Who are some really good characters that are well written and pretty consistent?
Jayfeather, Hollyleaf (if you ignore some of her issues), and Cinderpelt seem to be well written to me.

I really loved Tallstar throughout his super edition. I could personally relate to his anger and bitterness with feeling detached from his clan, as well as feeling unloved by his parents. When that frustration is unchecked and left to build up, it can lead you to do irrational things (Talltail leaving his clan to go murder Sparrow for his own closure). He learns from the experience, and instead channels that energy into caring for his clan, eventually becoming the wise and caring leader of his clan. He has his flaws, but he's an overall great character.

I think Hawkwing and Crookedstar are well-written, especially in their SEs.

I really like how Graystripe is written, especially recently.

Crowfeather and his son Jayfeather are both very consistent in their portrayal and also compelling characters.

Rootspring by far is one of the most well-written characters in the series.
