Owlsplashκ§ Molly // 34 Moons // Fisher // Heterosexual κ§ Dunestripe // little blu β₯ // Clearwater Beach
Owlsplash frowns at the sight of the tom she called her brother. He was too flirtatious and teasing for her liking, but who can choose family? As much as she disliked his behaviour, Owlsplash still loved her brother. "Why would I say hi?" she asks. "And please stop calling me Owly. It's very bothersome. I never did like it. My name is Owlsplash now, and if I have to be called by some other name, I'd prefer Owl over Owly any day." She pauses. "By the way, did you need something? Or did you just come here to tease me? As you can see, I'm quite busy. I was looking for a current when you interrupted my search. And are you sure you're fine out here? It's more dangerous the further out you are, and you know you're not a strong swimmer. If you get caught in a rogue current, it'll be tough for me to get you out. You're much heavier than me, after all." As much as Owlsplash disdained Dunestripe's attitude and behaviour, she still cared deeply for her brother, though it wasn't her if she didn't give him a tongue lashing while she was at it. Bluepawκ§ Tom // 8 Moons // Guard Apprentice // Homosexual κ§ Lotuspaw & Guppypaw // little blu β₯ & β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯ // Camp
Bluepaw was in the middle of smoothing his messy pelt and freezes with Lotuspaw's questioning. He had noticed the standoff between Oceanpaw and Barracudapaw earlier when he was scanning the camp for his mentor, but didn't think it applied to him, so he just ignored it. Now that Lotuspaw had come up to him, asking about eating, he was a little at a loss. It seems in his eagerness to learn how to fight, he'd completely forgotten about eating. That made him feel embarrassed, even though no one else knew his thought process. He blinks for a second, before responding to Lotuspaw's question with a nod.
"Sure," he meows calmly. "I'll just grab something to eat here, though. It seems Oceanpaw and Barracudapaw are fighting. What's it all about?" he asks, before adding another question. "And how's your mother? I didn't see her in camp." He truly hoped the simple-minded she-cat wasn't doing anything dangerous. It seemed that if someone didn't keep an eye on her, she'd end up in some tall tree or return with multiple injuries.

( α΄α΄‘Κ I can get up a starter for Gullchaser for Conchpaw if youβd like a bit of interaction for them! c: I just flew home today for a visit so Iβll get some replies up as soon as I can!) ( That would be wonderful! I really like the sound of Gullchaser, by the way. Gentle giants are my weakness, so I'm excited to see him in action! I hope you had a safe flight, too! Take your time, though! )

( Yay! I was reading Conchpaw's form and I thought how perfect their matchup was. I can see them bonding really well. c: )
The silver tabby listened to her brother silently as he began planning, giving a nod or two both in acknowledgement and encouragement. When he had finished, she gave her pelt another shake and spoke, "I'd be happy to lead a fishing patrol and keep my eyes out for crabs or logs along the shore." Despite being a senior warrior, Darkwater seemed to have a tireless energy. She preferred being busy over sitting around, so any chance to go and do something to help the clan was all it took to perk her up and get her ready to go. Her pointed ears twitched in anticipation at getting back into the water, but her deep blue eyes softened slightly as Nautilusstar sighed. Maybe she only had more energy than him because he had so much more to do. How different of a cat would he be if he never became leader? Darkwater couldn't help but wonder. His personality had always been one of leader, and he was suited for the role, but what toll must all that responsibility take on him? He looked tired, but the she-cat didn't know if that meant he needed to rest or something to take his mind off of things. "If you think of any cat you want me to take specifically on the fishing patrol let me know." She meowed, tone more gentle now she added, "That includes you." She touched his white shoulder with her long tail and offered a small smile.
(I'll get the post up for Gullchaser soon! c: And if anyone wants to be on the fishing patrol with Darkwater let me know!)

