and are never forced to do chores. They are allowed to consider Silver Fangs, which are a permanent weapon. Only A-Rank can be considered for deputy when the time comes.
S-Rank -- The rarest of rankings. It takes a great act of courage, power, or skill to end up among these ranks. These are the bad of the bad. Instead of being respected, they are often seen as dangerous and intimidating - which makes them outcasts within the clan. Even still, mercenaries and privates alike often aspire to gain this rank. They are extremely deadly and go after the toughest creatures.
Exorcits These are cats blessed by StarClan, who are given the gift of Light. This allows them to purify areas by sending waves of Light from their paws. They can preform exorcisms to get evil spirits or high demons out of the bodies they possess and then destroy the beings with their Light. Other than StarClan, they can purify Blessed Water, though their water isn't usually is strong. High demons and malevolent ghosts are their primary prey. They also have gifts that allow them to bend metal, which lets them make our silver claws and fangs, as well as the rare iron claws.

[ screen name ] NPCs MOXIE
she-cat - unknown age - npc - ghost This is a large pale brown tabby she-cat with a white splotch on her chest. She has thin fur and is a little on the round side, especially in her face and stomach. Her eyes are a bright amber. Moxie is the self-appointed head honcho around Ghastly Hollow and most of the ghosts naturally look up to her when troubles arise. She's definitely the most friendly and outgoing of the regular ghosts in the ghost town. Motherly and warm but if sassed she won't hesitate to get a bit snappy. Everyone's family to Mama Moxie.
LIEF tom - unknown age - npc - ghost Appearing like a kit, which is how old he must have been when he died, Lief is a small gray and white patched tom. He has wild fur and big green eyes. The little guy is sweet as pie and a bit shy around living cats, until his older brother steps in. He looks up to Haze more than anyone and is always willing to do what he says. Older brother is Haze.
HAZE tom - unknown age - npc - ghost This tom looks to be about apprentice aged, certainly older than his brother but not quite old enough to considered full grown. His fur is mainly gray with white paws. He has a pair of sharp yellow eyes. Haze is mischievous and loves to play pranks on living cats. Causing trouble and messing around are simply his favorite tasks. He's very protective over his little brother, Lief.
LUCILE she-cat - unknown age - npc - ghost A grouchy old calico she-cat who limps whenever she walks. Her tail is a short nub. Her eyes are a dark amber. Much like an irritable grandmother, Lucile will snark and snap at anyone and everything. She is never content, always finding something to complain about. She shows her affection through nagging others to death.
SPOOK male - unknown age - npc - ghost A pure black tom without an ounce of any other color on him. His eyes are an icy blue. He is a twitchy tom who is extremely anxious and jumps at just about anything - which earned him his nickname. No one knows his real name, aside from maybe Moxie. He can be seen at the corner of cat's visions before fading out or even staring from the darkness before getting frightened off.
JACKDAW tom - unknown - npc - ghost This is an older tom with a dark ashen gray pelt with lighter spots around his eyes, muzzle, and stomach. His eyes are slightly cross-eyed and one is yellow and the other is blue. Jackdaw is the self-proclaimed guardian of the Garden of Memory. He is a bit mad, but very harmless. The clan cats humor him and see him fondly. He's a goofy sort of tom who takes his job very seriously.
IGNIS tom - unknown age - npc - master vampire This tom, unlike many of his vampire kin is darker than night, with the exception of a single white patch on his chest. He is a lean tom with an air of elegance about him, from his narrow face to his long legs. His fur is medium length, not too long but silky soft and normally groomed well enough to keep the strands sleek and shiny. There is a long pale pink scar across his chest, though he won't speak about where it came from. His nose and paw pads are an ashen gray, providing little contrast between his dark pelt. Ignis' eyes are where the true color comes in, as they are a brilliant violet. The master vampire is truly an enigma to the clan, as mysterious and secretive as they come. He is debonair and charming, never seeming to be in too negative a mood. Though his true motives are unknown, Ignis is usually willing to lend a paw to help when the clan is hunting more powerful creatures or confronting beasts they've never faced before. Outwardly he appears slow to anger but in truth, no one in the clan really has ever tried to make him truly angry. His powers are mostly unknown, as he is careful about sharing them. Unknown history, but he's been with the clan since the beginning and legend says he's been around even longer.
