This is a roleplay page to sort of test the idea of a roleplay as well as test the literacy and roleplay capacity of potential high-ranking members.
The Clans this is testing for are TunnelClan, PastureClan, GroveClan, ShoreClan, MireClan, and AlpineClan, six Clans of mine that are actually going to be hosted on a different Proboards forum. If you would like to view the planning page, you can find it here.
The idea behind these six Clans is that the five original Clans (SkyClan having eventually rejoined with the other four) eventually were destroyed by inner conflict and their members scattered. Several cats, though, weren't quite able to give up on the Clans, and so passed the teachings down to their kits. Eventually, those kits found a place where suitable territories for new Clans could be set up. At first, they created five new Clans in the images of the old ones (PastureClan=WindClan, GroveClan=ThunderClan, ShoreClan=RiverClan, MireClan=ShadowClan, AlpineClan=SkyClan) and found the descendants of the original Clans to rejoin them. However, the new Clans would not allow those not of Clan blood to join, and so several rogues, loners, and other cats decided to form their own Clan, which they called BraveClan. The Clans were not especially accepting of BraveClan, and pushed them to the edge of their territories. Over the generations, though, BraveClan became an accepted Clan, though their territory remained where it was, outside the others' circle. Many generations after that, though, more tragedy befell the sixth Clan when twolegs came and destroyed their territory for a twolegplace. Rather than merge with the other Clans as they were invited to do, they escaped to the tunnels in the cliffs of ShoreClan territory, which ran under AlpineClan's mountains, and became TunnelClan, learning to survive in the darkness.
This mini-roleplay is sort of a jump-in that takes place a bit after BraveClan becomes TunnelClan. It will be a Gathering, so cats from any Clan can freely interact. A summary of each Clan's personality and physical traits are as follows:
PastureClan: Lithe, swift cats with long legs, who are generally earthy colors like brown, gray, tawny, and some shades of ginger. In personality, PastureClan cats are the least confrontational. While they are loyal and proud of their Clan, they would prefer to take insults than start petty fights, and choose their battles carefully. They tend to be pleasant to be around, and are generally the most trusting of the Clans.
GroveClan: Generally large, fairly sturdy cats who come in foresty colors like brown, gold, tawny, or tortoiseshell. GroveClan cats are outspoken and generally friendly, even to cats outside of their Clan, though they can be aggressive when challenged. They are always one to stand up to bullying or any kind of injustice that they see, and don't seem to realize that others don't usually care for their input.
ShoreClan: Large, heavily-built, and strong, ShoreClan cats have short fur or, sometimes, none at all. They have wide paws and thick layers of fat to help them float and to insulate them against cold water. ShoreClan cats are generally shades of gray, though they can sometimes be black or sandy browns and tawny. ShoreClan cats are aloof and proud, extremely loyal to their Clan and often seeing the troubles and disputes of other Clans as beneath them.
MireClan: Large and muscular, but still light and lithe enough to move through the cypress trees of their home territory, or walk across logs or large lily pads. MireClan cats are generally dark, forest colors like dark browns, blacks, or tortoiseshells, and of all the Clans have the most "red" cats. MireClan cats are sneaky, cunning, and suspicious of other Clans. They always expect others to have some kind of motive, and never just hand out favors. They are extremely loyal to their own Clan, though they will be civil with those outside it.
AlpineClan: Small and lithe but muscular cats built for climbing and jumping, generally with gray or white fur, though sometimes with other colors to blend in with the pine forests of their mountains. AlpineClan cats are friendly and agreeable, and rarely start fights with other Clans. However, they are loyal to their own Clan, and suspicious of others, at least to the degree that they never give away anything very personal about themselves. They will stand their ground if challenged, but they usually try not to resort to claws.
TunnelClan: Coming in a broad range of colors and sizes due to their heritage, TunnelClan cats over the past generations have somewhat adapted to their subterranean life by developing thick, insulating fur, large eyes, and mostly dark colors. TunnelClan cats are hardy, determined, and adaptable, always able to think their way out of a situation. They tend to be rather defensive, being extremely loyal to their Clan as well as sensitive to criticism from other Clans.
