How different would the story be? The most interesting thing I wonder about is how her relationship with Lionblaze would go. Imagine Cinderpelt x Lionblaze. Cinderpelt would have a mate and kits and actually live the life of a warrior which was the purpose of the whole plot. I think maybe she would be seen as a kinda senior warrior (before she was old enough to be) and called upon for advice and such.

i hate cinderheart for ruining cinderpelt, so if it actually was just pure reincarnation and not just lame possession, i'd be even more upset. bringing cinderpelt back in ANY capacity ruins her character. her learning to adapt and love her new life as a medicine cat is part of why i love her. she was strong and didn't let her feelings get in the way of her duties or friendships.

I really don't think much would change, save for of course Cinderpelt not going to StarClan. She had a very minor appearance at the end of RoF when she related to Alderheart in an attempt to comfort him over having to give up Velvet, but Jayfeather pretty much already did that earlier anyway.
