Honestly, I don't want to go into it much so I'll just list my issues with her and her story in general.
1. Wasted plot potential: She was supposed to be Hollyleaf's successor, but didn't feel as interesting as Hollyleaf in the least when it came to protagonists.
2. Lack of character agency: Despite being part of the prophecy she didn't really do anything in the final battle that was interesting to where her powers were really...important?
3: Her powers: Speaking of which, her powers aren't...impressive. Yeah, it makes her a better hunter, and helped solve some issues like the dam, etc, but what use was it for the prophecy compared to Jayfeather's dream walking and Lionblaze's battle strength?
4. Unessesary romance: Her on and off relationship with Tigerheart sucked up 90% of the character, then was beating a dead horse by AVoS, and is still shoved in our faces in TBC, why??
5. Where did her inner conflict go?: Her trauma just suddenly disappeared at some point, and never makes a reappearance to build her character ever again, and felt so wasted.
6. Her family is irritating: Pouncestep has like no pages, Lightleap has one notable scene as a warrior, Shadowsight is covered in plot armor and is devouring any screentime his sisters desperately need. And Tigertwo is absolutely unbearable to read about as both a mate and leader.
7. Her personality: Irritates me as well. She's naive, selfish, and cowardly. Following her "heart" has proven to show that she makes some very incredibly foolish decisions that cause other cats to be dragged into her nonsense.
8. Lack of maturity: Even as a mother she's still not mature since she shit talks her birth clan. She was on the path to maturing properly in DwS but then spiraled back with regression in AVoS.
9. Avoiding responsibility: She runs away or avoids all her problems, and even despite breaking the code she straight-up gets off of that Scott-free and still thinks she deserved to be welcomed back into TC with open warm paws whenever she wants, lol.
10. Trophy wife: Pretty much all she is now despite being a past protagonist and being part of a prophecy.
I very much liked and preferred her as DovePAW, and her depiction in DwS was a good step in the right direction, but then she just fell off of that. And honestly I'm just very disappointed in her now, when it comes to all other main story protagonists, she's probably the worst.