STYX tom - unknown age - bisexual - npc - high demon A pitch black tom, with a single white patch over one side of his face. His horns are tall and twisted, wickedly sharp at the tips. His eyes are pitch black with a blood red ring around the pupil. Sleek, leathery wings explode from his shoulder blades. Styx is one of the lesser-known high demons, but also one of the most feared. No one really knows his name, they call him the Sleep Demon - after his tendency to manipulate dreams. Seriously sly and shockingly charismatic, Styx is not someone to turn your back on. You will regret it. Sons are Ichorpaw and Zephyrpaw.

Scarletmoon is mates with Poppystorm Amberdusk is mates with Wildpath Thistlescar is ex-mates with Opal Cactusbloom is mates with Owlshiver BEASTIARY Hybrids ; These are clan cats who have creature parents. These types of relationships are rare, so the offspring are also a rare commodity. There have been a few litters over the years. Depending on what they're mixed with, they can look different and have different abilities. Angel hybrids normally have golden eyes that they inherit from their monster parent. They also have a few golden feathers in their fur, though they are not full-blown wings. Ability wise they tend to be smooth-talkers, not quite to the degree of their Angel parent but similar. Demon hybrids are technically larger than the average cat, with a single horn on either side of their head and normally dark colored pelts. For abilities, they're rather stronger than your average cat and their claws are much longer. Vampire hybrids are rare because it's hard for vampires to produce since they have extremely low fertility. Their hybrid offspring has one red eye and longer fangs than average. Their abilities are fairly weak, limited to advanced speed and stealth. Ghost hybrids are even more rare, with the ability to fade through solid objects and walls, though it can be an unstable gift and it's not one that can be used continually.
Warlocks ; These cats make up a majority of the clan. They are fairly average, aside from the amulets they wear around their necks which indicate the animal spirit have been personally blessed by. This is chosen by StarClan when they first become apprentices. They then gain a certain attribute of that animal, ie. an a bat's echolocation, or an owl's vision. Warlocks call upon this magic and use it to aid them in every day life, though usually it wears them out after using the ability for a while.
Angels ; These monsters are very ironically named, for there is nothing pure or comforting about them. Though from first glance they appear like normal felines, their fur is always the palest white with eyes the color of pure gold. Their wings are mainly pale grays or soft blondes and made up of feathers. There is nothing evil about their appearance until one gets a closer look at their pupil-less eyes. Angels, as the clan has named these monsters - due to their ethereal beauty and wings - are actually in close relation to sirens. Instead of singing, however, they use their silver tongues to infect their prey with a sort of mind-numbing need to serve. They use their puppets until they lose their usefulness, then they destroy their souls permanently so that no necromancer could even hope to bring back even their ghost. These creatures are physically weak though, so if one can get past their allure, they are not much of a fight.
Lower Demons ; These are the main villains of HallowedClan. Hunters mainly train to fight lower demons, which are unable to possess creatures but take on their own forms. In this form, demons are distinctly cat-like, though much bigger. They have clear distinctions from regular felines however, like their eyes, which are a pitch black without whites. They also have a pair of horns atop their head, though how they're shaped depends on the demon. While in this form, the demon can use shadows to teleport short distances (about four fox-lengths) and have enhanced strength. They are very skilled in battle and can be tricky foes, though they can't really use much magic. They are weak to water blessed by StarClan and silver.
High Demons ; These are an extremely rare type of demon, which can't be exercised by merely one exorcist or even killed by two hunters. They are the demons responsible for possessions. Much like their lower counterparts, High Demons have a pair of horns and are larger than the average cat. Their claws are abnormally thick and long, protruding from their paws at all times. Instead of their eyes being pitch black, they gave glowing red rings right around where the outside of their pupil would be. They also have wings, thick and leathery. High Demons are much more dangerous than Lower Demons, as they are skilled both physically and magically. They can use shadows to teleport much farther (more like ten fox-lengths) and they have the ability to manipulate blood and make weapons/armor out of it. So the more blood they spill or the more they bleed the more varied the ability becomes. They are weak to water blessed by StarClan, silver, and the powers exorcists are given.
Strigoi ; These bloodsuckers don't sparkle in the sunlight. The legend goes that they are the evil spirits who can't make it StarClan because of some crime they committed in their life, so their spirit possesses the forms of different types of animals and seeks out the blood of the living to sustain itself. Cats who are not given proper burials are said to become strigoi and it is the clan's job to hunt them down. One can tell a strigoi by their stone gray, lifeless eyes and the faded, gray color of their fur/feathers/skin/scales. They are completely colorless creatures that make them blend in with the fog but stand out in heavily forested areas. They are unnaturally quick and have a mouth full of fangs(if possessing a bird their beaks become incredibly sharp) in order to easily extract blood from their prey. They are weak to sunlight and silver.
