How do you feel about them? Tbh at first I didn't understand why the word "foot" came into the Warriors universe in the first place. It's still weird. I'm fine on the -spirit suffix, and I wouldn't care that much if it was reused. I know it was used at first for Brightspirit to honor Emmy Cherry but Kate said something about using the suffix again to remember her longer? and even without that I don't really mind.

I like them both. I prefer spirit, since it sounds so pretty and mysterious, over foot, which doesn't sound as great, but I still think they're both fine.

I don’t mind -foot at all! But I can see where the distaste of the use -spirit outside of Brightspirit comes from. I’m pretty sure Brightspirit was created after a girl who died in a tornado, which is the only use of the-spirit suffix. It was a big deal during Rootspring’s warrior name poll since Rootspirit was one of the options.

I don't mind the -foot suffix, and nor do I mind -spirit being used for more cats other than Brightspirit.

I think foot is for like a fast cat, or something used to describe their paws. Like Emberfoot, doesn't he have darker grey paws? Same with Shrewfoot, and Blackfoot(star). Slightfoot is probably a small cat who is fast, since slight means small, or maybe he has small paws. Ashfoot is probably fast, her paws are never described as a different color, and Ash fits for grey all around. I think most cats with the foot suffix are WindClan cats, so it meaning fast as well as being a descriptive word makes sense to me.
