What did you guys think about Lionblaze specifically in Omen of the Stars?
I loved Lionblaze in POT, but OOTS was definitely the arc where I lost investment in his chapters and a lot of my interest in him as a character. Most of his chapters felt boring, and I don't hate LionCinder, but the way they were written was just very tiring imo
I'm thankful that Lion is much more interesting in TBC; this arc has reminded me of why I loved him so much in the first place.

Lionblaze in OOTS had the most boring chapters ever, what with him acting all mopey over Cinderheart but I'll take his boring chapters over Dovepaw/wing's infurating ones anyday.

Lionblaze was great during PoT but OotS really made his PoV seem a bit unnecessary/boring. He's doing good again in TBC though and had at least one nice scene while AVoS was happening. I think that took place when the ShadowClan elders Oakfur and Ratscar got rescued from the Kin.

I have to say that Lionblaze was one of my favourite characters back in Power of Three when he was an apprentice. Everything about his training in the Dark Forest, his relationship with Heatherpaw and his violent nightmares which made him afraid he was becoming evil were interesting. In Omen of the Stars however, he got really boring really fast. Expect for The Forgotten Warrior were his chapters were important because of Hollyleafʼs return, there was nothing particularly interesting about him anymore. The only things I remember him doing were going on the journey to find the, getting in a really frustrating on and off relationship with Cinderheart and killing Russetfur and Shredtail. That's it. He didn't do anything. Jayfeather, Dovewing, Ivypool and even Flametail did memorable things. But he really didn't. I like him again in The Broken Code, but in Omen of the Stars, his chapters were the most boring in the entire series.

I think he's pretty boring. I used to like him, but now I think he should just die already. I always preferred Graystripe's and Thornclaw's families to Firestar's.

Also, I'm new here, so can somebody tell me how this website works? Our Introductions board would be a great place to start. There’s a thread that answers common questions (if you have any) and if you’d like, you can pm me.

I like Lionblaze but his OOTS chapters are sooo boring, especially with Cinderheart.

I love Lionblaze man, but I was rereading TLH last night and I came to a chapter where I genuinely couldn't tell whether the POV was Lion's or Jay's for like three whole pages. Dude has nothing running through his head in that arc.

Lionblaze in OotS really wasn't that bad. He was gentle with his apprentice and he wanted what was best for Cinderheart to be happy with him. It's a shame they made him an angry character. Lionblaze would've been very likable if they continued to work on his softer side because I actually liked him a lot in OotS and CinderxLion are one of my favorite couples.

I actually entirely agree with you. Other people in this thread was harping on the actual writing quality of his chapters, so I commented on that as well; I don't think his chapters are well-written. But from a broader perspective when I'm not looking at line-level writing, I think he's a fantastic character. His arc is well-paced throughout the arc, and he's a good cat in general even though he makes mistakes. Those are just some of the reasons I love him so much. And obviously (points to status), I love LionCinder as well! It's nice to see another shipper, we're so rare. XD

He was boring, but I can say I preferred them over Jayfeather's immense complaining, grumpy chapters (He was so, so unlikable) and Dovepaw and Ivypaw's ridiculous squabbling chapters.

I liked him in OOTS. As Aqua said, we got to see his softer side, not just his trademark anger and boldness.

He was incredibly boring in OOTS, and to make it even worse, he tried to control everything about Dovewing, and he was also a hyprocite. He told Dovewing that she couldn't tell her sister about her powers, but he told Cinderheart about his powers because she was worried about him :/
