Do you think her clan forgave her too easily? I know Hollyleaf worked hard to prove herself and looked after her clan while she was away and sacrificed her life to save her Clanmate, but she still ended a life and knew very well what she was doing at the time. It was cold-blooded murder. Do you think Hollyleaf should have faced some consequences?

Maybe, but then again, the only reason the Clan forgave her was because they thought she killed Ashfur in self-defense. And even then, there was still a bit of negative gossip about it afterwards. I doubt she would've gotten off as easily as she did had they known the full truth.

Hollyleaf only got away so easily because ThunderClan did not know the full truth about Ashfur's murder. I wonder (and hope) if/that it will be brought up in TBC. She also never fully forgave herself for what she did/was traumatized by her own actions and the whole event. Although Squirrelflight's SE confirmed Hollyleaf and Ashfur allegedly are on good terms in StarClan/the afterlife I'm not so sure if this is true. Perhaps ALitM will bring the situation up again.

Not for Ashfur, but maybe for Leafpool and the deathberries, but even that is debatable, because she did that while being in a highly emotional state, and sometimes when you're in such a rage, you become blind to your actions. Not that it excuses anything, but it's not black and white.

I don't think so. Hollyleaf had been in a self-exile for so long, I think that it was a fine time to forgive her. Punishing Hollyleaf, even more, would have been unfair. As for the deathberries situation, it only affected Leafpool and Hollyleaf, and Leafpool seemed to have forgiven Hollyleaf for that (which was entirely Leafpool's choice.) So no, I don't think that Hollyleaf was forgiven too easily.

Well, the Clan didn't know about anything. Just that apparently she broke and sought shelter for her mind

I don't think she was forgiven too easily. Self-exile with guilt in her heart, returning to help her Clan (even when a lot distrusted her) with the tunnels, and then giving up her life for them. That was quite a lot she gave to ThunderClan.

She probably wasn't forgiven at all if her Clan knew the truth.
