Although I'm not big on the creator of the video, this was an interesting take on looking at the series. I'm still half way though it, but it's wild to see some comments from the forums on there too, along with screenies from other sites.

Finally finished it at some point and it's an interesting watch. Mostly an overview of the history of the books, the writers, and the fandom, along with fandom drama in general. But it also highlights the good side of the fandom first, and its creativity. A pretty good watch.

It was really interesting and quite informative as well!
Some of the Warrior Cats Youtubers have also already commented (Moonkitti and Blixemi).
I wasn't aware that Su Susann was a German "superfan" before watching this video, for example.
Such an eductional take on the Warriors Fandom and drama!

It was so horrifying realizing I was too old to remember most of the drama the creator talked about. I remember the Dovecourse (admittedly... I contributed to it), but I was never super active in the Tumblr WC scene. Most of what I heard was through vagueposts about it, lmao.
The fan animation community, on the other hand... suddenly I want to go back and rewatch all those old MAPs and fanvids!

I watched it yesterday, I thought it was pretty good! It introduced me to some drama I didn't know about so that was cool. I was surprised to see that she used one of my posts in the video.

I noticed around the 10:37 mark that one of my posts that was quoted was used. I wasn’t expecting it, but I am glad that it is there. It feels odd seeing one of your old posts pop up in a random video.

I haven't watched it yet (too long to finish in one sitting) but I feel like the forum posts in the video show that what you say on the internet more or less stays on the internet forever. It must be strange, seeing your own forum posts in there lol.

I actually remember most of this discourse, especially because I'm also active on other sites other than here, so it was unavoidable if you're here long enough. I think the funniest one was definitely the first one, over the Firestar animation, I still can't believe that one was a thing.

I haven't been in touch with the fandom since the DOTC era, but you can bet I watched this. I have so many fan animations to watch.

I thought they were going to talk about some of WCF's greatest hits, although that probably would have been even more of a reckoning for me than the video already was, haha. I feel like Warriors fanartist and Warriors roleplayer drama were two different kinds of unhinged.

ngl i was kinda expecting more of a deep dive into the fan forum culture, sorta like how Sarah Z when presenting a niche internet topic will explore and explain relevant rabbit holes to her audience. not everything of course, but major site events like the OOTS wedding, or even just commentary on the wildly differing levels of effort put into fan clans/RPing.
clearly she found the forums, but besides a few screenshots, she didn't even mention it specifically. and there's such a wealth of cringey yet interesting internet history here lol it's disappointing not to get more outside perspective on it.
i think there were a few basic things she got wrong too (like she said Scourge was the main villain of arc 1 and didn't even mention Tigerstar, and that Silverstream was a main character).
