I don't clearly remember when I wrote this, it was back when Vision of Shadows was in the early stages. I found it on the archived BlogClan site since I guess I never saved it to my old laptop. Here it is! I also have an evil Firestar AU with just bullet points ideas that I'll make a separate post about later.
Here it goes.
The Clans are finally at peace now after the events of Bramblestar’s Storm, all is well and the cats are celebrating, everyone is having a good time. There are no rivalries going on. But then the main cat, whoever it is, gets a dream. Now in the beginning of his/her dream, they are told that they are not allowed to say anything to any living cat about what is about to be shown to them. A vision appears, portraying the destruction of the Clans by whatever threat is coming, but it is impossible to tell what it is. All they can hear is cats arguing, and fuzzy shadows. The vision fades out, and another StarClan cat appears. They tell the main cat that there is nothing they can do to change the future, that the connection between StarClan and the living is disintegrating. Soon, there will be no connection at all. But then the whole of StarClan appears in the dream, and they all tell this cat that StarClan will be with them always in the darkest of times, whatever happens, and that they really do care, even if it seems they have abandoned the Clans. This is their promise. The main cat is now burdened with this horrible truth, and only they are allowed to know about it.
Slowly, in the living world, bad things are starting to occur again. But StarClan can’t help. They don’t send any prophecies or omens. The leaders and medicine cats can’t even reach them through the Moonpool. Cats begin to lose faith, they break the warrior code because they don’t care anymore. They believe StarClan is gone, and that the time of the Clans is over. Friends are turning on friends over the pettiest situations. The only cat who sticks to it, is the main character, and he has to suffer slowly as he/she watches their world crumble around them, powerless to stop it, because they know they aren’t allowed to say anything.
Many moons pass. The Clans eventually break up because there is nothing left. Clan tradition has been forgotten. Cats are injured, tired, sick, and hungry. No one mentions StarClan.
Soon, a new group of cats move in, they are organized in a Clan-like fashion. They’re confused, because they’ve been told that four groups of cats live here that are supposed to be civilized. They had to move from their old home because their ancestors told them to, and for a special reason, but it was never stated exactly why. This group of cats, happens to be SkyClan. They realize it’s their turn to help, to restore life around the lake. They go through a lot of trouble rebuilding everything as it once was and trying to get cats to remember Clan tradition and believe in themselves once again. Their only help comes from the main cat, who is the only one who remembers how it used to be, and how it should be.
Soon cats start to remember, they realize that they are all there for a reason and that they don’t have to lose hope. StarClan doesn’t have to be there so they can survive in peace. They just need to find faith in themselves. The Clans finally settle again. SkyClan claims they must leave because their work is done. But the other Clans invite them to stay, because they helped so much in bringing peace again. Eventually they agree, and they find a slice of territory around the lake to claim. The Clans thanks them for what they have done.
Finally, the time comes to hold the first Gathering after the reformation of the Clans. StarClan reappears again, they announced what had happened and why they were gone for so long. They say they are so proud of the Clans for overcoming their fears and differences, especially without help from StarClan. SkyClan’s ancestors reappear to, now united with the other Clans’ ancestors. [Maybe there could even be a plot point that has StarClan revealing the Clans’ ancient linkage with the Tribe cats, I don’t know, but I thought it would be cool.]
Thank you for reading my predictions and I hope you enjoyed them!
