sandstorm is a wonderful she-cat and doesn't deserve a tom who one moment is in love with her and the next flirting with his attractive dead high school crush :/

^Rhyella, your message under the picture is too relatable right now
I don't like Sandstorm or Firestar in general. I just found Sandstorm extremely bland, with a tsundere-like personality during her apprenticeship and as an early warrior.
Firestar, don't even get me started. He's just awful.

But Firestar learned to love Sandstorm and forget about Spottedleaf. A reason why they have kits. Firestar loved Sandstorm ever since The darkest hour or was it A dangerous path, but it was one of those two. He even tried to find Spottedleaf in Starclan to tell her that he loved Sandstorm or something like that, but Spottedleaf wouldn't leave him alone. In Firestar's quest Spottedleaf was alright with Firestar loving Sandstorm and so after that Firestar and Sandstorm just ignored Spottedleaf and just continued on life. Spottedleaf will always be a dare friend of his, but his true lover will always be Sandstorm.

Firestar and Sandstorm were life partners. Spottedleaf, Firestar's crush that he only started loving after she died for some reason, can't compare to that kind of bond. Plus, I don't recall Firestar ever flirting with Spottedleaf. If anything, it was Spottedleaf who was constantly visiting his dreams. Plus. Firestar got over Spottedleaf.

Firestar tried to move on from Spottedleaf, though. It's Spottedleaf who refused to let Firestar go, knowing that they were together! In Spottedleaf's Honest Answer, Spottedleaf said so herself that Firestar said he wanted to move on from a memory, but instead she moped around and complained about it instead of trying to move on in a healthier way:
After one of those moonless nights, Sandstorm was his mate, and I knew that the invisible river between us had grown too wide to leap across. Did you know that he came looking for me in a dream, sought me out to explain that he had to move on and that he couldn’t be in love with a memory anymore? I am not a memory! I wanted to wail, like a kit abandoned by its mother. I am here, I still love you. I will walk beside you forever. But what is that compared with the warmth that Sandstorm can offer him, the solid presence of a mate to help him lead the Clan, to give him beautiful children and watch their kin grow up together? I will still be young when Firestar grows old, but Sandstorm will match him step for step, reflecting his graying fur and slowing paws like a pool of clear water. - Spottedleaf's Honest Answer ((Sorry, I don't know the codes too well yet.))
Anyway, Firestar stopped "flirting" with Spottedleaf. It's the other way around: Spottedleaf is flirting with him, not Firestar. She won't leave them alone, and she knows that Firestar loves Sandstorm, but she refuses to accepts it and gets in between their relationship, causing Sandstorm to lose trust in Firestar.

Firestar never flirted with Spottedleaf though. Their relationship was never romantic, despite the fact they had feelings for one another. They were strictly friends. Firestar loves Sandstorm and he always has.

I support SandstormXFirestar, always have. I just hated that Spottedleaf kept showing up around Firestar and during the Great Battle when Spottedleaf dies, I believe Firestar was all "We were supposed to walked together in StarClan!" and whatnot, right in front of Sandstorm! I'm honestly glad Spottedleaf died, I always hated her.
