Do you think she's a mature character in general, or were there situations she could've handled better?

For the most part, I think Squirrelflight was immature (part of her personality, tbh) about the way she handled things. The Hakwfrost debate she was way too insulting and disrespectful, such as telling Brambleclaw "If you're so besotted with him, go and join him in RiverClan!"
With lying about the Three, that didn't have as much to do whether she was mature or not: she made a poor decision trying to protect Brambleclaw.
With the Sisters I believe she was immature for she used Sparkpelt to cover up for her and seemed to be very easily and almost childishly annoyed every time the Sisters were criticized.
Outside of these quarrels with Brambleclaw, I think Squirrelflight is a decent cat, mature enough to handle situations well. (Especially in TBC! Poor girl.)

During the fire scene I think she handled that as well as she possibly could, given the circumstances. TBC in my opinion is showcasing that despite her flaws, she's trying to approach things with a level head, especially since how current events involve her very personally. I really can't help but respect her for it and her maturity this arc has made me enjoy her as a character and like her more.
Situations like Hawkfrost or the Sisters though, I can't say the same. While I know she has good intentions, she goes about it the wrong way and/or acts immaturely about it (I think Squirrelflight's Hope is the biggest example here).

she's not as mature as people think she is. sure, she isn't exactly like her apprentice self, but she's still a bit immature, self-centered, and arrogant.

Generally Squirrelflight is mature. As she grew up she became more mature and only showed that side of hers when she was desperate and/or became too hotheaded, showing she still has one of her biggest flaws, but there are many situations that show that she's handled things very maturely. (TBC, the fire scene, lying to Brambleclaw, etc.)
I can't say she's the most mature cat in the world, as when she was younger she was really innmature, but she grew out of it and for now she only shows it occasionally.

She was immature at first and now she, I guess, handles things more maturely. Some people say it's character growth but, personally, to me I liked her immature personality and preferred it to how she became later on (though I don't blame her, she has had a tough life). She was full of personality in a way that many Clan cats are not. Immaturity was part of her personality and could make her a hit-or-miss with some people, making her more memorable and fun as a character.

There were definetely situations she could've handled better, but in general, she is a very mature person.
