if i remember correctly, then wasnt brokenstar completely harmless by then? so keeping him alive instead of killing him outright was probably the morally right thing to do.

It was a dangerous decision for her Clan, but I believe morally it was the right thing to do. Brokenstar was blind and defenseless in that state.

Yes, because Brokenstar was completely harmless by then. But it did put ThunderClan in a dangerous position, as they were harboring a murderer.

Yes. She didn't want to brutally murder a defenseless cat, so she decided to keep him prisoner, which was the best thing to do.
