ALOEBREEZE palm circle / with squirrelmist
"Well, here we are," Aloebreeze announced, lifting his head with a placid smile to the palm fronds that fluttered high above them. The trees that dotted the edges of the clearing swayed and creaked gently in the balmy breeze, but down on the ground the air was warm and still. His fur prickled uncomfortably from the humidity. Not that it bothered him, of course. On an afternoon as lovely as this one, what was there to complain about?
The Siamese tom padded across the grass to inspect a vibrantly-hued cluster of hibiscus flowers. So many to choose from and so little time! But the flowers had to be perfect; somebody's future love life could depend on it. "Ooh, how about these ones? Too gaudy?"
He turned and scanned the area behind him for his fellow collector. "Squirrelmist?" Oh, he hoped the molly hadn't gotten lost. She was a brilliant collector, but she wasn't always the shiniest seashell on the shore. He was so sure she'd been right behind him. "Come on, now, these flowers won't gather themselves!" He called, a note of anxiety creeping into his slow, calm voice.

Squirrelmist wasn't originally going to run off, but the call of being in a tree was just too much. She loved the feel of being so high up from the ground. The wind smelt and felt wonderful that high up. And so, the she-cat wandered away from the tom that was chatting in front of her. She didn't mean to, but she just felt it a tad boring. The simple-minded she-cat had very little self-control, and her attention span was relatively short, so as much as she tried to listen to Aloebreeze, she couldn't help but wander off.
The ginger she-cat slowly made her way to a very tall tree and began to climb. Her only thought was to reach the top where she knew her reward was waiting. She wriggled her bum a little as she made her way up, eager to reach the top. As much as she was a collector of beautiful things, Squirrelmist didn't always care for collecting things a lot of the time. Plus, she had no love for flowers. It was just something she felt deep down.
The she-cat hears Aloebreeze calling out for her, and pauses, but it doesn't stop her from comtinuing her way up the tree. (brambleflight Thornstrike looks great as Squirrelmist's mate.)

Ashspirit blinks at Sunberry before nodding. "Sure, Sunberry," he meows. The tom's blank face was always present, and although he felt a little surprised, it didn't show on his face or body language. The tom looked lazy and relaxed. His eyes narrow to Sunberry's sore paw. "Are you sure you should be walking?" He was a little worried about the older she-cat. "Maybe you should rest?"
"...Not really..." he grumbles. This was the only time Ashspirit really showed his emotions. The tom wasn't excited about much, not even the Flower Gathering. The only time he was even remotely excited was when his kits were born. Driftpaw, Reefpaw and Oceanpaw were all gorgeous kits, and although he felt pained by Reefpaw's injury, he knew he'd always support the three kits that belonged to him. |
