I'm sorry I've made a lot of threads lately!
So now we know we're getting Bamboo Kingdom. But let's just say another series happened in the future. What animals would you want it to feature? I think whales would be a great choice but even more than that I want to see a series featuring prehistoric animals.

FOXES! specifically arctic foxes. there's another series about a red fox, so i want my fave fox to get a series! arctic foxes r so cute and cool and i've loved them since i was a kid
and i also second cinder. i love meerkats too! meerkat manor was awesome and it'd be funny to see a warriors-style version of it because meerkat manor itself is full of similar elements to warriors (family drama, gang/clan wars, love drama between gangs/clans)

Wolves would be kinda cool. I'm also down for the meerkats as well. I adored Meerkat Manor as a kid.
Maybe they could even do ones with African Wild Dogs. Those animals are cool af

Those animals are cool af The African wild dog one, huh. First time someone besides me has sort of wanted a series on those guys. Granted, at the same time I don't, solely because I made a whole story on those guys over three years ago, (and have posted a few pages of the comic form which I'm redoing.) So if an Erin Hunter series comes out with those guys, I don't want to be yelled at for "copying" when my story is the predecessor. 😆

Although give me a manatee or otter series. Also wouldn't mind a bird story or kangaroo story.

I kinda wanna see how they'd do a series focused on Hyenas for some reason. Like how they'd do the hierarchy and matriarch societies they got and whatnot. I'm a huge hyena stan and even watched almost every youtube documentary I could find, even made a whole family of OCs of them... so I have quite an interest in them. >3>

An ocean-centered series would be so cool. Plus it'd be brand-new material for the Erins with lots of new animals to focus on.

I think seals would be interesting to do. They can have all their culture underwater and then have gatherings on land. Plus, a ton of fights with sharks and orcas and of course, ocean pollution.
A prehistoric species would also definitely be fun, though personally I'd want to go for a more underrepresented animal much like Ratha's Creature did with the nimravids(albeit very far removed from reality). Seeing a Hyaenodon or Inostrancevia based series would be very cool.

I want to say hares just because I love the animal, however, they're not very social animals, and they tend to not live in groups, there are only a few select times when they are in groups, so I'm not sure if they would fit this type of series. Deer or squirrels would be other choices of mine.

Very solid point, though I don't think cats are that non-social, from what I've learned, feral cats sometimes live in colonies where they help take care of each others' kittens. However, the point still stands that it can be overlooked about hares not being social creatures, and it is a point that I'll gladly accept.

The extent of socialization is indeed protecting closely related kittens, with no cooperative hunting or much in the way of social interaction. Male cats don't live in them either. Their colonial behavior is more akin to birds, oras, or crocodiles in a group where while they may tolerate each other's presence and play nice with their friends, there's very little actual cooperation.

So I know the whole Erin Hunter brand is animal fiction, but I would love to see them take on human characters in a strange world, perhaps struggling to survive in early history or in a fantasy setting where everything is huge and threatening.
That random thought out the way though, I'd love a series based on mythical animals. We already have Flight Rising so not dragons, but maybe something like unicorns or gryphons? Maybe trying to survive in a world where they are slowly becoming extinct, hunted by humanity and in conflict with each other.
I do think that the Erin's might have some fun with something a little unconventional to work with. Maybe an insect kingdom with lots of intersecting species and abilities, all trying to hold together while keeping themselves safe or risking going alone in a dangerous times. Large scale wars between ants and moths and espionage amongst the butterflies and their cricket neighbors.

I want them to make series for maybe animals from every continent, and Kangaroos from Australia, Jerboas from Europe, Birds from Brazil as some examples, or maybe an endangered species and struggles they go through.
I would always like them to create something new too, we’ve never had any books about Otters, or red pandas, which would probably be an interesting option for Bamboo Kingdom, a lot of animals don’t really get enough spotlight (or maybe I can make a series about them on my own) there are so much that can be explored, maybe a three different animal POV just like Bravelands, these are just some ideas.
