Do you think Briarlight is a well written character?

Yes. (I'm just saying yes to all these, aren't I? Lol) She had to deal with her injuries that crippled her for life, but she faced it with a positive attitude and upbeat outlook. Her relationship with Jayfeather was cute; I don't ship them but I do like them as close friends. She's brave, optimistic, and she was so kind and caring towards other cats in need (Twigbranch, Alderheart)

Yes, even though I found Briarlight to be pretty boring I liked how she was consistently very optimistic and had a personality that wasn't "disabled cat."

for what she was, i'd say yes. it was a nice sentiment to keep her alive for a symbol of hope and stuff, but the timing, and the way they killed her off was disrespectful.

Yeah! I liked how she was written and how her disability was portrayed realistically! I don't mind how she was killed off since it was bound to happen eventually within the series and that's pretty much how it was expected she'd die, though to be honest I thought Blossomfall would be the first to die out of the litter due to her recklessness.
Briarlight's friendship with Jayfeather and relationship with Millie and Bumblestripe are well-written as well.

Yes and her death was completely unfair. The way the Erin Hunter team disrespected Vicky’s wishes about her cousin not long after she left still doesn’t sit right with me.

Yes, Briarlight is awesome! Although I do feel like her death was not written at the correct time or in a right way. She really deserved so much better! The fact that her disability storyline is based on a real life person made it difficult for me to accept how it ended. Briarlight's Trivia on the Warriors Wiki: warriors.fandom.com/wiki/Briarlight/TriviaWhile originally having been said to only live a little while longer after Fading Echoes was published, she had not died until at least eight years after the publication of the book where she had her injury. Vicky revealed Briarlight was never intended to survive long. However, one of her cousins was paralyzed while she was drafting Briarlight's story, so Vicky decided to let Briarlight live and documented her recovery, strength, and spirit based upon her cousin's.

Yes, I feel like her depression is very realistic written. She tries to be as optimistic as people to make people stop worrying about her, but she feels horrible inside, and sometimes that shines through.
She gives Ella Lopez vibes from the series "Lucifer", if you've seen it you know what I mean.
