Idk, he's fine to me now. I don't like the TRS thing as much as you don't but considering he's perfectly fine now it was clearly just to put a conflict to the couple so that they had something to do in the book.
Finleap's always followed Twiggy around. The whole thing might as well not exist with how loving to eachother they are outside that instance. Thus, I've elected to ignore it.

I strongly dislike him, and I just wish he would go away. I preferred Fin and Twig as friends, nothing more.

Although I didn't like his behavior in TRS, I like his relationship now with Twigbranch. Him following her around is his trademark thing, I guess. He even said he'd follow her to ShadowClan, lol.

I actually liked FinTwig as a pairing before Finleap's behaviour changed for the worse in TRS. I'm still habouring some resentment against him but if they've worked out those glaring issues together than nothing is stopping them from being a loving couple. Hopefully...

Imo Twigbranch deserves better. I don't care if Finleap bettered himself, good for him I guess, but that doesn't mean he deserved to be with Twigbranch after what he did to her. The way he behaved was abhorrent and he's obviously not ready for any kind of relationship. Imo his behavior was way more similar to Ashfur than Bumblestripe ever was.

If Twigbranch and Finleap are really gonna continue their relationship in the books, I hope we at least get a scene of him apologizing to her. Otherwise, I'm not gonna keep shipping it.

Didn't he apologize in TRS? I don't remember, I haven't read TRS in such a long time LOL. But if he did, good for him! im not sure if the words "im sorry" was said, but they did come to a compromise about not wanting kits at that exact moment in their lives, and then that was it. so to me, it sounds like twigbranch was fine with how things went down and is still with him an arc later, so why is it wrong to assume that things r good between them now after making said compromise?

Finleap is probably jealous both his sibling already have kits.
JK. I want to believe that Finleap truly does regret his treatment of Twigbranch and tried to make ThunderClan home by making friends or something.
I like to pretend TRS doesn't exist sometimes because Finpaw was such a lovable a cinnamon roll before it. I feel like his toxic boyfriend behavior came out of no where and was just done to give Twigbranch a plot sort of like how Alderheat previously got a forced forbidden romance.

I don't dislike him
I don't understand the random butchering of his character for drama. He was so supportive of Twigbranch before, why would he suddenly go off on her like that? Because every couple needs drama?

Finleap is boring with no personality to him other than the typical "nice guy" one. I really don't care for him, and I don't understand the big deal about TwigxFin. Stay in the background for all I care tbh.

And it wasn't even a good plot. They could have done something new like Twigbranch having a long conflict with her apprentice Flywhisker but no, they had to do romance drama.

Hot take here; Finleap wasn't suddenly ruined, the way he behaved was honestly unsurprising because some could see it from a mile away tbh. The kid was making life-changing decisions as a runaway teen and clinging to Twigbranch like a tick. Doesn't help that TC practically babied him too (as much as the fandom does), letting him get away with being rash just because he admired them, while on the other hand Twigbranch got chewed out. It's no wondered he grew up with a skewed perspective and thinking Twigbranch "owed" him a family. He left SkyClan on a whim for a girl, then gets upset when she doesn't want to give him what she wants before forcing her into an ultimatum and straight of being a mansplaining manipulative manwife.

But I DO still wish for TwigFin kits eventually to bring much needed NEW BLOOD into TC, but I do hope they show that Twig is ready at the time.

