Are they still or where they ever accurate?
There seems to be an overall opinion that almost all information to be found in any Field Guide has been or can be proven as incorrect most of the time. Be it during main series events or a different/changed story narrative for the characters in general.

And you did a great job at these too but my question is more about the cats personal history, rather than their looks.

as a whole they don't differ much from canon, but a lot of the stuff from DOTC3 onwards isn't accurate since i'm pretty sure it was published before the arc finished
the only examples i can think of off the top of my head might be moth flight and windstar, their short story has moth flight being exiled by her mother which obviously didn't happen
i think it's just a general rule with the guidebooks, most of them besides the ultimate guide have stuff that blatantly contradicts details in the future or in one of the main books
