Okay, so I've been pretty into this MBTI stuff lately, and I really like personality stuff, astrology, etc in general, and I've noticed that there are quite a bit of other people on here who enjoy discussing it too. Also, paranormal because why not? Anyone is welcome to post, as long as they're respectful and don't try to ruin the fun of it.

Everyone in my household took the personality test, and my sister actually really seems to be into MBTI now, she keeps raving about how her results and her husband's results fit them perfectly, it's awesome. Our other roommate seemed to agree strongly with his results as well. Their results were:
Sister - ISFP - seems accurate
Sister's Husband - ENTJ - I was certain he was a sensing type, but looking at it from the bigger picture sort of way, it makes sense, and my sister said it fit him perfectly, and she knows him way better than I do. It's a bit funny how all their letters are opposite.
Roommate - ESFP - he seems to think it fits him.
What's pretty cool, is that my sister is now using this as a way to try and communicate with her husband better, and he seems to be on board with it too, hopefully it all works out for the best.

My mom took the test and got INFP, which I think fits really well. I have no idea what my dad would be, but I do know we're pretty similar, at least we have a lot of the same weird quirks, so maybe his type would be the same as mine, or close to it.
As for paranormal things, I thought about conducting a séance, but let's be real, where I am currently living, the building isn't even that old, I highly doubt there are going to be any ghosts here. Though, I wonder what would happen if you did a séance in a church, not that I would, because that doesn't seem very respectful, but I wonder..

Do you watch any Frank James on Youtube? As an infj I have never related to a person more lol But he talks about all of the types. Yeah! He's awesome, Skypaw13 recommended him to me like a million years ago lol. I love his comedy skits, but his explanation videos kind of confused me, but that's a total me problem. From what I've noticed, I seem to learn easier from thinking type youtubers vs feeling types, and that might be because I'm pretty sure I'm a thinking type myself, though it could also have absolutely nothing to do with that, and I'm just an idiot lol. So, what's it like being the rarest personality type? Like, what goes on in your head?

Yeah I can totally see how the explanation videos would be confusing. I find some of them confusing as well, especially with the dominant functions and all of that stuff. But I'm finally getting a better understanding of my own type and feeling more confident that I'm definitely an infj. I'm not to the point where I feel like I can type other people, though, because there are so many variables.
It would make sense that you learn better from thinking types. Maybe they speak your language because you are one or maybe thinkers are just better at explaining their ideas in concrete terms, idk. I know infjs have a hard time explaining things sometimes because we think in abstract terms.
What's it like? Kinda wack, kinda nice. There are definitely cool aspects and shitty ones, as with all the types. Because we have strong intuition it's really easy to read other people and navigate the world based on our understanding of human behavior. I always did well in school because I felt like I could predict exactly what teachers/professors were looking for. But as Frank and other infjs have talked about, it's also a confusing type to be. Our own emotions tend to be our "blindspot" because we're so focused on what's happening around us. And other people often describe us as aloof or distant. So while we have a good understanding of the people around us, other people have a hard time understanding us. Which is obviously an isolating thing sometimes. But it's also something we do intentionally so its our own faults lol I've been trying to type my sister and her husband, but we don't seem to be agreeing on what he is. She thinks he's commanding, outgoing, etc, and he might seem that way to her, like a total alpha, but around other people, he honestly seems a bit beta lol. Though, she probably knows him better than I do since they're married. But he makes her make phone calls for him, I think a more extraverted person would do that themselves. She thinks he's an ENTJ but I think he's an ISTP or an F type, his decisions seem to be based on what feels right for him and there doesn't seem to be a logical process at all. Though, I can't read his mind. Whatever works for them I guess. Oh cool! I've met people who said they can read people before, even online, though only one person has been right so far. I'm sorry you feel isolated sometimes, I can relate, but probably for a different reason, I jump to conclusions and assume everyone hates me, so I distance myself from them.

Hmmm yeah I'm not sure about your brother in law. It's interesting that your sister has a different view of him than you do. My immediately family is pretty harmonious because we all have similar personality types (my dad is an infj too, my mom is an infp, and my brother is an intp). But I have cousins and other family members whose personalities are more divergent from my own.
I tend to be drawn to really assertive, extraverted types in real life. As pretty noncommittal person when it comes to my own identity, I enjoy being around people who are really sure of who they are.
And that's funny, yeah. Most people think they can read others well, and obviously there's a level of delusion for all of us. Because no one is legitimately a mindreader. I've definitely made incorrect assumptions about people before.
A youtuber explained "introverted intuition" as the only dominant function that is unconscious, which I thought was interesting. Basically those of us who have it aren't even aware that we're doing it. I only know that I do because other people have described me as being "enigmatic" or "mysterious" even though I feel like I know them really well. Which catches me off guard. But that's because my input from the outside world is so much greater than my output, if that makes sense. I'm better at perceiving feeling than I am at divulging or expressing feeling. That's really interesting! I feel like I'm terrible at reading people, but at the same time, it also seems like I feed off their emotions, if that makes any sense, like if they're angry, then I'll feel angry, if they're sad, I'll feel sad etc. My mom is also an INFP! I think, I'm like 95% sure. As for my dad, I don't know him well enough, but we have a lot of the same odd quirks, so he might be a similar type to me. You like the opposite type of me, I don't get on well with assertive types, I get super annoyed when someone tries to tell me what to do, or when they try to take the lead. Like this ESFP (I'm 100% sure he's an ESFP, he's like text book lol) anyway, this ESFP who wants to date me. He keeps trying to take charge, in this "relationship" and I hate it. He's a nice guy, but I only like him as a friend, I've never liked someone in that way less, but he doesn't seem to get a clue even though I've said it straight out 10 million times. Sorry for going on a bit of a tangent there. My ideal partner would be someone who only talked to me like once a month and they didn't get all super lovey dovey.

ℊℓоωI'm the opposite! I can feel what they feel, but I have a hard time feeling bad for them, because in most cases, it seems to be like they're getting worked up over nothing, though to them it might not be the case. Thanks for helping me understand the difference between sympathy and empathy btw XD. That's true! I think it would be a lot easier if he didn't live with us, I feel suffocated.