Hot take here; Finleap wasn't suddenly ruined, the way he behaved was honestly unsurprising because some could see it from a mile away tbh. You've said this in the past too, but as far as the narrative is concerned, him moving to ThunderClan on a whim isn't really treated as a bad thing in itself and his behavior in TRS is never hinted at even at in either DN or RoF. I'm not talking about his entitlement issues in a general sense either, I'm referring very specifically to him constantly asking Twigbranch for kits to the point of threatening to go back to SkyClan and later accusing her of trying to get together with Tree now that Violetshine was gone. How could these very specific instances have been seen from "a mile away" as you so claim? Because the moment Finpaw left at the end of DN, the last thing that was on my mind was this. Had he expressed wanting to be a father prior to TRS at least once and Twigpaw had been uncomfortable with how quickly he was taking things, or maybe if we saw him feeling like an outsider in ThunderClan since that's the entire reason why he wanted to become a father so badly in the first place, then I'd understand. But he doesn't. There's no foreshadowing, no transition, no condemnation from anyone that moving to ThunderClan just to follow his crush was an incredibly reckless thing to do, and that's the problem here. And because of that, his character comes off as incredibly inconsistent and poorly written. And yes, I fully acknowledge that what he did was reckless. Not helped by the fact that ThunderClan basically enabled Finpaw's behavior and he never faces any consequences for his actions either, so of course he'd be a little spoiled. It's literally the same problem I had with Twigbranch. Bramblestar never even speaks to Leafstar or Finpaw's parents before letting him join first. But again, there's nothing prior to TRS that even hints that he would turn out as horrible as he did. Plus, sometimes it's just nice to have a cute romance without the pairing going through any major issues. It's why CrookedxWillow is my favorite in the series and I'd much prefer that to what we'd gotten. But if they wanted to show them having problems, fine. Every couple goes through them, it's normal and even healthy sometimes. If they wanted to show the consequences of him just joining ThunderClan on a whim, fine. But they could've done all of this without making him into a creep.

Every couple goes through them, it's normal and even healthy sometimes. If they wanted to show the consequences of him just joining ThunderClan on a whim, fine. But they could've done all of this without making him into a creep. I said it before like almost a year ago, so honestly that's surprising to hear. When I say, "from a mile a way" I'm talking about his behavior in general, and how it's unsurprising the way he acted to some and myself. He left SkyClan, and his family behind, quite literally on a whim, and for a girl at that, following her back to another clan, and making a huge decision of switching allegiances and starting new, while still an apprentice. If he was older, and a warrior, and actually gave it more thought, then I wouldn't have had a problem with it, but he wasn't. And you're right, the way he behaved later was no where on in his mind when he left with Twig, but that's the point, he had nothing but her on the mind when he made those decisions. There were few in the minority that expressed concerned and qualms about how quickly he did this, and how much his character was clinging to Twigbranch's in the narrative. However, the way he handled Twigbranch's "rejection" doesn't seem as ooc to me as others claim it is. His father was over protective of him, TC pretty much babied him, and he got to be with the girl he liked, while also praised for his heroic deeds, nothing he did was ever actually reprimanded, which is quite ironic because Twigbranch on the other hand was. Then he grows up into a "knowitall" and becomes overbearing even when Twigbranch is expressing frustration over how to train her apprentice. His mind set, to Twigbranch at least, was obvious. He thought so casually that things would go how he wanted, and when Twigbranch expressed otherwise, he didn't take it well. He later pretty much confirms this when he tried to force her into an ultimatum, because at the end of the day, he had no kin in TC, he only had Twigbranch. And he left his kin behind for her, at a young age and on a whim, he over-expected that they would live "happily ever after". Quite literally it's like how Bristlefrost expected her and Stemleaf to be happy together after she became a warrior and confessed, only for him to reject her. But the difference is that Bristlefrost only moped and felt slightly jealous before getting over it. While Finleap obviously couldn't handle rejection, and expected more from Twigbranch after choosing her over everything, he expected her to do the same for him. Instead of learning from his mistakes, he only slowly worsens the issue, being jealous of Tree, and showing just how young, naïve, and ridiculous he actually is, as opposed to earlier when he was trying to act mature over the apprentices and their training. The entire theme of AVoS centered around kin and clan loyalty, and Finleap's short spiral pretty much fits that theme imo. To some it may seem out of no where, and that's fine, everyone has different perspectives. But to me and others, the signs of his reckless, rash decision making was already there, and rejection makes people act differently too.
