No. And honestly, I'm disgusted with Rowanstar for thinking he deserves to have a kit just because Needletail found it. Rowanstar is an awful leader, and this is one of the reasons why I don't like him. Bramblestar should have fought for both of the kits to be together. He knows how it feels to be separated by his sibling, so I'm disappointed that he didn't try to keep them. Rowanstar had no right to take Violetshine away like that, and Violetshine felt so alone in her clan, she wasn't even grateful for them after she left for SkyClan. I can't blame her.

needlepaw and rowanstar were massively stupid for thinking they had any claim at all. the kits were already being taken care of in thunderclan.

They shouldn't have been separated, the final deal between these leaders separating the kits is disgusting which makes me hate Bramble and Rowan even more.

I don't think anyone will agree it was right, especially given how much mental damage it caused Twigbranch and Violetshine, especially the latter.

I get where Rowanstar was coming from but no. That looser couldn’t even take care of his own clan, even his grandchildren despised Shadowclan so much they left, and later one of them killed him because everyone was that miserable. Like I said because of Needletail helping find them they do kinda have a right to them but Rowanstar took this poor kit to cats who didn’t want her, and she got hurt because of it. Violetshine should have stayed in Thunderclan where she was wanted, be with her sister(her only known family), and had someone who was willing to raise her with the love and affection she as much as any kit deserved. Of course, the plot needed her to be in Shadowclan so the books would be interesting but I don’t think that’s what we’re discussing.

No, of course it wasn’t right. Do I understand why it was done? In that scenario, yes. Was it right? No. I think Rowanstar was trying to win favor with his clan honestly, by a show of believing the prophecy was partially for Shadowclan. This is the one action I will give both him and Bramblestar flack for, they shouldn’t be separated, but of course, without it happening we’d have no AVOS arc in general, so a sad sacrifice.

If Bramblestar had to absolutely give in to ShadowClan, couldn't he have given them both the kits so they wouldn't be separated?

They should have never been separated. Bramblestar is spineless.
Firestar would have never allowed that to happen. Just saying

No it wasn't right, and it was deplorable on Rowanstar's side. I can understand why Bramblestar backed down, he didn't want to risk a war that Rowanstar was threatening. He would be putting the lives of many in danger for the life of a kit they barely knew, so as a leader he made the right choice, but even he knew how morally messed up the situation was. He was angry with Rowan when he was taking his sweet ol time deciding which kit to take. Rowan on the other hand only wanted one of them because he wanted his clan to be "important" to the prophecy. He never saw her as a kit that needed a family and a home, just a tool for ShadowClan glory. He paired her up with a neglectful adopted mother, then made snide comments about how he didn't want her ending up like the apprentices after pretty much calling them dumb. Then when things didn't go his way he just let the rebels take her with them, making Violetshine feel like she didn't belong in ShadowClan at all. Rowan's actions when it came to Violet were just awful, and honestly, she deserved better. He had no right to separate them, especially when Needletail wasn't even supposed to be with Alder's group, because of his negligence to his apprentices and clan she was able to just casually sneak out. Dude was a mess.

No. Even worse from the fact how wrong it was to separate the two, Rowanstar didn't actually care about Violetkit or her well-being- he just wanted ShadowClan to be "important." That's what really disgusts me.

That's what really disgusts me. Rowanstar always only ever cared about his pride. I feel like people give him too much credit as a leader. I know he's a good cat at heart, but he never listened to anybody and if he actually respected the other Clans and gave a crap about the others, and diciplined the apprentices, none of this would have happened. He wasn't ready to become leader when it was his turn.