Vampires ; A more tamer version of strigoi. Vampires are always feline, they cannot possess other forms like their darker cousins. Their fur can be any color or pattern but they usually take on duller colors, like grays, whites, light shades of brown, and ginger. Their eyes are always red, there are never any exceptions unless they are a Master. They can drink blood from prey but this isn't filling and they need to feed at least once every two moons on another feline, but only with consent. If there is no consent, the vampire grows ill and vomits up the stolen blood. These creatures can walk in the sunlight, though young ones will often sleep in later naturally and be more sensitive to sunlight hitting their eyes. While not immortal, they do live longer than the average cat by quite a bit. If bonded to a Master vampire they answer to them even before their leader. Vampires are still very sensitive to silver.
Master Vampires ; Not much is truly known about the Master Vampire, as there is only one the clan knows about and he tends to keep to himself. What is known is that he's a pureblood vampire, born a bloodsucker, not a half breed like regular vampires. He has abnormally long fangs, though only on top and his eyes are a deep violet - which turns red when he feeds. He is faster and stronger than even his half-bred counterparts. He is the only type of vampire that can turn another cat into a vampire, which bonds them to his will and makes him their Sire. This is an incredibly rare occurrence and more of a legend amongst the clan. He is more sensitive to the sunlight and can only come out during the night. It is unknown whether silver would cause him harm, no one has tried. The clan allows him to live on the edge of their territory and he leaves them in peace and sometimes aids them when hunting down violent creatures.
Ghosts ; These are certainly the most common entities around HallowedClan. These are transparent cats that float lightly above the ground instead of walking. The reason for their deaths are sometimes clear or they can appear as a younger version of themselves, it all depends on the will of the creature. Ghosts are mainly benevolent and the clan sees them mostly as companions, chatting with them and sharing stories. Some ghosts will go as far as to warn them when danger is coming or to help them find lost cats or particular herbs. Malevolent ghosts are the ones to look out for, though luckily it's easy to tell the difference. All ghosts have a small pulsing, glowing orb where their heart used to be. It can clearly be seen through their translucent skin and is normally a bright red. It turns inky black when ghosts turn violent or threatening. These entities have to be exorcised by the exorcists. Water blessed by StarClan is a great weakness of theirs and iron.
Wendigo ; These are rare, truly monstrous creatures. In life, they were starved for so long that they were driven into madness, which caused them to turn on their own kind. These cats are grotesquely tall, with long limbs and an extremely skinny body, where their ribs are clearly visible beneath their thin pelts. Their ears are long and drooping, often falling over their solid white eyes. Their mouth is full of fangs and another row of teeth just behind them. They are slow-moving and completely blind, but their hearing is heightened to unique levels. Wendigos can also use their voices to mimic others so that they can lure their prey into their waiting jaws. They are weak to fire and iron.
Zombies ; The living dead are quite harmless, as they usually can only be raised by our very own necromancers. They are not rotting corpses either, instead, they appear as they did in life, though they carry the scent of death on them and their eyes are sickly yellow. It takes a strong, well-practiced necromancer to raise a zombie that can speak, most can only raise non-verbal types. Zombies cannot get too far from their necromancer, about seven fox-lengths before they sink back into the ground. Their bite is incredibly deadly, while it won’t turn you into a zombie, they do have a poison that infects. The sickness takes two days to set in and another three to kill a full-grown cat but can be combated with (insert herb here).
Molly ; Our Molly of the Lake, is quite the mystery among the clan. There is a great debate, especially amongst the youth about whether she actually exists or not. Legend tells of a giant serpent with delicate blue fins and giant, glimmering eyes and even bigger teeth. Around Molly’s Lake, it is normal to see a large shadow beneath the water and many believe that this is Molly herself. Some say seeing her is a true sign of good luck. PLOTS Main Plot Green Leaf has just arrived in HallowedClan, bringing the heat, a bit more prey, and much more monster activity with it. While the clan is out on hunting missions, zombies that are not controlled by clan necromancers begin showing up. They're violent and try to attack the clan cats. A few cats end up infected and as it happens multiple times, the infection begins to spread through the clan. The zombie venom is spreading like a disease and the medicine cats only have an herb that works to slow down the poison. They must find an antidote or risk losing many of their clan mates. To be honest though, the bigger mystery is finding out who's controlling the zombies that are attacking the clan since they can only be controlled by necromancers - a StarClan given gift. Is one of their clan mates betraying them? description.
