WarriorClan, please gather around for an important clan meeting! Oh, and Graystripe, you're welcome, too.
Today, we need to discuss a serious matter. What is life like for twolegs? Some of us live with them, sleep besides them, and even hunt for them! Yet, we can never quite figure out what it is they are thinking and doing when we go about our warrior duties. Others of us do not live with twolegs, but have had enough encounters with them. So, members of WarriorClan, please share your thoughts. What do you think twolegs do with their lives?

I would think that Twolegs are dumb, clumsy beings. They wear bright flashy pelts, they let Monsters eat them, they stomp around making an absolute racket, and they communicate with simple grunts and shouts. But there must be some form of intelligence to them. Looking at Thunderpaths, Twolegplaces... But why do they create new things and not be content with what they have?
Why do Twolegs wear bright pelts? Theory time! Perhaps like some colorful birds, they use them to attract mates? Perhaps it's a sign they are dangerous? A lot of dangerous or poisonous animals are brightly colored. As for the pelts themselves, they are probably worn to keep them warm. No creature that is missing all of its fur could possibly survive the night or leafbare!

Nothing. Twolegs will always waste their entire lives away on unnecessary things and thoughts. Cats are clearly the most superior beings and once humans have finally destroyed themselves, us beautiful carnivores shall take over!

Twolegs are probably enslaved by monsters.

Thinking of a cat whose Twoleg works or otherwise is out of the house a lot. They were probably think their Twoleg would go out hunting or fighting but never come back with fresh kill or wounds, so they would be confused. They might think it’s some sort of patrol, but they wouldn’t quite understand where they were going or why. Enslaved to a monster like a television or computer might also be something that comes up.
Something interesting would be the concept of declawing or otherwise blunting a cat’s claws. I would think the cats might get annoyed, but maybe some would be uncomfortable without it (since blunting the claws can can help if they grow too long, if I remember properly). Declawing might be something about the owners making the calls disappear, but I feel like someone would make the connection between scratching up things that were valuable to their owners and the claws disappearing.
I’m not sure how anyone would write that, though, considering a lot of times it is considered cruel, sad, and is banned almost everywhere except the United States (and as some states are beginning to ban it there too). A lot of the stories I’ve seen show it as something sad and cruel. Interestingly, there was a cat in one story that just naturally was born without any front claws. It was because of a birth defect, but he lived to be an elder with no major issues. It reminded me of the declawing recommendations in my area where it was talked about that if you need to get a cat declawed, do only the front claws. It eliminated the need to scratch things constantly, but it allowed the cat to defend itself if it escaped. So it would be interesting if they introduced someone without their back claws for some reason, especially if the cats found themselves more comfortable because of it (not needing to scratch things constantly, worry about the claws growing too long and clipping).
Another headcanon would be a cat that isn’t fat or lazy because I’m spaying or neutering. As someone that had a lot of animals that were fixed and were neither, on top of having female horses (Who typically can’t be spayed and have to deal with a lot of issues because of that), I always found the stereo type something that annoyed me. So I always wondered what it would be like if the series introduced by character that had a lot of discomfort because of urges to breed or just the body going through the urge to breed even though the character doesn’t want to. It would be especially interesting if that was a wild cat because they obviously don’t have the means to spay and neuter, but it’s being but spay and neutering brings relief from those behaviors. The cats might decide they don’t like having the choice taken away, but they make knowledge that some of them feel more comfortable or are freed from future discomfort. I’m not sure how warriors would depict that being what it is, but it would be interesting and a different take on the whole thing.
