I feel like Jayfeather is decent, with plenty of flaws and growth. I relate to him a lot, and I totally understand why he's impatient with his Clanmates, but I also appreciate that there's a compassionate side to him.

I think so. Yes he's a grouch. He can be snappy, rude, and even a bit of an ass sometimes, but he does have a softer side to him (you can see it when he's with Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, or Briarlight), and it's hard to deny he's a good and competent medicine cat. I find him pretty relatable with his flaws as well.

I love Jayfeather, one of my favorites. He's harsh and rude on the outside, caring, dependable, and compassionate on the inside. It's clear, despite his snappy exterior, that he very much loves the cats close to him, such as Lionblaze, Alderheart, Briarlight, etc. I think he's very well-written and quite relatable.

I adore Jayfeather for all of his flaws and despite being a complete jerk at times. He mostly just prefers to keep his real feelings to himself and tends to also hide his fears and insecurities, which often results in him lashing out at others but it's very clear that he still has a lot of compassion for those who love and even understand him.
And his other Clanmates too but they annoy him a lot so there is no bonus cuddling like the ones Lionblaze gets.

I think Jayfeather's a good character. Even though it's hard for me to appreciate him because he can be so annoying and rude, and that really gets on my nerves, I'm glad that the Erins didn't make "annoying, rude, and sarcastic" his only personality trait.