Ternwing - in camp - unaccompanied (open)
Becoming a hunter had seemed like the logical thing to do. As an apprentice, it was clear that she didn't have what it takes to become much else; her eyes just weren't keen enough to be the eyes of a collector, and a fisher that didn't like to swim would only catch as much prey as the most avid apprentice. She could have been guardβtruly, the idea had interested her for a moon or twoβbut hunting was the closest thing to a talent that she had, and she thought it best not to waste it, even if she garnered no special feelings from the activity.
Sometimes Ternwing wondered if she had simply settled for what was easiest or most expected of her; other times, she knew this to be true, and what would start as a quiver of unease, like an eel shimmying through the waters of her mind, would turn into a melancholy stillness, not unlike the usual gray composure that often possessed her. Perhaps that was why nobody noticed itβthat fear of hers. She was drab and quiet and hard to notice, but she did nothing to change that, just as she did nothing in the ways of becoming a guard. That was just how she lead her life, she supposed. Still, it did bother her sometimes.
In the clearing, Nautilusstar was speaking to the guard, Sparkseeker, and the fisher, Darkwater. As she watched, Ternwing couldn't help but feel a flame of jealousy sputter pitifully in the depths of her stomach. She thought that they were all very beautiful. Nautilusstar was the color of sea foam, and Darkwater reminded her of a blacktip shark; Sparkseeker, of course, was as handsome as he was confident, but those were very shallow things to envy, and there was more to her feelings than just that. More than anything, she envied them because she admired them; she admired the cool, quick intellect of the leader, the fiery diligence of the fisher, and the charm and wit of the guard. All those qualities seemed beyond her reach, and while she knew that it was wrong of her to feel that way, as none of them had become who they were that day with ease and without struggle, the feeling of jealousy quietly persisted. She tried not to think about it, though. Instead, she he continued living quietly in the gray, unnoticedβa hunter.
Peeling her eyes away from the three of then, Ternwing focused her attention on a beetle that was skittering between her paws. Beneath the bright white sun, its shell shimmered like a wet stone, and for a moment, she was tempted to swat at it like an kitten, if only to turn the tides on her dreary thoughts. It wasn't long before she relented and stabbed the sand in front of it. When it turned, she stabbed again, and her long, patched tail began to twitch behind it. Finally, growing tired of her torment, the beetle spread its wings and rose into the air. She watched it go with an interested chirp, only to feel her ears warm with embarrassment.
Time to go hunting, she thought. Rising to her paws, she shook the sand from her pelt, and cast her gaze about the camp. Maybe I can ask someone to go with me... so long as they didn't see me playing with that beetle.

( It was the perfect choice for sure! If you'd like, Darkwater can ask Ternwing to go with her to search for the crabs. c: )
Gullchaser - Collector - Camp - Conchpaw, mentioned (α΄α΄‘Κ )
With a heave, Gullchaser rose to his paws and stretched each of his limbs in turn. Rolling back his shoulders until he felt a tug on his sore muscles, he lifted his broad head to bask in the warmth of the early afternoon sun. How odd it is that even just sleeping can make you sore. The tom mused to himself. Looking around camp, he saw his leader speaking with Sparkseeker and Darkwater. Probably talking about the Clan Games. He thought with a purr. The large striped tom had always loved the games; it was a great opportunity for friendly competition - the only kind the collector could tolerate. Giving his pale green eyes a slow blink, Gullchaser realized that this would be his first Clan Games with an apprentice! His chest puffed with pride at the thought of Conchpaw. Even though he had only been mentoring him for a moon, Gullchaser was already very fond of the tom. The orange apprentice's energy, kindness, and optimism was a reflection of himself as an apprentice. It was his goal to help foster those qualities in Conchpaw while at the same time teach him the discernment to know when cats were taking advantage of his good nature. Tilting his head in further thought, Gullchaser thought about what all was left to do. A log hadn't been found! His eyes lit up with the promise of being able to find something so important for the Games - and what a great way to explore more of the territory with Conchpaw as well. With both excitement and purpose, the tom padded off towards the nests the apprentices usually slept in. Stopping when he got close enough to call out without intruding, Gullchaser's deep meowed scraped against his throat, slumber still lingering on his tone, "Conchpaw? Are you up?"

