Hello, just wanted to post this and see if anyone would be interested in a rp idea I had. I was thinking cats living either in the city or in the forest near the edge of a city. The group/gang/clan ect live a hard life and live by strict rules. One of the plots could be the leader being killed either by a rival or illness and the next leader ends up being power-hungry and selfish. Or something happens to the current leader and they start getting paranoid and slashing out at everyone.
Idea: one cat or a group is tired of how the leader and his followers push everyone around and decide to create a resistance to fight back. Could also include the resistance trying to figure out who the next leader should be. Could incorporate how the children inherit the leader rank and maybe the current leader has lots of kits? Could involve lots of spying, betrayal, plot twists ect.
Another idea could be the rogues need to find a new home and a group goes out to search for a new home. Clan cats could or could not be involved.
Just spitballing ideas mainly.

Sounds very interesting!! I think inheriting the leader role with a lot of children would give some great drama, especially if the first born isn’t really up for it and the siblings feel like they deserve the title more.
I’d be up to join and help work out plots and drama if you want ^^

Great and would be even better if the leader really pushed to have his oldest take over.
No idea on a name but I do have a idea on the setting. I'm thinking it's a city maybe somewhere up north where the winters are really cold and snowy. Thier camp could be a abandoned motel/hotel or like an old warehouse.
Ranks include:
Leader: (Could be changed to something like Alpha, King, Boss ect)
Heir:
Second in Command/ Deputy:
Heir? (Maybe not as strict?)
Personal guard
Hunter and Fighters
Trainees or Students
Mothers and Kits
Old Ones
Outsiders
The leaders kits could either have a regular rank or have some other rank that sets them apart.

The setting sounds interesting! I like them living in some abandoned human place like the warehouse, it would surely make for a great camp they’d have to defend from outsiders. Especially when the weather gets really cold!
I think the kits and the mate should have a different rank to set them apart, like royalty or something. They’d demand respect from their lower rank members, which could cause some friction. The more drama the better, right 😃 I think you forgot healers or something like a medicine cat!
Did you have an idea about the naming system for their group? Like just random names or tribe names or clanlike?

I would be down to having royal type names. Queen, Princes Princesses ect. Didn't give much thought to the names. Probably sticking with random

You mean something like this?
Like King & Queen
Crown prince/princess
Princes/princessess
Right paw (deputy?)
Hunters and knights (like fighters?)
Herbalists (med cats)
Mothers and kits
Old ones
The king and queen could have like a necklace instead of a crown, made from stuff they found in the warehouse or something like that.
And maybe there could be two herbalists and they can choose to train a new one when they feel it's nessecairy, like when the group is expanding or when a young cat seems to have a nack for it. So the bigger the group of cats, the more herbalists they'd have. But they'd have to ask permission to the king or queen to add a new one of course hehe.
I'm just throwing in some ideas but you don't have to use them! I think random names would be fine, instead of a naming system ^^

No I love it! Especially the Right Paw as a deputy. Oh idea young cats training to be a hunter or knight could be called Squires!

Ooooo yes! I totally forgot about the apprentices haha.
And maybe they could have like High Hunters and High Knights, which are very experienced cats who are recognized in their excellent skills by the king / queen.
Would the princes and princesses be training as squires too? (Under the most respected of mentors of course 😝). Maybe the Right paw always mentors the crown prince/princess or do you think the king/queen should mentor them?
Did you have more ideas about their territory?

Mmmm I imagine it depends on who is in charge but overall one High Knight and One High Hunter trains them plus additional training from the king and queen.
I have a few ideas One of them being a port city or a large city near a lake.

Yes, then they could catch fish or steal it from humans haha.

I guess the obvious thing is that common cats should bow for nobles, commoners never interrupt them either 🤔
Do they believe in higher beings like some sort of starclan? Or would they pray for good fortune to one of the first kings?

Maybe it's a little of both. Some believe in like one cat like creator whom they pray to and others believe in like previous kings/heroes to believe in.

Yeah that’d be good! Like they would remember and honor past kings and heroes. And tell tales about them. And then there would be a god-like entity to overshadow everything.
Do you have some more lore in mind? Or do you need anything more to make this kinda happen? 🤔

Honestly, just making it up as I go. I haven't had much time to sit down and brainstorm due to work. However, I do like the idea of tales of legendary knights fighting huge beasts and hunters catching big prizes. Maybe in the past there were other kingdoms but when the humans came, they either left, broke apart or were killed by their rivals.

Some history elders could share with the kits  And that their kingdom was strong and survived because of those heroic knights. Maybe some descendants of them would still live in the group. It would be funny to have kits who are expected to do big things because of their ancestors but they'd crumble under the pressure for example. It creates interesting dynamics. But I guess the same goes for the princes and princesses. |

Past rulers:
Duncan First ruler and possibly create the kingdom. Just, Kind and loyal
Damian, Second ruler son of Duncan. Expanded the kingdom. Good Intentions but liked to fight?
Dorian Third Ruler son of Damian- Sassy, troublemaker led the kingdom through the kingdom wars. Maybe called Bloody Dorian or Foolish Dorian
Diana- Fourth Ruler Daughter of Dorian First female ruler. Brought an end to the wars, allowed outsiders to join, overall peaceful and ruled for a long time. (Maybe wasn't first in line but convinced the oldest to step down so she could fix things.
Ares- Fifth Ruler Former High Knight who seized control of the throne. Cruel and vicious leader
Titan (Current ruler and son of Ares ) Lazy, gluttonous, maybe a little paranoid?
