Or did it change your opinion on any other more important characters, such as Onestar or Tornear for instance?
For me, it made me like Mudclaw more.

It made me like him more.
I love that they didn’t pull a reverse Ashfur and kept him the way he always was.
On the other hand he was made dumber for Hawkfrost.

It didn’t really change any opinion I had of him. I never really cared all that much about him. He’s written well, but I am a bit peeved they pulled an Ashfur of “Your attempted murders of your own clanmates is okay, you just loved Windclan too much.” but. I’m not surprised. So long as his actions aren’t excused, then I enjoy content of him. He was real dumb with Hawkfrost though, but tbf he was real dumb years ago in the books anyway. I do appreciate that his character gives conflict though.
So I’m just neutral. I don’t care much.

Less. So, so, so much less! I was always pretty neutral on him before, but now that we have the full story, he's just one more character that's not on my dislike list.

I'll stan him forever so that probably answers the question. Though I know that's a very controversial and unpopular opinion to have here. .-.

I like him much less now.
Now that we know how low he was willing to go, even wanting Onestar and Ashfoot dead and planning to make Hawkfrost his deputy, I have grown to like him a lot less. He was arrogant and irresponsible. The was he reacted to the situation was wrong, even though he believed he was cheated out of leadership by Firestar. Trusting cats such as Hawkfrost so much was the wrong way to go about it.
Meanwhile I’ve grown to like Tornear. What a good boy.

It made me like Mudclaw a lot less. While i can appreciate they made him more complex, it just made his personality worse. I thought he was a more responsable and loyal cat, but now i can see he's extremely petty and arrogant.

It made me like him less. While I liked seeing his character and all his flaws, I like him as a cat less now.
But then again, I never liked him in the first place.

I like him more in the sense that he is written VERY well as someone who is caught up in the sunk cost fallacy and is unable to swallow his pride enough to admit he made a mistake.

Honestly made me like him more, I was genuinely surprised how much WoC delivered when it came to his gray morals, and complexity as a character was quite the treat. It ended up moving him from my B or C tiers to probably A.

One more thing I liked about the book is that it shot a gaping hole through a lot of the common arguments used to defend Mudclaw's character. The confirmation that murder was on his mind did a lot in that way.

Made me dislike him now that we got to see things through his perspective. The fact that he was willing to let Onewhisker and Ashfoot (and potentially other cats) be killed just out of petty spite doesn't sit well with me. He had a right to be upset, given that it was pretty shady switch, but he went about it completely wrong and pretty irresponsibly. That said, however, it did make him a far more interesting character to me. While he's petty, spiteful, arrogant, and unable to swallow his own pride, he genuinely does seem to have a love and loyalty to his Clan. He's written very well and more complex than he was before.
It did make me like and appreciate Tornear quite a lot, along with Onewhisker and Ashfoot. One thing I did like about the latter two was seeing them actually initial struggle with their new positions, though unfortunately Mudclaw used that as an excuse to argue they weren't fit for the job.

Definitely less. Mudclaw is now on the same list as Onestar for me. Which is the one for suckers.

No lol. The fact that Mudclaw was willing to allow his Clanmates to die just so he could become the leader did not sit well with me. I didn't know much about Mudclaw before, and while I think that the switch was unfair, conspiring with a RiverClan cat and attempting murder is not the way to settle it.

Less
I still don't believe he did everything he did solely because he wanted what was best for his clan
