I was inspired by a thread and comment from ᏞᎪᎠᎽ Ꮎf fᎪᏁᎠᎾms ミ☆ to write down my AU where Brambleclaw x Feathertail and Crowfeather x Squirrelflight happened instead of their unfortunate canon fates.

Intro:
This particular alternative universe has all of the original cats that were chosen to go on the Sundrown Place quest still embark on it with the obvious changes being the different relationship dynamics as Brambleclaw bonds with Feathertail over the constant dangers that seem to lurk in wait of the group at every corner of the seemingly endless world that they discover beyond Clan territories.
They both worry for the fellow cats that went with them onto the journey and also talk about the bonehill situation which initially made both Feathertail and her brother Stormfur suspicious of Brambleclaw and his sister Tawnypelt and also had them feel wary around the two Tigerstar descendants, this probably goes for Hawkfrost and Mothwing too. The two pairs of siblings learn to trust each other on their shared travels however and meanwhile watch Crowpaw and Squirrelpaw quarrel with each other about which one of them is from the best Clan, the better hunter, tracker, fighter and so on.

The Silver Cat Prophecy:
When the group eventually reaches Sundrown Place and speaks to the multilingual ghost badger also known as Midnight, she still sends them to go back to their home by using the scenic mountain route instead of having to go through yet another Twolegplace.
There they also meet the Tribe of Rushing Water and learn about the prophecised cat that is supposed to save them from a terrifying mountain lion named Sharptooth. In this universe the Tribe cats are aware that silver is not the same as gray and thus do not mistake Stormfur for the so called saviour. This gives Feathertail enough time to think up a better plan to get rid of the maneless lion cat which eventually ends up being "luring him to the edge of a cliff to fall to his death" as opposed to "crushing him with a stalactite".

The Great Journey:
Upon Feathertail surviving their little mountain detour, the questing cats return home to the now partly destroyed land of the Clans and both Feathertail and Stormfur do not receive a very warm welcome by Leopardstar or any of their Clanmates who instead question the two siblings loyalty, which will later in the story come into play again.
After Graystripe is abducted by a bunch of twolegs, Brambleclaw comforts Feathertail and gives her hope of her father's possible return. When all of the Clans finally decide to travel together towards their new potential home Brambleclaw and Feathertail are often watching out for their respective Clans together and are seen by a lot of cats to have a suspiciously close relationship with each other which a lot of cats comment negatively on because they even continue on doing so in canon to this very day.

Hawkfrost:
Brambleclaw's scheming younger half-brother still has his little rebel moment with Mudclaw and is also not pleased to see his older bro be so close with a Half-Clan cat even though he himself is Half-Rogue.
He constantly badmouths the GraySilver kits to his fellow Clanmates and cats of other Clans as well while simultaneously trying to seize the power over RiverClan from both Leopadstar and Mistyfoot by increasing his popularity within the Clan and still manipulating his sister into creating fake omens that spell doom for them if they won't get rid of certain cats.
His connection with Brambleclaw is a bit more cautious than in the original because the older warrior is not as naive to Hawkfrost's faults like he was in canon. Their tentative bond becomes even more frail when Hawkfrost succeeds in getting both Feathertail and Stormfur banished from RiverClan after forcing Mothwing to lie about "the two stones that prevented the flowing River from running along smoothly". Feathertail and Stormfur once again seek shelter in ThunderClan like they did back during Tigerstar's reign and Feathertail stays there even after Hawkfrost is killed under "mysterious circumstances".
Her brother Stormfur goes back to RiverClan and eventually becomes their leader because Mistystar was done before she even started. Hawkfrost's death stays the same as in the original series because it was epic and I don't know how else to finish him off.

Outro:
Meanwhile in ThunderClan, Feathertail and Brambleclaw become mates and end up having many kits together while Squirrelflight and Crowclaw, which would have been his actual warriors name until he requested -feather himself, have a playful friendship till they are made warriors which is when their attachment starts to grow into romantic affection. They either end up having The Original Three (Holly, Lion and Jay) or at least one entirely different litter of kits.