BARRACUDAPAW in camp / with apprentice gang Oceanpaw's calm, collected demeanor only made her comment more infuriating. There was contempt in her eyes as she looked Barracudapaw up and down, but she didn't act on it. Instead, the molly brushed her aside, unruffled, as if Barracudapaw was little more than an insignificant gnat, and greeted Lotuspaw instead. Barracudapaw lashed her tail. She'd hoped to get more of a reaction from the other apprentice. But, of course, little miss perfect had to deny her the satisfaction of getting under her skin.
"A small fish? Really?" Barracudapaw snorted contemptuously at Oceanpaw while Reefpaw emerged from the freshkill cave and settled by Rosepaw. She ignored them. "You left camp early and that's all you managed to bring back? What a waste. I could've caught twice that amount in the time you were gone." Not that I need to prove anything to you, she thought.
Oblivious to her sister's discomfort at the tense situation, Barracudapaw glanced over at Lotuspaw, expecting the ginger-and-white tabby to jump in and support her, as she often did. Then she spotted Lotuspaw over by Bluepaw and Guppypaw, exchanging pointless pleasantries with the two. She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips. Now there was an apprentice worthy of being her rival; Bluepaw was entirely too full of himself and seemed determined to become the best guard in CoastalClan. He was a passionate fighter and not at all passive like Oceanpaw. But not as good of a fighter as Barracudapaw was, of course. Which was obvious to anyone. As Lotuspaw chatted amiably with him, Barracudapaw shot Bluepaw a ferocious glare over her sister's shoulder from a distance.
CERULEANTIDE leaving camp / with mousestorm & nectarbee Ceruleantide's whiskers twitched self-consciously. Nectarbee thought he was grumpy? He didn't try to be grumpy. Did other cats think he was grumpy? Is that why nobody wanted him around? Well, maybe he was better off that way. Less pressure, fewer expectations... not as many opportunities to disappoint himself or others. He frowned at Mousestorm's reply. "If you want to join, go ahead, if not, great" wasn't really the answer he was looking for. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. He sighed quietly and started to pad away, resigning himself to staying behind, when Nectarbee stepped in front of him.
The golden molly grinned up at him, sunshine in her smile. Apparently, Nectarbee had taken his comment about swimming out to rescue her at face-value. The huntress was being completely genuine. Ceruleantide blinked reflexively as she tapped him lightly on the nose, eyes widening in surprise at her compliment on his fishing skills. "Oh? Well, uh, sure, I guess. I try." He shrugged nonchalantly. "If you insist, I'll come along. No promises about the land-hunting, though," he added as he followed Mousestorm out of camp. He'd always been more graceful and comfortable in water than on land. Any attempts to tutor him on Nectarbee's part would likely end in disaster. "So, where are we headed?" He asked the other tom.
OTTERSURF in camp / with slugpaw "Ho, there! Slugpaw!" Ottersurf called. He had been pondering the meaning of his latest dream -- was it a sign? a premonition from StarClan? or merely indigestion? -- when the little tom had disturbed his reverie while passing by. The dark brown tom lifted his angular head, blinking as he withdrew from his thoughts, and rose to his feet. He strode over to the apprentice and peered down his narrow snout at Slugpaw. "Didn't feel like joining your comrades this morning, did you?"
Ottersurf couldn't blame Slugpaw for wanting to keep his distance. He cast an imperious glance back at the gathering of apprentices by the freshkill cave. A rowdy bunch, that one was. There were far too many of them. When his own apprentice, Lotuspaw, wasn't giving him reasons to check his coat each morning for new grey hairs, she was happily chatting away with her fellow apprentices. Oceanpaw and Barracudapaw were facing off yet again, the latter of the two practically vibrating with rage. Aptly named, she was, that Barracudapaw. Just beyond those two were Reefpaw and Rosepaw (was that right? Ottersurf could never keep all of their names straight). To the surprise of absolutely no one, the toms were all but glued together. Ottersurf wasn't entirely sure what was going on there, but he hoped that... whatever it was... wouldn't get in the way of their training.
"Would you like to get out of camp for awhile?" He offered. Seeing as Slugpaw's mentor was nowhere to be found and Ottersurf's apprentice was otherwise occupied, he figured he may as well take the apprentice under his wing for the morning. It was a capital idea. "I could give you some pointers on collecting I'm sure you'd find quite useful. Wouldn't you? Of course you would." He laid his long, whip-thin tail across Slugpaw's shoulders, guiding him toward the entrance.