Side Plots key: green - story plots, pink - romance plots, yellow - could be either. open

Omg it's so pretty! That's a lot of characters ahhhh I can take Rushingkit so we can each have one! And I'll grab up the short descriptions of the two cats I have made for sibs
Darkstep Female - 31 moons - asexual - mercenary(A rank) - Warlock(goat) Darkstep is a dark grey she-cat with lighter tabby point markings. She has a cream stomach and lighter speckles on her paws. A darker stripe of pure black lines her spine and behind her legs. She is built wide and strong, with long claws almost always tipped with silver caps. Her amulet is made of copper, worn shiny on the raised parts, of a small goat atop a large stone peak.
Ichorpaw Questioning he/they - 7 moons - questioning - private - Demon hybrid Ichorpaw is a black demon-hybrid with odd silver markings down his spine. It looks almost like scars, criss crossing his back and trailing off into spots like flecks of liquid metal. They have dark blue eyes, so dark they almost appear black, and two short but sharp horns horizontally from the sides of their head beneath his ears. He has a smaller stature than one would expect from a hybrid, but is still much larger than a normal apprentice their age.

[ I'm sorry, Brownie, it's been a rough few days medically speaking. As for where to begin with the plot... We could wait a day or two in game before jumping right into it if you want? To set a rhythm of normalcy before all the chaos? Unless you want to jump right off the deep end? xD
Hm, maybe we can pick 3-4 characters we want to explore and try things that way? Just so we aren't overwhelming ourselves right off the back and of course we can have the others milling about in the background as we need them. ^^ ]

[[ no problem and honestly same, though I'm on here to distract myself from having more panic lmao and I promise I'm not constant refreshing yall are posting right between me switching games and checking in
Two or three days sounds legit! We can push a little bit for the time since I know I at least like to slow down and micromanage and well, that's not the best for a long term plot/rp.
Three sounds good for a starting point! I would really like to explore a mentor/apprentice relationship + Wildpath + maybe we can build Grim and Dark's relationship for further on? I know ya had something going with Spark/Dusk and I want to get up to pace with that so we have some groundwork for their unorthodox backstory. I can start a starter for Wildpath that's more open-ended with who we can pull into her, and maybe you can start Grim and I can bounce off of that. Is there any apprentice or mentor you really want fleshed out? I don't have a particular yearning for anyone specifically in that department but we have plenty of apprentices if you have a favorite!~ ]]

[[ I'm glad being on here is a way you can relax! Writing has always had that affect on me as well. c:
We can always aim for three days and if we feel we need to start sooner or later, depending on where the plot takes us we can be flexible. c: That's the fun of 1x1 stuff, it's easier to work around things and figure out how smaller plot points fit in to the bigger picture ~
I would love to explore the relationship with Dark and Grim, especially since his bond with his sister is really important to his character. ^^ I can just throw whoever feels right at Wildpath. c: As for mentors and apprentices... we could do... Lioncloud and Stormpaw Foxthroat and Flamepaw Clearchime and Duskpaw Thistlescar and Jerichopaw
Blu is indecisive ;-; ]]

[[ I'll put Wildpath's up right after I make some mac n cheese. I need comfort food tonight.
And out of those, I'm most interested with Fox/Flame. I think I have Foxthroat's personality down and I want to know what Flamepaw's like so I can figure out how Geckopaw will fit into the siblings !
I'm actually going to send you the doc with the longer descriptions over pm. It's going to be my reference for baseline relationships and personalities if you want to have it on hand or take a peek ]]

[[ long but I wanted to add some fluff because I realized these two were mates!! Cutie old couple <3 ]]
Wildpath && Amberdusk || Graveyard
Wildpath was tired from last night's patrol, but she enjoyed the bright sunlight soaking into her fur, particularly because she was able to enjoy it with Amberdusk. The siamese tom purred as he leaned into her flank and Wildpath knew her long, untamable fur would be flattened on one side from where he pressed against her. She pushed her nose into the thick fur of his neck, relishing the warmth of him, the sun, the smell of grass after the dew had passed. The graveyard behind camp was the perfect place to escape, at least for a little while. It was still firmly within the hallowed grounds and protected from any threat of greater demons, however unlikely, but was far enough from prying eyes that they could have a moment of privacy.
