Do you think her entire character is well written?

Like a solid 70%, I'd say.

She has issues, sure, but I think she's okay.

For the most part, yes. Although I still wish sometimes that Hollyleaf had been the actual third cat of the PoT prophecy, her canon storyline and downfall was well done, at least until she came back in the OotS arc. She just seemed rather broken and done there already so I'm not sure why the authors just didn't instead properly kill her off at the end of PoT during the cave in and then made her return as a spirit/ghost or even already a StarClan cat who helped the Clans with defeating the DF (and take down Ashfur while she's at it) thus giving her a more memorable redemption, in my opinion. That way, TBC might have not even happened or been a different plot than the one taking place currently.

Yes. Hollyleaf's downfall from grace was extraordinarily well written and I loved how it showed the far darker side to her we often don't see with main characters. It's what makes her a well written character imo.