Conchpaw - in camp - accompanied by Gullchaser (shadowstreak )
Gullchaser's voice had the same affect as a sudden tap on the shoulder. Somehowβperhaps it was because the sun was shining in his eyesβit immediately woke his apprentice, and how glad his apprentice was that it had!
"Gullchaser...!" came Conchpaw's purr. With his soft belly exposed to the sun, the young tom seemed as content as a kitten in the curve of its mother's belly. Indeed, there was still a fluffiness about him that spoke to his youth, and whenever he stood beside his mentor, he had to crane his neck to meet his big green eyes. From a distance, it wasn't so bad, though. He could meet Gullchaser's eye perfectly from his sleeping spot! Oh, but what good would he be if he slept through the morning?
Rolling over quickly, Conchpaw couldn't help but kick the sand beneath his paws. He liked the way it rolled and rose like heavy waves, collapsing beneath his weight, and spraying outwards with each step, swipe, and kick of his salted pawsβbut he contained himself. He settled for one swat at a low, loose dune, which tumbled in his wake.
"Good morning" he said. Trotting towards the big, brown tom, he arched his back in a quick, yawning stretch, and licked his nose when he came to a stop in front of him. Now was the time when he craned his neck, almost ritualistically, but his eyes shone brightly as he looked up at Gullchaser. He truly liked him, and was grateful to Nautilusstar for choosing such a benevolent mentor for him. He liked to think that Gullchaser enjoyed his company as well, because they always seemed to have fun together, whether they were cleaning the nursery or helping Hibiscuspetal find her herbs, and he would hate for his feelings to be one-sided. Besides, he always looked happy to see him, and Conchpaw didn't think that he was that dense.
"What are we doing today?" he asked while rising on his toes.

slugpaw | 7 moons | collector | in camp with Ottersurf | Tealraven A slender muddy brown tom-cat with a shaggy underbelly, white speckles dotting his coat, and dark brown eyes. Slugpaw jolted and whipped around with a stumble, having been utterly shocked that the dark brown tom had approached him so swiftly. Why was he being approached? Did he do something wrong? His thoughts swarmed as his attention was now completely shifted towards Ottersurf. "Sorry about that!" he squeaked to the other group of cats before racing away. Given the sudden change of pace, his muscles tensed up on cue. "U-Uh, hi!" he blurted out with both of his ears twitching erratically. He tried his best to maintain eye contact but couldn't help noticing himself glaring down at the sandy ground every once and a while. "Well, I-I just... they seemed busy.." he trailed off. At least I don't have too talk much... Slugpaw realized. Ottersurf seemed way more active than he was so he took the opportunity to focus more on his posture, trying to ease his body by thinking on the bright side of things. The bushy tom-cat's demeanor changed once Ottersurf mentioned going outside of camp. His muscles relaxed and he was able to lift his head up from a slouch, his dark-brown eyes burning with excitement. "R-Really?" He hadn't been outside of the camp for a while and was unable to figure out where his mentor had gone for the day so this lit the spark in his mind. Maybe he would finally get the opportunity to show off his skills or maybe he would be able to learn something new! Before he could speak up again, his eyes darted in the direction of Ottersurf's tail as it laid on his shoulders, making him straighten up out of nervousness. "Oh, uh, okay sure!" he meowed, turning around to follow behind the larger tom. As they approached the entrance, Slugpaw bounded up besides Ottersurf with a burst of energy that still left a small pit of anxiety in his fluffy chest. "Wh.. Where are we gonna go?" Nothing got Slugpaw more amped up than the anticipation of where he would be going for the day. Would they be traveling to somewhere like Palm Circle, to warm up his knowledge on herbs, or somewhere like Sea Star Grove to analyze the different sea life within the tidal pool? He had no idea or way to predict this, but this was one of the main sources of exhilaration in his life that kept him going.