Of course, all good things couldn’t last forever. Amberdusk nudged her and Wildpath playfully resisted for a few moments, pushing her paws down onto his flank to pin him to the stone wall they rested atop. “The hunting patrol will be waiting for me, my flower,” he said with a laugh. She licked over his ear before letting him up, pulling herself into a sitting position atop the wall. He brushed against her as he jumped down to the grassy courtyard below. “I’ll be back soon.”
“Happy hunting,” Wildpath called down after him. He quirked his tail over his back to acknowledge her words, slipping between the grave markers back towards camp where the patrol would be meeting.
Wildpath watched from her perch on the wall until he turned the corner around the church and out of sight. She took one last moment to look outside the graveyard to the forest beyond, allowing herself a glorious stretch against the warm stones, then she too hopped down from the short stone wall and put herself on the path back to the church. Being the senior exorcist, Wildpath was rarely told what she had to do. She probably could have followed Amberdusk’s hunting patrol if she wished, though she hadn’t hunted since that winter when prey had grown so thin every cat was forced to do their part scouring the forest and the desert for food. They had even resorted to asking the mercurial vampire Ignis for help. Wildpath shuddered at that, though the summer sun was hot on her back as she hopped into camp through a broken window near the southeastern corner of the church.
She had taken stock of their supplies yesterday and knew they were running low on holy water, but Wildpath was waiting until the full moon to bless another batch. It was only another four days away and holy water was always most potent under a full moon. They had enough to cover until then, so long as they were conservative with their remaining stock.
So instead she wandered camp, nodding with a smile as she caught Amberdusk’s patrol just leaving through the main doors. Apprentices were just beginning to wake from their night training, though most warriors were bustling about, more accustomed to the odd routine HallowedClan cats kept while they hunted demons in the night. It was a day of opportunity, Wildpath thought, shaking her fur back to its usual spiky, bramble-wild state, a good summer day of opportunity.

Grimwolf with Darkstep stone circle @ Brownie Silver claws glinted in the dim light that filtered in through the lone window, allowing shadows to dance across the floor and walls. Usually, during the dim hours of the morning and night, the Stone Circle would be lit up with glass jars of holy water or lightning bugs. The dark had never bothered Grimwolf though, in fact, he thrived on it. His single amber eye tracked the movement of a small mouse that had taken shelter from a small drizzle last night. Not a single sound echoed off the stone walls as he waited patiently in the shadows for his prey to come within striking distance.
The mouse stopped to rub at its ear - and then it met Grimwolf's jaws. The tom dropped the small morsel at his feet, peering down at the fragile life lost. He could relate a little too well to the mouse, being prey to something bigger and stronger. Though his tale hadn't ended in death. A snort - he supposed he should be grateful for that. And yet somehow, he still thought that perhaps the mouse was the lucky one. With a stubborn shake of his head, the large dark gray and cream tabby padded off towards the far wall on the bottom floor, where some training dummies made from old sacks of grain the two-legs had left behind.
He'd been unable to sleep this morning, haunted by memories that were best forgotten. So the tom had left his sister curled up in their nests and padded down to the training grounds, figuring the repetitive act of practicing his battle moves would soothe his busy mind. Grimwolf faced off against the dummy he'd been attacking all morning. He tensed only a moment before leaping forward and lashing at the reinforced wooden spine with his silver claws. A satisfied growl rumbled in his chest as he scored deep, wood carvings fluttering onto the stone floor.
Grimwolf hopped down, turning quickly to jab and dodge his opponent's imaginary paws. He remained in constant movement, surprisingly light on his paws for a cat of his size. The tom was dipping, diving, and attacking with fierce precision. On and on he went, for close to an hour. During one of his breaks, he paused in the middle of sharpening his claws. His ears flickered backward and he shook his head slightly. "How long are you planning on sitting there, Darkstep? Wendigo got your tongue?" he grumbled, his voice echoing in the quiet.

