Crowfeather: Good character?

I feel like he's fairly decent too. Crow had a pretty hard life, and lost Feather and Leaf, one from death and one pretty much abandoning him after giving him an empty promise to be with him. I can only imagine the heartache Crow must have felt, having hopes he'll be with Leaf and to finally be happy with someone, only for her to leave him. So once he returns, Crow stopped showing his affection for others, and stopped caring about other cats. He used Night to gain reputation, and because he didn't want to show his true emotions to anyone, he treated her badly, and neglected Breeze. Crow told Leaf he didn't love her anymore after they met again in NW, and you were able to tell that he was clearly still hurt by her abandonment, but to me, it showed he still cared about her, and he always will care about Leaf, even though she left him, proven in CT.
Crow even respected Night to an extent, admiring her strength, however, I feel like they don't get along because they argued so much, she just wasn't right for him, always lashing out and acting aggressive and digging her claws in him. Both cats were terrible with each other, because they used each other for their own selfish benefits instead of getting to know each other. Crow needed someone patient like Leaf or Feather, and Night just wasn't that cat, and I understand why they never worked out.
But Crow cared about his family, even if he never showed it, it was proven multiple times he cared about Breeze in Po3, when Breeze fell into a ditch with Lion, he was scared for his son's life, and he helped him as a kitten in CT during a flashback. But he doesn't show these emotions often, probably because Crow had his heart closed, and didnt want to show affection for anyone anymore after Leaf and Feather left him, and this lack of affection has affected Breeze.
I'm glad that Night and Crow eventually made amends for their son's sake, it showed a lot of maturity on both sides, to get along for the sake of their son. It's a shame this didn't happen sooner before Breeze chose the Dark Forest, because this was too late, Breeze already attempted to murder cats several times, but I guess late is better than never.
Crow became deputy after making amends with his family, and I'm not sure he deserves it, but I'm glad he's at peace with his life now. He's one of the few cats who showed a lot of growth, and changing for the better for his son's sake clearly showed how much he loved his son, and idc what the haters say.