Bluepawκ§ Tom // 8 Moons // Guard Apprentice // Homosexual κ§ Barracudapaw, Oceanpaw, Lotuspaw & Guppypaw // β₯ππ―π¬π°π±βπ¬π°π’β₯, little blu β₯ & Tealraven // Camp
As he was talking with Lotuspaw, he notices Barracudapaw glances over towards them. He blinks a little, surprised that she was looking around, despite arguing with Oceanpaw. He felt that it was a little weird that she can concentrate on two things at once. He, for instance, can only think of fighting all the time. It was his passion, and his sole focus. Now, he'd completely forgotten his conversation with Lotuspaw, and instead, puffs up his chest in a superior way, and makes sure to look at Barracudapaw in a condescending way. Bluepaw doesn't always act flamboyantly, like just then, for example, when speaking to Lotuspaw, he was quite normal and calm, but now that his brain started working again, his flamboyant side came out in full force, and Barracudapaw just happened to be the right target. He acknowledged that Barracudapaw was a good fighter, but he still thought that he was better. After all, he was one moon older. He should be better.

(Oh my goodness, no worries owl! It happens to everyone!)
Gullchaser - Collector - Camp - With; Conchpaw (α΄α΄‘Κ )With a smile, the brown tabby watched his apprentice quite literally roll out of his nest at his call. He waited as Conchpaw took a moment to stretch and pause to swat at a sand dune before trotting over to his mentor. Gullchaser bent down slightly to lessen the distance for Conchpaw to lick his nose. As he did so, the tom held back a purr of amusement. Sure, he was used to being larger than most of his clanmates, but the difference in size between him and his apprentice was still sometimes a shock to him. Of course, the orange tabby had much growing to do and would quickly be catching up to his senior warrior's size.
Giving him a nudge with his head before straightening up again, Gullchaser returned his apprentice's greeting. "Good morning, Conchpaw." His tone was filled with warmth. The brown tom had heard some of his fellow mentors grumble about how crabby their apprentices were in the morning; Gullchaser was beyond thrilled that Conchpaw was so eager to train each day. It definitely made his job easier, and as a first-time mentor, he was very grateful for that. Truthfully, he had frequently worried that he wouldn't make a good mentor. He knew that he would care for whoever his apprentice would be, but he feared that he lacked the fierce ambition of other mentors. So often he saw Collectors, Hunters, Fishers, and Guards tirelessly training their apprentices to make the most skilled future clan-cats they could. Of course, this mades sense, and Gullchaser knew that. He just couldn't see himself being as into that side of things. He believed that it was more important to teach the basics - an apprentice would be able to pick it up from there and make a style of their own. The focus, Gullchaser believed, should be on helping his apprentice to be completely confident in themselves. It's what he wished his own training had been like.
Conchpaw's question pulled him out of his thoughts. "A log still needs to be found for the Clan Games," He meowed thoughtfully, taking a moment to consider the options before continuing. "I still haven't shown you the Wilds yet, have I?" His meow was somewhat hesitant. He knew how dangerous the Wilds were, so he definitely didn't plan on an extensive tour. However, it was important that his apprentice know where its border was and the basics. "There's no need for us to go into it," He began, nipping any possible request to do so in the bud, "But we can see the edge and maybe get lucky and find a log on the outskirts."