- - - Going to try this old header, it's nice though perhaps not as clean as the one you have. I'm still kinda working out Darkstep, I don't know how isolationist she feels or projects yet, though I def want there to be tones of forced separation between her and the Clan. - - - Darkstep Stone Circle . with Grimwolf Darkstep had noticed her brother's restlessness that night, and when he left earlier than she had wanted to wake, she had let him, merely flicking her tail over her nose to preserve the warmth of Grimwolf's fur in his absence. Her dreams were elusive, scattered things that left the dark grey she-cat unsatisfied. She tossed over in the nest, pushing her eyes shut as if that could lull her back into a deeper sleep, but the pattern escaped her and all she could hear was the faint patter of rain and echoes of thunder that evaporated the moment light touched her eyes.
Growling, Darkstep slipped out of the den and into the morning sunlight. She stretched on the stone floor, limping slightly as her left paw, trapped underneath her in sleep, still tingled with static and needles. It couldn't have been long since Grimwolf left, she thought, looking across the camp for any sign of his grey tabby pelt, but she figured she should probably check in on him anyways. Leaving Grimwolf some space to cool off was one thing, but she didn't want him to fall too far into his own memories: she managed to keep her own away with a mixture of spite and willpower, but it was always easier to bear with Grimwolf around and she knew he felt the same. Darkstep caught Amberdusk's attention as the senior mercenary was crossing through the church and the Siamese tom stopped, eyes questioning. "Have you seen Grimwolf this morning?" She hoped he had the good sense to stay around camp rather than wander off on his own at the very least.
Amberdusk thought for a moment, then pointed towards the back of the church where he had come from. "I heard some cat in the stone circle just now, but I didn't see anyone head downstairs and I've been up since dawn."
Darkstep shook her head with a snort. "That sounds like him. Thanks." Amberdusk nodded and resumed his trek to the front of camp, where a few other cats seemed to be gathering for a patrol. Darkstep turned the other way and went down to the stone circle beneath the church, where her assumption proved correct. Grimwolf's claws were capped with sharp silver, slicing through the wood and cloth decoys arranged around the sides of the space as he wove and jabbed in mock battle. She sat on the steps, waiting and watching in silence as her brother fought. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the gloom; the stone circle was only illuminated by a single ray of light from the back window, the bright morning sun painted that sliver of floor in gold while the rest remained shadowed, hardly lit at all by the otherwise blinding rays. Once her eyes adjusted, however, she could see that Grimwolf had indeed been at this for a while: his fur was in disarray, his claw strikes were slow and precise, but not as fluid as he could be, and the bloodstain of mouse smelled fresh, but was brown-black and dried at the edges.
After a while, Grimwolf paused. The grey tabby tom raked the silvered claws against a large stone brought in for that very purpose, grinding away the dullness from the abuse he put them through against the wooden dummies. "How long are you planning on sitting there, Darkstep? Wendigo got your tongue?" he said, his voice echoing in the underground chamber.
Darkstep stood, descending the few shallow stairs to the main circle where she stood at the demarcation of light and dark. She kept her face in the shadows so she didn't blind herself, but let her lighter grey tabby paws shine silver in the warm morning rays, purring. "I didn't want to interrupt. You looked focused," she said. "And it's always easier to find something to sink your claws into." Which is why she preferred fighting demons to nightmares and foes to friends. Conflict made everything simple. - - -

Grimwolf with Darkstep stone circle @ Brownie Grimwolf turned his head at the sound of quiet paw-steps, his calculating green gaze - even partly blind - watched his sister's movements in the darkness. He fought off a small smile when Darkstep sat just outside the golden radius of light, shifting himself around to face her. "I didn't want to interrupt. You looked focused," she said. "And it's always easier to find something to sink your claws into." Her words seemed loud in the quiet of the stone chamber. Her voice soothed some of his agitated nerves, though his mind was still trying to trap him back in the past. Memories of her raw cries and the heat of her blood... The large gray tabby shook his head sharply, his neck popping. Darkstep was just fine, standing before him. He could hear the sound of her breath if he concentrated hard enough. His shoulders had stiffened briefly but now unwound, as he took a quiet, steadying breath.
"Hm. I guess. Woke up with a lot on my mind," Grimwolf spoke gruffly to his sister, his voice likely strained from lack of use. Other than growling and short retorts, the mercenary didn't enjoy speaking to anyone outside of Darkstep. Clan life was preferable to where the siblings had come from, even if the social aspect made the tom testy. He believed it was safer for himself and his sister here than out on their own, at least for now, so that would be good enough. "Sure you could tell," he snorted, lifting a paw and glancing at his claws. The two of them shared a pile of burlap sacks for a nest and she'd had to have noticed his restlessness throughout the night. Unfortunately, that happened more often than not lately.
