I like calling him Tigerheart. Nearly everyone on this forum hates him, and I'm interested to see why you do. He's frustrating at times but I didn't find him to be completely despicable. I actually liked it when he was the only leader who was bold enough to question Bramblestar. He's rash, yes, but he was fresh after everyone insisting Brambles was having just a bad day.

I hate him because he has a truckload of Plot Armor and is clearly worshipped by the narrative.
His book was propaganda praising him but thank StarClan I could see through that Foxdung.
Freaking SCORCHFUR was cheering him on and that's nightmarish.
After being disloyal to his clan many many times these Erins are trying to convince us that ONLY HE can help ShadowClan out of this dark time. Really?! You expect me to believe he(a traitorous moron) is the one who will save the clan he spat on time and time again.
And also poor Dovewing. No one can save her character now.

Author bias, he’s a raging hypocrite, he’s done nothing to change Shadowclan, they’re now right back to being basic meathead bullies to other clans, he’s disrespectful as hell to cats when he has no leg to stand on after constantly breaking the code and abandoning his clan when they needed him, he didn’t let Tawnypelt do her job as deputy to the point that she began to believe she just didn’t feel like Shadowclan anymore, he pulled Dovewing around into an awful forbidden romance, he was awful to Skyclan, unbearable in TBC, tells his son to watch over the same cat that literally tried to murder him, treated the Guardian Cats like lower class species for not being Clan cats, and dear g o d he always has to be right, and characters are destroyed to make him look better. It’s the laziest kind of writing, and I hate characters that require that.

I think I'm actually in the minority who actually likes him. While he's not without faults and the blatant author bias and favoritism, I think he's a decent leader for ShadowClan and I've been really enjoying him in TBC and his super edition.
That said, he also seems to be the editor's go-to when they need a cat to be an antagonist, so they make Tigerstar do total 180s on his personality in order to try and bring some menial conflict into the plot, like with The Raging Storm or Squirrelflight's Hope. It's frustrating.

I disliked the way he manipulated Dovepaw/wing back in OotS and then started to hate him during AVoS because he was build up by the writing team while they in turn had to drag two other character's and their personalities through the mud in order to even make it work somehow. While I'm still not a big fan of either Rowanstar or Bumblestripe, those two deserved better in some way. It's a shame really, as Tigerpaw/heart was a well liked character of mine back when PoT took place.

I actually like him for the most part, but some contrarian part of me also wants to dislike him because the Erins are very clearly biased towards him and my "don't tell me what to like or dislike, show me actions and let me judge" instinct flares up. Like Rockfoot said, I also strongly dislike the fact that he's pretty much the go-to character to turn into an unreasonable asswipe the second they need some conflict from "the good guy side". Contrast before and after he became leader.
