I'm not justifying her actions, but I definitely understand why she acted the way she did. She was under so much stress and simply snapped.

I'd say that she could have handled the situation better, but she really was put in a difficult situation. I can understand why she might've not been able to be on her best behavior. Plus graystripe was not shown to help much either, meaning that a lot of the stress was on her. I feel like graystripe should have done more to help his mate take care of all their kits during the time. But that's just my take on the situation, others may disagree.

No. They were understandable, but not good. There's a difference.
It's perfectly understandable if Millie wants to spend more time with Briarlight and tends to favor her, because two things: One, Briarlight is injured so of course Millie will worry and coddle and help her more. Second, if Millie has been spending more time with Briarlight, it's only natural they'll develop more of a close bond.
But it was wrong for Millie to brush aside Blossomfall and act like she was nothing compared to Briarlight. Sure, she's a full-grown, capable warrior who may not be as brightly determined or positively helpful, but she's still your kit, for StarClan's sake. Even Hazeltail noticed Blossomfall was feeling off and was concerned over it, but Millie swept it away like Blossomfall wasn't even her own daughter. Just because Blossomfall is more capable than Briarlight doesn't mean you can just neglect her. And then scolding her in public and comparing her to Briarlight...Millie wasn't even trying to reason with her daughter or ask how she was feeling.
Millie might have been a good mother to Briarlight, but she was a crappy one to Blossomfall.

Understandable? Sure. Excusable? Absolutely not.

Millie's actions are understandable in some way considering the situation but not really fair to all involved.

Definitely understandable. Not excusable like Skypaw13 said. I can't say Blossomfall was a saint in this situation though. If her brother didn't need mommy fretting over him after he became a warrior why did she.

If her brother didn't need mommy fretting over him after he became a warrior why did she. Some people (cats) just take a longer time to grow or are more dependent than others. Not everyone is the same. Blossomfall seems to be more insecure, as seen in Fading Echoes when she thought she'd fail her assignment because Ivypaw "showed off in front of her". (Blossompaw was quite a jerk to Ivypaw, I'm not going to deny that) Also, Bumblestripe seemed more focused on Dovewing. It's also kind of hard to judge this whole Millie/Briar/Blossom situation when we've had hardly any scenes AT ALL with them. Maybe Blossomfall was closer to Millie when she was younger and was more emotionally hurt and affected by Millie's lack of attention than Bumblestripe? Maybe Bumbestripe has always been focused on being a loyal warrior (seen in TBC) rather than being close to his family?

no. absolutely not. while it is okay to give your injured child a healthy amount of attention, giving them ALL of the attention is not necessary. blossomfall, while she did do some really bad crap, is valid halfly. millie should have spent time with her as well as briarlight, maybe even doing something fun between the two of the siblings.
she coddled briarpaw/light too much, and i understand how blossom feels (though i've never had a sibling) because she felt comfortable with those she barely met.
i really dont like millie, and this is why.

Blossomfall is an a$$hole but it doesn't excuse Millie snapping at her. Comparing Blossomfall to Briarlight was too much and it only breeds anger, jealousy, and hate.

It is completely understandable, and it all comes down to desperation. Millie had seen Briarlight die almost 3 times, so it makes sense why would she start being with her so much. It also adds to her stress when her daughter starts to starve herself thinking she's useless.
And when her completely able-bodied daughter seems to not care for the fact that she's healthy and puts herself in danger, Millie snapped. She didin't want another injured daughter.

i agree with 🔥Firestar🔥i've always sided with millie for the blossomfall sitution. blossomfall was a huge selfish brat, she even admits to her actions and thoughts being as such.

I don't think she's right per say, but I can fully understand it for reasons mentioned above, and as for her yelling at Blossomfall, that is understandable too, not everyone is going to react to the same way to fear, some people, well, cats in this case, well react the way Millie did, and some will react the way Whitewing did, it's not fair to condemn Millie for what is a perfectly normal and mostly involuntary reaction.

I mean, I think they're both in the wrong for how they reacted. That said, I wish people would stop acting like growing up means you suddenly don't need/want your parents.