Analyzing his sister closely, he slowly circled her, watching and waiting for an opening. "Woke up on the bloodthirsty side today, Tess?" he asked, his growl soft with a rare hint of playfulness. Grimwolf slipped through the shadows until he'd circled back to stand in front of his sister, his thick tail waving behind him lightly. The sunlight fell across his pelt, lightening his coat so that his smoky stripes and pink scars stood out starkly against the rest of his coat. A taunting smirk curled his muzzle, for in the seclusion of the early morning training grounds, the side of Grimwolf reserved for Darkstep only surfaced. Deliberately, the tom lowered himself into half a pounce, ignoring the discomfort of his scar tissue stretching uncomfortably. The challenge hung heavy in the air. ![](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/30/24/c0/3024c022bfb74396ac934c59611a1900.jpg)
Onyxpaw with Amberdusk in camp @ Brownie "Fallen, leave the girl alone," the laughing voice of Shadowflare washed over her as the thin feline tried to duck away from the mighty flapping of the crow, who was nearly taller than the apprentice. Onyxpaw's small white face peered up at the mercenary, relief shining in her light green eyes at the sight of her uncle. She didn't normally mind the crow's company but the large bird had been attempting to land on her back, clearly overestimating the molly's strength to support both his weight and her own. "Are you alright, Onyxpaw?" the confident tom approached, padding up the steps to the second level of the church.
"I promise Fallen didn't mean you any harm," Shadowflare soothed, casting his niece on of his famous charming smiles, allowing the oily dark bird to land on his shoulder-blades. The frail apprentice merely dipped her head in acceptance - she'd already known that the crow wasn't attacking her. Clearchime and Scorchmask had sent her to get some of the reserved silver from the Elder's den and just as she'd been exiting with her cherished bundle, Fallen had swooped over to give her some attention. The shimmer of the metal had probably caught the bird's eye. "He likes it up here, closer to the sky," the tom continued and Onyxpaw realized that her uncle had been speaking and she'd missed most of what he'd said. She resisted the urge to fidget, unsure what she was expected to say. Shadowflare's gaze flashed with a hint of disappointment and the molly flattened her ears a bit.
The teasing warnings from Sorrelpaw that she was going to end up a hermit or scared of her own shadow like Pumpkinpatch echoed in her ears. Her sister might have been trying to joke or criticize but part of Onyxpaw wondered if she wasn't half right. She wasn't mute, she knew how to talk and didn't mind conversing with others when she felt comfortable enough. Getting to that comfortable place could be tricky however. "It's alright," she murmured, forcing herself to make eye contact and quietly praising herself. Her uncle appeared to appreciate her efforts, aware of her quiet nature. Thank Starclan he didn't appear to be angry with her for not exceling at making conversation.
"Onyxpaw? There you are," the sudden voice made the little molly jump, her thin frame whipping around to face Scorchmask who stood at the bottom step that lead to their den. She hadn't even heard her mentor approach! The thinly veiled annoyance in the oriental tom's face had her backing up a paw-step and nearly tripping over the silver she'd dropped. The silver! "Sorry, Scorchmask, sir. I have the silver here," she spoke more confidently to the other tom, more used to interacting with him. Onyxpaw spun around to grab the metal, her thin tail thudding against the stone wall.
"Forget about that now, I'll take it upstairs. I need you to go down and get Wildpath," his voice was agitated and he cast the apprentice a sharp look. Shadowflare growled a bit but understood he couldn't undermine the mentor, padded off back down the stairs. Onyxpaw dipped her head quickly, "Yes, sir." Then the skinny feline was off, rushing down the steps. When she reached the bottom floor of the camp, she sent a longing look towards where her brother and sister were probably still asleep or just waking up. She missed spending mornings with them but exorcists usually woke before the rest of the clan to get a head start on the day. Padding through the main room, she dodged around pews, until she caught the faint scent of her mentor. Following her nose, Onyxpaw trailed over to the medicine den. She ducked her head beneath one of the pews and easily spotted the wild calico coat of the senior exorcist.
"Scorchmask said he saw you come down here and we need you upstairs," she called quietly but firmly enough to be heard over the quiet din of clan-life. Then the apprentice backed away and rushed back towards the exorcist den, unwilling to make her other mentors wait any longer on her than they had to. There was always something for her to do after all.
( Sorry I'm tired and going to head to bed, I'll get Flamepaw's starter up tomorrow! )
