i have a buddy of mine who is gonna help me set things up, so we'll need 5 peeps who are interested !!
a brief list of requirements of rp'ers we are looking for:
— in-depth writing in role play posts
— full interest, not someone who pokes in and disappears just to claim a spot
— a decent chunk of knowledge on the lore and story of genshin pls!!

uhhh plot is up for discussion !! my friend and I were in call last night throwing things together but we haven’t come up with a solid idea yet and figured a planning page would help ^^
As for characters, it would be ideal that we make it so the game characters don’t exist, it’s just the same world and locations, new characters, and we create our own story :] |

That makes sense! Will the Archons still exist or are we replacing them? Or will they just be mentioned but not involved?
And is the conflict with the Fatui still part of the story?
Also! Are you looking for seven writers so that each character has one of the elements?

all original characters are being replaced, so the archons such as zhongli, venti, baal etc, will be replaced with oc's — and ye, we're hoping to have 7 people building this rp together and role playing so that each person can create 1 archon :]
the fatui will still exist, as far as involvement, I'm down for any type of conflict from them ^^
what i would like to do is basically create a new story without anything from the game and its timeline; not necessarily "before/after" things, but just...no traveler(s), no characters we know already, everybody will be new characters in the same locations. the abyss can still exist with a different story, etcetc ^^ |

Hmhm, that seems like it could be quite an undertaking! Depending on the plot, it could call for a lot of world-building given that the Genshin world is shaped by its characters. Without Zhongli and the Tsaritsa, the Archon War and current conflict will be completely altered...

we've been floating a few ideas, this is the one i've been rolling in my head though
* a corrupting taint has appeared in liyue, seemingly abyss-related in origin. it corrupted the geo archon and a few adepti, transforming them into creatures of darkness. they were sealed away by the remaining 6 archons, who then fled to celestia in fear of the slowly-encroaching rot, where they discuss a plan (to varying degrees of urgency).
** because of the sudden disappearance of the 7, as well as a lack of contact, there hasn't been a single vision given out in (x) years. one country (still undecided, but leaning towards inazuma bc. there's already a similar thing happening in-canon) 's step-in leader has decided that the idea of only a select number of teyvatans having visions is 'unfair', so they've ordered a decree to collect all visions in their country through force. those who willingly give up their visions & swear themselves to the leader's service are given delusions. the country is planning on extending their reach to other countries in order to take their visions as well
** currently in liyue, the taint is slowly spreading throughout the land. because the geo archon + the adepti that were corrupted with him were major players in exorcising vengeful spirits, the number of vengeful spirits & demons are beginning to climb. this is causing chaos, ranging from harmless ghost sightings to more severe things like possession.
for the most part the archons lore are the same/similar to their canon counterparts, just with different names and/or appearances/personalities :'o but thats just bc we're lazy LOL if you wanna come up with smth spicy for ur archon by all means go ahead

Ah, that all sounds great~!
And keeping the Archons somewhat similar to canon is a good idea too- that way there are more familiar aspects of the story. Example being, Mondstadt is the 'city of freedom' because of Venti's temperament. ^^
So are the Archons the sole protagonists?

Do you know what your character limit is? And there should probably be something that pushes at least some of them to interact pretty soon into the rp so that things don't stagnate. Do you know what the original setting will be? Like, Liyue or Inazuma?

i'd say for character limit, the rp as a whole probably won't have one, but anyone can come up with however many they want ^^ the only thing i suggest is to keep things even, such as genders/elements/classes etc. we wouldn't want like 20 pyros and only 3 of everyone else (for example)
oh definitely, with how big the map is at the moment, it would be semi-difficult to not have something that drives everyone in a single direction; unless we have lil groups of characters scattered around to eventually work together into one driving plot?

Hey~ That looks great!
I was thinking- since we don't have any Archon info right now, it might be easier to already have a loose idea of how the war ends. That way no matter what personalities and decisions play into it, not much has to be changed once you have all of the spots filled. Do you plan on making it similar to the original?
Do you know which history/info you want to keep and what you want to change?
I also think dividing the characters up into separate groups and plots is a good idea! Maybe not too many so that they'd be easily manageable, though?
And I'd like to go with that too, Boy Wonder! I also look forward to making an adepti ^^

Rean (boy wonder) and I were chewing on an idea when coming up with the idea to make the rp, and we had the idea that ages ago (unknown, haven't come up with the number yet) a rogue archon for whatever reason was basically tired of the same order day after day, age after age, and turned their back against the gods to focus on power. It basically causes a rift between the gods (bc some lowkey agree, some don't) and it creates a civil war between the archons and their followers/chosen adepti, which thus came to become known as the archon war. The war ends with a settled situation; some archons were replaced with those worthy of position, and the rogue archon fell away, who then creates the abyss. since the rp takes place current time, so to speak, with the whole "abyss tainting" happening, we haven't come up with an initial idea of when that all starts, but its cool to play around with the idea that it's been happening periodically, slowly, for a while hmmhmm. But that's kinda what we theorized and chewed on for the most part ^^ ~
i have an adepti character in mind, one of (if not The) last yaksha, who was chosen by the geo archon before they fell to fight the tainting and such; my character gets tainted but just barely, so they have a chance to be saved but it's not gonna be easy. but they were helped while the archon fell and gets corrupted ;-; i love a good guilt ridden sad character don't mind me ~
i'd love to see adepti (or similar) characters chosen by other archons since the only ones we've seen currently were picked by zhongli and such ^^ it would be interesting to see different dynamics and such for different "ruled" adept, probably with different views and opinions, esp since the archons hid away o:

So we have the basics for that down! Are you thinking of giving people specific roles for their characters to fill? Like having a list of: Adepti, Knight, Adventurer, etc so that we kind of have pre-arranged spots to be filled?
