Do you think this was a fair punishment?
I feel like it was. I don't think Leafpool deserved a punishment in the first place, but her lie was a huge deal, so I understand why she needed to face some consequences. Leafpool probably got the harshest treatment, with her own daughter wanting her dead, Ashfur dying because of her, and abandoning her kits to Squirrelflight without raising them or calling them as her own. I feel like Leafpool went through a lot

her punishing herself showcases her flaws. she is so selfless that she attempts to solve things alone to spare others. she punished herself so she wouldnt have to make her father do it in front of the whole clan. she wanted to spare everyone else the second hand shame and sympathy, so she handled it on her own. she knows how to hurt herself, so taking away the job she came back to the clans for would be the next best thing (since her kits already didnt like her at the time, and all this already hurt squirrelflight. the only one left to save from this hurt were her parents, and by punishing herself, she managed to spare firestar the hurt of having to punish his own child).

yes and no. She shouldn't have been a warrior because she is isn't a good one and is many times more useful as a medicine cat. I still do believe she should have been punished though because the series is getting boring with no codebreakers other than Mapleshade and to an extent Yellowfang getting punished. However, Firestar is to biased towards his daughter to punish her, she stepped down voluntarily.

Yes, I think it was fair. My only complaint would be she should have been trained as a warrior once she stepped down.

Yes, Leafpool needed some sort of punishment for breaking the rules.

It honestly saved Firestar from punishing his daughter. I think it was a good punishment

I think it was fine how it went and I'm glad she got her position back. She's obviously a skilled medicine cat. I think it's unfair to expect a cat who wants to heal others to be expected to fight.

I’m not sure how I feel about the fact that she punished herself. I think she should’ve faced some consequences for her actions, but I don’t think she should’ve been the one to decide what that punishment was. The only consequences she faced were self-imposed, and nothing stood in her way when she agreed to join Jayfeather as a medicine cat again, proving that it was never really a punishment to begin with. I also don’t like how the fact that she stepped down on her own stopped Firestar from punishing her - it let him get away with his favoritism toward his own kin.
