So, I was thinking what Mudclaw told Onestar at the end of WoC: Do you think Mudclaw approves of the things Onestar had done? Do you think he would've done the same things?

I think he'd be fine with it. Probably even say "Wow, that Onestar guy is actually pretty cool. I could get to like him"

i dont think so. the eclipse battle is proof that onestar was insecure and didnt ever want to be leader. mudclaw wouldnt have approved of the eclipse battle. mudclaw has no personal or petty grudge with thunderclan to attack senselessly and needlessly. plus, he'd probably be very judgey when it comes to the darktail stuff.

Hard to say given how Mudclaw was acting pre-death

No, he wouldn't, which makes it even more ironic. The last time we canonly see Mudclaw in the main story was him preparing and helping StarClan ready for the battle against the Dark Forest. So he was still pretty loyal to StarClan and the living cats, so I can't imagine he would approve of how Onestar turned out.
Especially considering Onestar broke the code by letting his cats openly steal and trespass. Then caused an unnecessary all-out war at the eclipse battle, where even ShadowClan was raising a brow at his behavior. And I don't think he, or the rest of StarClan for that matter, took too kindly to Onestar's behavior in AVoS, considering Onestar was going to let ShadowClan die out, then hid such a huge lie about him breaking the code from everyone, just...all around yikes. I feel that Mudclaw and Tallstar would be rolling in their graves over him lol.

Considering Mudclaw was more than ready to slaughter his own clanmates and join with a Riverclan Warrior to attack his own clan, I would say that Mudclaw would be quite the hypocrite to ever judge Onestar’s actions. Knowing Mudclaw, if he had been leader, he’d be more than happy to let other clans die out or suffer, especially if Firestar was involved, of course. Like, Mudclaw is capable of willingly murdering his own clanmates, I’m not giving him any right to speak on Onestar’s morality lol.

Mudclaw doesn't even have any right to "approve" or "disapprove" of Onestar after what he did lmao.

On one hand (or paw) I think that Mudclaw might have approved some of Onestar's actions to make WindClan become more independent from the other Clans mainly Firestar, as WoC makes it rather clear that Muclaw kind of despised him. Then again, this probably only lasted until Onestar revealed his long ago affair with a kittypet which resulted in their complete monster of a son Darktail, not to forget how irrational Onestar acted during the first half of AVoS. So I can imagine Mudclaw to either be horrified at his former rival's behaviour, both with the kept a secret fling and the way he just snapped, or have a sense of malicious joy at how Tallstar's decision turned out out in the end. That would depend on how Mudclaw's character became while residing in StarClan though, because he was shown to have reformed, but who knows if he won't still try pulling an Ashfur someday.
